The movie is so wonderful
In 1981 I was in he army in Spain.
Green Berets.
In regimiento Mila, founded in Milan, Italia, in 1535.
We had this... We had that type of uniforms and weapons.
There were no drones, no remote-controlled bombs. The work was done by hand: you had to approach the enemy during the night without being seen and put him out of combat. For the Spanish, that means capturing the enemy or forcing them to surrender. What times....
Actually we have improved. We have more tech in Spanish Army and some jobs can be done safely to keep our soldier lifes.

Fog of war, things go wrong. Gotta give respect that they didn't leave that out to save face. The Z president said it was unflinching account. Friendly fire still happens today, an civilians casualties are just as bad or worse. 90% of drone kills were civilians in Iraq/Afghanistan, but that don't make it to the movies does it.

There is this amazing tactic of war called... appropriating enemy equipment... it's almost like soldiers would use anything theu could get their hands on for tactical advantage.
@@SouthernRex-1994 These Japanese were a long way from any Americans. Any captured weapons would be British/Commonwealth Bren guns or Vickers machine guns after the fall of Singapore and Malaysia.

@@SouthernRex-1994 The British/Commonwealth forces did have Browning guns, but they were usually mounted on tanks and half-tracks provided by the Americans. They weren't usually allocated to heavy machine gun squads in the infantry. The British/Commonwealth did have a high opinion of the Browning though.

fight against japan was far harder than the nazzis....and Z special unit as it was actually called was a real unit who came from the 1st AIF of the trenches, who thus gave birth to clearance divers including team 3, CDos, TAG, and SASR ....Most secretive and shadowy guerilla socom unit in history who did the greatest raid with jaywick....240 plus only few known.some releaesd 2045 most never

It's not just a movie. So show respect. Writing a happy ending is easy compared to the hell of war.
sounds as if you dont know much about how z special unit actually operated..if a man was injured this is what they did if he couldnt be sent back..they also carried cyanide

You know when a "WW11" movie starts out with a 1980 nuclear submarine on the surface and diving after disembarking a team of commandos, it kind of spoils the whole thing. And the weapons were vintage, all right. With 1980 suppressors. Allegedly in 1940something. Awfully over-acted. Sadly, I shut it off after 5:48. Gotta do waaaay better than that boys. Got no upvotes at all from me.👎
That suppresed grease gun was designed in 1942.
That also looks like a British WW2 A Class submarine, someone needs to do their research a bit better before ripping into things.
