As an OKC native I think it would have been fitting to add in OU's stadiums to the mix. Even though they're in Norman, the two cities are very interconnected and I would argue that Norman is just another larger sub-community of OKC, much like Edmond and UCO. I've personally commuted from OKC to Norman multiple times a week for school, and it didn't feel like I was switching cities. Great video still- I was especially shocked when I saw my highschool football "stadium", I would have never imagined the Broncos would earn a spot on this list.
As an Oklahaoman, Bricktown got its name due to the vast amount of brick making factories that dotted the land before. It underwent a radical transformation with the addition of a canal in what is now known as the current Bricktown today. A lot of businesses actually still use the old factories, it’s actually a really cool little place!
hopefully they go back to red endzones. and looks like they finally flipped the logo to face the home side since ive been there. was facing the away side (old home) for years after the current home stands were built.
Vastly more people from OKC will go the the OU stadiums/arenas in Norman than the ones in Edmond, it is barely any travel time difference, and both Edmond and Norman are in the OKC metro.
You did mustang (a suburb) yet you didn’t include Gaylord memorial stadium (where the university of OK football teams plays), in Norman, just outside Okc. This stadium is one of the top 20 largest in the world seating 84,489 people.
Really love this series you're doing. All of the videos have been great so far. Also just wanted to say that Miami/South Florida have some great stadiums and arenas.
Taft stadium- There use to a professional football team during the 70s named the Wranglers. I know I saw at least one game. Before my family moved to the PC school district, I lived in house where if I went out to the middle of the street- I could see the TAFT sign straight ahead. I still use that sign to turn if I want to see my old house. Cecil Semara (long time OU fan) lived on the same street. I think during the 90s Grambling came to town and played Langston there( not 100% sure on that one).
I been inside the mustang basketball stadium because of a winter basketball tournament… and the okc fairground stadium for high school basketball state… and a couple more locations
Awesome video thank you for showing love to Okc!! And for putting my alma mater edmond north in the video lol. But I’m not sure if they fit your criteria or not but all 3 edmond schools have large football stadiums about the same size as mustangs.
Bricktown is a cool neighborhood in OKC. As he said nearly every building is made of brick including the McDonald's in the neighborhood plus it has a canal and lots of shops and restaurants
I live about a mile away from the Jim Norick Arena and can personally attest that it hasn’t been demolished yet. (I drove past it just yesterday.) BTW it was recently announced that its replacement will be named the OG&E Coliseum.
@@zachariahshort6546lolol. The distance from OKC to Edmond and OKC to Norman is essentially the same. Also, a large part of OKC is located in the same county as Norman. Norman stadiums should have been included in the video since Edmond was.
Actually, the Seattle Supersonics were basically kicked out of the city - Seattle, that is. After they'd been sold to the team's current ownership group, the new owners demanded the City of Seattle build them their own pleasure palace of an arena that they (the club's owners) wouldn't contribute any money toward its construction, but would receive all revenues from - or else. Seattle has a long history of teams making similar threats, so the City told them to kick rocks, which was exactly what Clayboy Bennett wanted, and he quite happily took his toy to OKC, where he'd already had a deal in place for that pleasure palace he wanted.
From what I've heard, it isn't called "Newcastle" because the baseball team didn't want to be associated with a casino or gambling, not so much the town of Newcastle. The same thing would have happened if they tried to call it something like "River Wind" which is another nearby casino.
The Thunder's Josh Giddey has a sister who plays basketball at SNU. Pretty weird for two Australians to end up here in Oklahoma but still cool regardlessl
Their minor league team is owned by the LA dodgers, so the team was called the OKC dodgers, idk if the dodgers stoped ownership last year or something but they are trying to get a new name. The OKC thunder are also getting a new arena and it will be in the place of prairie surfs
That’s not even close to what happened the dodgers are still very much the parent team and that’s not changing the name changing is becus “We didn’t want to be called the dodgers” & OKC baseball club is only temporary till we get a official name & if u look on the jerseys on the sleeves still has that LA dodgers logo
Well. Baseball is also really big in Japan, Venezuela, Mexico, and several Carribean islands. Soooo... Sorta Not only America. But nice joke though. Ha ha ha ha.
Seems like was posted around the time it was announced that two of the LA Olympic games will be in OKC, Softball and Canoe Slalom. If it were chosen for any other reason would be one hell of a coincidence.
Thank for doing OKC

I don’t think I would’ve predicted a D-2 stadium being on the thumbnail for one of these cities. Glad UCO gets its flowers
Love it! Heads up, Prairie Surf will soon be demo’d for the new $900m Thunder Arena.
Prairie Surf was originally called The Myriad and later became Cox Business Services Convention Center.

It underwent a radical transformation with the addition of a canal in what is now known as the current Bricktown today. Forgot to mention, that’s why every building was made out of bricks, because most were actually brick making factories!
The softball stadium is now OGE Energy Field at Devon Park. Do the stadiums of Oklahoma's second largest city, Tulsa.
And will host softball for the LA28 Olympics
Watching this channel brings me inner peace ...
i understand this
because the softball stadiums size we are now getting softball for the olypics in 2028
7:00 I play on the football team and we have a new score board ( diffrent from the one on google maps), and we are getting new turf this off-season
your ass does NOT play on the team lmfao, not even first string LMFAO
hopefully they go back to red endzones. and looks like they finally flipped the logo to face the home side since ive been there. was facing the away side (old home) for years after the current home stands were built.
Might have been good to do the metro area to include Norman and tie it into your Big XII video
Vastly more people from OKC will go the the OU stadiums/arenas in Norman than the ones in Edmond, it is barely any travel time difference, and both Edmond and Norman are in the OKC metro.

You should do a video on all Olympic stadiums from 1896-2024

You probably graduated from okcps if your graduation was in the cox convention center lol (northeast alumni here)
Taft used to be a racetrack! My uncle drove there!
Do Tulsa next if you can!
I been inside the mustang basketball stadium because of a winter basketball tournament… and the okc fairground stadium for high school basketball state… and a couple more locations
Would love to see a lower capacity stadium video imo
Do the stadiums of MLS Next pro
Coming soon-THE STADIUMS OF ATX!
Awesome video thank you for showing love to Okc!! And for putting my alma mater edmond north in the video lol. But I’m not sure if they fit your criteria or not but all 3 edmond schools have large football stadiums about the same size as mustangs.
Sad to see you didn’t cover an Edmond HS, the new stadiums are amazing.
Yeh they updated edmond and uco both the years i graduated 😆
UCO MENTIONED LET’S GOOOO
The stadiums of Boston - 4 facilities still in use that are over 100 years old.
Do Norman oklahoma
UCO ROLL CHOS!! 🐎
Bricktown is a cool neighborhood in OKC. As he said nearly every building is made of brick including the McDonald's in the neighborhood plus it has a canal and lots of shops and restaurants
Neighborhood isn’t the right word it’s more entertainment district
Thank you for this
Nah that OKC 💣 joke was crazy 😂
Do All Oklahoma Except The High School Stadiums PLS im from oklahoma
Jim Norick arena demolition caught me off guard lol 😀
I live about a mile away from the Jim Norick Arena and can personally attest that it hasn’t been demolished yet. (I drove past it just yesterday.) BTW it was recently announced that its replacement will be named the OG&E Coliseum.
no Love's Field?
Surprised my HS football stadium was in this. We always called ourselves the horse horses.
You forgot the stadiums in Norman, a college town that is the suburb of OKC
It’s not exactly a suburb. Norman is 30 minutes from okc and in another county.
@@zachariahshort6546lolol.

@zach So is Mustang & Edmond they’re all suburbs to OKC 🤦🏾♂️
Oooooh been waiting on this one
Broncos Statium and the UCO Stadium isnt in OKC Proper, as well as the last one showed
What’s about Kansas City?
You failed to mention: Prairie Surf Studios is being demolished for the new OKC Thunder arena. Timeline is uncertain.
Mustang is where New York Jets defensive lineman Dennis Byrd went to high school.
Can you do Daytona beach

Literally sponsored by Newcastle and has still has their banner hanging in the ballpark so🤷🏾♂️🤣
Theres no way theres actually a school that slapped a Denver Broncos logo on an M😂
Mustang is a literal size of a small college campus
Jim Norick arena will be later in 2025 because of a construction delay. A lot of call it the Big house
Should have shown Jenks or Tulsa Unions HS football stadium. I think they’re bigger than UCO.
The Thunder's Josh Giddey has a sister who plays basketball at SNU. Pretty weird for two Australians to end up here in Oklahoma but still cool regardlessl
Totally missed a lot more arenas
Taft field is TINY for professional soccer. If they removed 3 lanes off the track it might meet the minimum width
Atlanta, GA please!!
Agreed
genres of horse is something i never thought that id hear
I never thought the day would come
Edit: could have included the university’s in Stillwater and Norman
Not only is the USA Hall of Fame Softball Stadium the biggest softball stadium in the world, it is the only softball stadium in the world.
Comment #3 of saying pls do Chicago.

Count me in!
BRO YOU FORGOT THE OU FOOTBALL STADIUM
We need UFL, NFL, MLB, NWSL, MLS and MLR In Oklahoma City with new Stadiums that could be next door or independent to OC Thunder Arena
They're gaining an all purpose stadium 🏟️ coming soon
OKC already has a triple A team so I doubt we ever get an MLB team
Chicago please
Forgot Gaylord family-Oklahoma Memorial stadium which is in Norman( a suburb of OKC)
It doesn't count
@@TheStreetFoolosopherMr187 They include Edmond and Mustang stadiums, not including the larger and more prominent ones Norman is just odd.
Columbus, OH!
Ha it’s weird seeing my high school get mentioned in a TH-cam videos
Odd choice to not include the rest of the metro. Edmond, Norman, etc etc. Plenty more stadiums around
Day 1 of asking for Detroit to be next
Memphis !
No way this isn't Danger Dolan
I can confirm that my name isn't Dolan.
@@TheWideWorldofStadiums Darn.. even said have a good one just like him
SNU got featured 🤌🏼
OKC soccer team doesn't draw jack
Just use the new stadium for Baseball
This video was...ok...c?
I went to Mustang High School, and we have a cool football & baseball stadium & and a nice gymnasium, but away from sports, the school is a disaster.
Austin
OKLAHOMA MENTIONED
Division 3 football
Well. Baseball is also really big in Japan, Venezuela, Mexico, and several Carribean islands. Soooo... Sorta Not only America. But nice joke though. Ha ha ha ha.
okc is ok with me
Such a random city to choose lol
Seems like was posted around the time it was announced that two of the LA Olympic games will be in OKC, Softball and Canoe Slalom. If it were chosen for any other reason would be one hell of a coincidence.
Chickasaw is pronounced Chick-a-Shea
Chickasha is pronounced Chick-a-Shea. Chickasaw is Chick-a-Saw.
Umm no
We don't need all this junk
Cool….. hey, wait a minute! This isn’t The Stadiums of Pittsburgh!!! We want The Stadiums of Pittsburgh!!!!!!
