BTW, There is a cap on it. It's a dummy type of cap to keep it free of dirt and water. Look at it closely, there is a tab you press down and it will pull right off.
The electrical plug is for the accessory socket. Check the Honda accessories page on the Honda site. I just purchased one and installed it. It cost about $100.
nothind wrong with that. You'll be a little more expose to wind on your legs. But area around the seat is where most the electrical connections are so at least use dielectric grease all those connections to prevent water intrusion and corrosion

don't remember it is basically a ATV scissor jack. I got on Amazon or Harbor Freight.
