@@cwozzzz yes! My vlog channel is called cozyplantlady
lol fern, I love how you’re always so concerned about the background noise, but I never ever hear what noises you get annoyed by lol. I didn’t even know they were doing construction 😂 love the videos 💖
Hahaha I’m glad it didn’t come through!
So happy Greta is planted. When she was a big girl she was magnificent, but i understood why you had to chop her. Last year a found a beautiful one in a 8 inch pot with gorgeous big leaves and great variagation and had to repot her into a 10 inch pot, was drying out so much. Mine is hanging and love it, i dont use moss poles. Your Greta was my inspiration. Thank you for all you do. You are amazing ❤
We are LOVING the longer videos! And FERN you always have the prettiest nails 🥹🥹
So excited for Greta's new chapter 💚🪴💚
me too 🥰 thanks for watching x
Blessing us with 2 videos ❤
Absolutely love anything propagation related!! 🪴🥰
thank you 🥺 and so glad to hear that, me too! propagation is one of the most exciting parts of this hobby 🥰💚
A new song throughout and a different part of the end song?! ✨ I’m here for it! 😍
Awww thanks for noticing ☺️
I havent been keeping up lately, because ive been so jealous of your collection! I had to get rid of almost all of my plants when i moved last year, and the few i kept, died during winter 😢. But this video made me feel inspired to go get some new ones soon!! I will always appreciate your content Fern!
Rewatching and 😍 is that tablespoon a teeny piggy?! 🐷 So precious!
Sooooo excited for the majestic and of course Greta!!
Meeee too!! Thank you :)
TFS Fern. It was a fun one! Always are... Your hard work is noticed and appreciated ❤

ahh I'm so glad to hear that :) thank you!
I vote for Greta GTG as name.

I’ve had a great time watching her make her comeback ❤️
Thanks for sharing the journey with us!
Marble queen was my first plant too! I’ve still got it 🥹❤️
Mine too. It's was a mix, a marble queen and a golden pothos. I still have mine also.
Oh and it had a snow queen in there too. I love them all😊
awww I love that. it's a fantastic first plant!
Hi Fern I would lik e to thank for a discount on Molly's mix I'm ready to try her bend now for the new spring growing season.I Hope your well and Happy . See you in the next Video 👋 ❤😊
i’ve been procrastinating my plant chores for weeks, thanks for the motivation to do them!
It has been beautiful the past week. In the 70 degree territory. Nearly 80 a couple days. I imagine you’ve been getting some nice weather too. Well that was nice, I’ve for gotten what I was going to say. lol. Old age. So far this is a nice video. I’ve got a couple up pots I need to do. One plant to cut back in hopes of getting some growth. It’s been stuck for theirs my crimson princess the past year. I’m not outdoor gardening though I have in the past. Thats all.
My frustration with outdoor gardening is what got me started with houseplants! We live up against 130 acres of the Angeles National Forest in the high desert of California (ie…not much green!) so anytime I plant anything out there, the wildlife vine from moules around to devoir it. I’ve tried everything. I think the only way I will be able to grow veggies outside is with a greenhouse. It’s on my wishlist!
Enjoyed your video as always and did some repotting myself along with you 😊🫶🏼🪴
I just started adding moss to the top of the soil around the anthurium/alocasias stems, seems to make them happier so far
I do the same kinda plant purge, usually while doing other planty chores, realize there’s ones that don’t make me happy, they go!
We’re moving to a new property with a big backyard, with a 1/2 wall planter and I’m so excited to do some outdoor gardening!!! Gonna do a veggie patch, plant some bulbs and put up a greenhouse!! Can’t wait!
I’m with you on the amount of cuttings for a moss pole, 2-3 are perfect for what we wanna do, except for my Adensonii, it’s on a really wide pole though
Queen Greta!
Love your videos and plant collection! I’m getting started in tissue culturing plants and also growing these hybrid purple tomatoes 🍅 Super excited to see how both progress over the year ❤
Hey Fern, I've really enjoyed watching this and all your current vids cos I'm pretending that we're in spring too🤭🙃 But obviously I'm prepping my plants for winter, getting the heat mat out again for my alocasia and other little props I'll me preparing in case the mother plants die over winter. AND I'm excited to set up my new tension Plant hanging pole (from an Aussie company called The Urban Jungle) as well as my one and only Soltech Aspect Grow Light with its Archetto Transparent Wall Mount....I'm so excited!!! Also, I will be re-arranging my 'plant room' (er... it's not really a room, it's just a section of my house in which sits my Baby Grand piano and my daughter's drum kit and around which about 60-70 plants live🤦🏻♀🫣) Anyways, those roots on your Vittarifolium looked like Stalactites haha! Very nice 👌🏼
Thanks Connie! I hope all of your winter prep goes well 😃 it sounds like you’ve got a really great setup, I’m sure they’ll be happy :)
I’m also in the PNW and I’ve got kale, broccolini, cherry tomatoes, and some verbena seedlings going! Just started germinating some bell peppers too 😊 this is only my second year outdoor gardening so I’m still getting this whole “starting plants from seed” thing figured out
Idk how I missed this yesterday, bc I watched the vlog as soon as i got home from work.. but it was lovely having another new video to enjoy after work today as well 💚 I'm so excited to see how Greta does on the pole!! And as far as filming in advance and then showing updates right away that sounds great, but also what if you just showed us how last month's re-pots are doing at the end of re-pot videos? Obviously we just had the tour (which was amazing!!) so we've seen all current updates, but say if you repot in april you can show march's plants? Am I making sense? Idk maybe I'm just rambling? haha Happy Spring!! 🌱🌿🍃🌞
I never thought about having less cuttings when putting a plant on a moss pole!! Thanks for the advice, no wonder my epi albo isn’t growing that well!
I have the poles. I have the moss. I have the plants. I’ve somehow been scared to try actually putting them on the poles. I’m doing it this weekend! Seeing you do it so often has given me the confidence!
Lol. That's EXACTLY how I felt. I ended up just using a cutting I had a bunch of just a queen marble pothos so that if I ruined anything it wasn't the end of the world lol it gave me confidence and now im addicted. However ... that being said. There's nothing to be scared of lol. It's easy and they LOVE it. Lol.
I did the same thing. My Syngonium aurea, I just keep cutting back. I made one pole for my monstera and let the moss dry out. I may sell the second pole I bought. One moss pole is enough.
Watching this repotting video while preparing to film a major repot myself 🥹 Your content always inspires me so very much miss girl 💛
I got some elephant ear bulbs that I started today! I live in the pnw too so I put them in pots and brought them inside. I was never a big outdoor plant person but I’m super excited to see how big they get this summer 😊
Fern, self watering hanging pots have been a game changer for me and my strap leaf anthurium. Actually, for all my anthurium. Plants I get in soil go into a very heavy TFF (50%) and aroid soil mix into self watering or no drainage. If they’re bare root they go in PON.
Oh that sounds like what I need!! Where did you purchase those pots?
I love Winners Homesense for cover pots!
oh yes me too! I need to pop in there again soon now that it's spring 👀
I’m experimenting with outdoor gardening this year! I’ve never been good at keeping flowers alive but I recently planted some dandelions in the front yard, and I’m growing spring onions in water!! I love little planty experiments
I love this. I need to ppit my pothos in a pole. I finally got the supplies so now im super excited.
ahh that is super exciting! they look incredible when they size up. good luck :)
@@wildfern ty Fern. You inspire me Everytime I watch your videos. I hope to have my pothos look like yours
😊
Hello Fern! Happy Monday!! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week 🥰
Hello and Happy Monday to you as well 🫶 tysm for watching x
If I were starting with cuttings then three or four would be good for me. It would depend on what they looked like.
I have two monstera on one pole. Thats cause the two came together in one pot and I didn’t realize until I put on a pole. The roots are all intertwined so I le ft it as one.
I just upsized and put on a moss pole my Epipremnum Pinnatum Marble. I’m obsessed with her.
ahhh I actually just did the same with my pinnatum marble last week too 🙌 can't wait to watch it size up
Cover pots! I just thrifted one yesterday that’s a ceramic bean pot (random, I know) that’s like 6 or so inches wide! Plus it’s glazed on the inside so it can retain water. Anyways, don’t forget to check the homewares!
I also feel like this year is super busy. I have my own wedding this year and also my soon to be sister in law’s. I keep on saying I can get a plant in a few months when finances stabilize but realistically I think my plant collection will be staying the same for a while (and hopefully while I’m busy I don’t have many plant deaths)
The time change is a killer especially the older you get. I have struggled big time this year. My Circadian rhythm is totally screwed up I am getting maybe 4 hours sleep maybe 6 since the change.
Greta, the returning wonder.
love propagation videos!! you're making me wanna chop some of my plants or something👀
but fr I got some green lace wings to battle my thrip outbreak and I'm so excited to actaully do something about these little assholes... pray for me yall
I’ve found so much Alex Kehm from watching your videos and I love them’ great choices in songs!
Thank you for the content!! 👏🏼
I love anthurium. Some just don't like me!! Have a great week!!
That stem could have been laid horizontally in the soil (like how you lay wet sticks on moss). I've done this with several kinds of props and the new growth always grows out normally without issue 😊😊
Cute little glow ups ✨ Love it 💗
I think a South facing window could be to strong for your anthurium. Maybe some of the discolor on the leaves are from sun bleaching.
I think so too 😮 i’ll prob have to find another place to put it soon! The yellowing was on the props though and they weren’t in the window, I think it was just because they were so dehydrated when I cut them off x
soooo relaxing as usual 😩 love from France
If I plan to get rid of a plant that is bothering me, or is bothering itself, I do the 2 step rule. 1st step: Set outside. 2nd step: See if it survives in our NW weather.
If it does, great, it lives the rest of it's life outside. If not, then fate chose.
Gretchen like Gretchen Wieners (Mean Girls Movie). “Her leaves are so big because her moss is full of secrets”. 😆
omg hahah YES love that
Love love your videos! You have a beautiful collection! I’m slowly growing mine! What’s your best care tips for plants in pon?
my marble queen was also one of my very first plants ! i’ve had her for almost 5 years now her name is roberta
Fern, I saw you put a pebble tray in the pot you were repotting your anthurium into. What is the reason for that
Good video… I love the plastic for your moss pole. Did you cut them yourself or do you buy the plastic pre-cut?? And if so, where can I find them? Ty!
hi! they are from here: rousseauplant.care/wildfern (if you're interested in trying them you can use code wildfern to save 15%)
Would love to see the jessina pothos on the pole
No the sun looks nice.
Help!! I’m having the hardest time propagating philo micans. How do you do it? Is it better to use sphagnum or perlite instead of water? My water prop for micans is unsuccessful 😩
Maybe switch the anthuriums to self watering?
yes, I'd love to do that eventually. I'm slowly transitioning more and more plants to self-watering and it's awesome.
would you do self watering with pon or stick with soil? 😍
I took a week off (vacation) from work, so many things to do, and I am so stressed out that I cannot sleep at night, I am exhausted😢
I just cut up my Marble Queen, and now you have me actually considering putting some of it on a pole. And I’m not liking poles.....
where do you get that super chunky perlite ?!
I'm not an expert, but is your area not humid enough? I've seen those crispy tips a lot in dry areas
I think it was because the propagations were dehydrated :( who knows though! my humidity is usually between 50-60%
Hey :) I'm sure you've said it before but I was wondering which sphagnum moss it is you use. I'm in Canada too (near toronto) everyone's I see online looks so pretty with pink kinda prettier colours (lol) the one I ordered off Amazon is blah beige and looks a lot less life like If that makes any sence at all lol) also was wondering a good perlite I can only seem to find miracle grow and I find that to be tiny and crappy.
hey! my favourite sphagnum is this one: www.crystalstarnursery.com/collections/botanical-treasure-accessories/products/one-mile-sphagnum-moss
& I haven't found a good perlite yet :( the one I was using is from a local nursery but it's very expensive
You’re right, it does look crazy but will straighten out with the right light.
If you have Ross stores in your area, they sell super cute and cheap cover pots. Otherwise I thrift for mine!
No Ross in Canada 😢
🥰
💚💚💚
I vote for Greta 2.0 😂 😀🇨🇦
Greta Two: Electric Boogaloo!!!!
❤
💚💚
Would love to know the song that’s playing at 31:36 please!
See You by Alex Kehm
I appreciate ALL your efforts Fern.. I hope you feel our love 💕 I have started tomatoes and leeks from seed. I have a raised garden bed to keep the rabbits out and my hubby is making me the “greenhouse” frame to sit on the sides of the garden bed. We will use some heavy plastic to drape over the frame and I am hoping I will have less critters eating bits of my tomatoes before I can pick them up.. I like Glow Greta 💚🐶
that sounds so awesome! lots to keep you (and hubby) busy :) I do feel the love, thank you so so much for always showing me so much support 🥺💚
i can’t believe how much your hair has grown! it seems like just a few months ago you shaved it 🙈
right!! 😮

Glow up Greta or Greta 2.0 has my vote!

Fern I asked before but where do you get your sphagnum moss. Love watching your videos. You’re my favorite ❤
Hi! The one that I’m using right now is from ravenvision-orchid-supplies.myshopify.com but I also love this one from crystal star: www.crystalstarnursery.com/collections/botanical-treasure-accessories/products/one-mile-sphagnum-moss
How about Gigi as a young modern name for Grega!🧝♀️

Ive come to believe that anthurium want semi hydro and i dont have the money for that 😂
