When Ion Antonescu (the leader of the party, also marshal of the Army) became the Prime Minister (Romania was a parliamentary monarchy), Romania became part of the Axis. But I don't understand why, in this game, Romania becomes part of the Axis if Moldavia is not conquered by the Soviet Union, which is the reason why Romania became part of the Axis in the first place. I played as Romania and I sided with the Soviet Union and I occupied Berlin :) But then, WW3 happened, the Nuclear Bombs weren't yet invented (1943 or so)

So disappointing to see the military operations in Africa take place in Sahara, far from the coastline. That should be logistically impossible. Historically, it was mostly just SAS commandos who traveled into the desolate parts of north Africa. Paradox put impassable provinces in hearts of iron 3, so why don't they have those in hearts of iron 4?
It was a bad game at launch and has improved by leaps and bounds since with patches and DLC, especially with mods. And even if it was a bad game, that shouldn't have any influence on their ability to recall what they did right and what they did wrong, and the impassable provinces was obviously a big improvement.
Game/Real Life Differences IRL Germany made an alliance with the Soviet Union to allow both to split Poland. Here Germany takes it on its own. IRL Hungary and Yugoslavia were invaded, here they join the Axis, presumably to prevent said invasions Italy invading France and seeing much more success invading Africa than in IRL where they were largely incompetent. Here they seem to be essentially France's equal due to the two nations doing battle in both Europe and in their African Colonies. China is seen putting up a much better fight against Japan than IRL
did you download united and ready free dlc for hoi4? sets Poland up with a possible faction of its own in order to stand strong against russia or germany.
How do you make events not pop up everywhere? When I try to do stuff like this im basically sitting there holding enter to try to get rid of research, events, and other popups. So annoying.
Good game but they do need to do something about the harebrained random naval invasions. naval powers need to have better strategies instead of just throwing their armies away.
Really appreciate your videos Drew, but you should put some more effort to learning this game. For example, you said that if Germany takes Moscow, it's over for USSR. But actually the point where a country surrenders is(this is not accurate, but let's say that Soviet Union has 200 Victory Points.) And if their national unity would be at, let's say, 75%. If Germany takes 75 VP's, Soviet Union won't capitulate. Because it's 75% of the 200 VP's, Germany would have to get 150 VP's before the USSR would capitulate. Have a nice day!
