Barnone this is the best vid. I'm a service tech and gave me some great ideas on what to put in my tool bag. I hope if it's not to much if you can created another vid on a tool pouch. There are times I don't want to carry a heavy tool bag while walking a couple of blocks to my site. Keep up the great work much appreciated. I'm subscribing that's for sure.
Scott- It's mind blowing the amount of tools you have been able to neatly store in those bags.. Absolutely inspiring and love your expert thoughts on all the tools! Thanks!!!!!!!
I would have said i do a little bit of everything but obviously I was wrong, i dont do much low voltage. LOL . But I have to say this is a GREAT bag tour. imho the best on youtube. Your experience shines through.
Excellent video, thank you very much. I am a disabled DIYer. I use a a Fluke T+ Pro, instead of a non contract voltage tester. It displays voltage (24 volts minimum) but much more reliable than tick testers. Packed full of very useful information. Thank you again.
I'm NOT a tradie and this was fascinating. I'm putting together a tool bag for home and the best value bag I found is the Rugged Xtremes Workmate - a PVC monster - very well made. Now I need to fill it up.
Scott, thanks for taking the time! 👍🏻 Great to look at your setup! If you love the Pica pencil, maybe checkout the Hultafors pencil. Has a shape to it, so it doesn’t roll and fall, has replaced the pics for me…
Makita sells a 3/8 impact socket set that’s pretty good. Around $20 for metric and $20 for standard and they are decently compact. Another great video.
Thhe main reason I don't buy the tool check is that you have to buy 2 just to cover SAE and metric. I have the same set you do so far it has served me well. For the price point $20
Agree with the ratchet screwdrivers… does my head in they are back to front! Wiha have a nice smaller hammer, I was the same, didn’t have space in my veco pro tech bag and used a small asda (same as Walmart), then found the wiha.
Love those European style wire strippers@20:00. I like how you can pull out instead of the strain on the wrist. I cant find any thing like them online . I will continue to try and find them. Thank you for sharing this.
Hey Scott. you should see if there is a multi punch tool for the keystones you use. It will change everything. i almost never use my punch tool anymore. We use a local company's generic brand keystones and they have a multi punch tool for them. Put the keystone in and squeeze, it punches all 8 wires and cuts them off.

Great video and toolset. Suggestion: I use a small butane lighter instead of a glue gun. It takes up a lot less space. I just melt the tip of a glue stick and apply it to an emitter like chapstick. Also, I use black gluesticks!
7:58 Granted, I am a bit of an 'old timer,' or 'boomer' if you prefer - but I remember when these were called tie wraps 8:12 and these were called drills 9:10 . Drill bits were specifically for metal. But, of course, the tool was called a power drill.
Great loadout Scott, would like to try out the Velocity bags, as budget allows of course. A few of those tools I’m gonna have to pick up as well, really cool stuff! Any idea what your main bag weighs fully loaded?
@@scottstoolthoughts3190 that’s about what my MCT weighs give or take. I really like the velocity’s middle storage space for my M12 driver and bit sets. A little pricier than veto but very well thought out. I’ve been trying to pare down what I carry but I’m a tool junkie that’s not getting any younger🤷♂️
That’s the problem, they let plumbers and people behind a desk design tool bags. I really wish a company would listen to electrical people about bag design. Never tried one of these but I’ve tried Klein, Milwaukee, veto, CLC never have I found the perfect electrician bag
You have to go to their website and request a shipping quote for the bag you want. Back when I first started buying their bags, you were able to select the United States as a shipping option. For whatever reason that has changed. Just an FYI, it is a bit spendy for shipping to the states now. It may have to do with global supply chain issues.
Thanks for the tip on this tool. I found one on Amazon. I also do some Low Voltage work and emitters falling off equipment happens a lot. I usually use the Fastcap double sided tape. It's pretty sticky. This may be another good solution.
Ordered straight from their website. If you want one shipped here, You have to email them and request a shipping quote. The way the world is right now, I think it is pretty expensive for shipping costs. www.velocity-progear.com/
I'm trying to find that ty-rap tote but Amazon doesn't carry the 11 inch one and all other sellers online are between $75 and 12k dollars. Does 75 dollars sound about right for a little canvas bag with clip on it?
You have to email them directly for a shipping quote to your location. For whatever reason, they removed the U.S. shipping option from their website. My guess is, that with the global supply chain issues, it became too prohibitively expensive.
I noticed you didn’t mention the Epson label makers. The px700 and px900 are far superior to the Brady level maker. More options for labels, lifetime warranty, so you do t have to worry and it does everything the Brady does and then some. I’ve owned both. The Epson is waaay waaay better. I use the self laminating labels exclusively.
Stay or go...it makes no difference to me.....not a good start to a video....I guess you're doing these videos for yourself.....You are very "snappish" lol
Soldering wires lends itself to be cut and not re-soldered when the equipment is serviced. lmao Installer vs those who have to service the installer's shit.
It's so much more valuable to hear from a guy with years of experience. Thx.

Man I sure do live that m12 surge drill. Best drill I've ever used, don't think I could buy another brand drill again
Thanks for sharing and being informative about the tools 🛠 you use as a beginner I am learning along the way . Your tool bag is awesome 👏🏾

About 50-ish lbs.

No Sir. Although it is small, I found wearing it every day to be cumbersome.
