Great series! By the way, your highest general, Louis Ferdinand Prinz von Preussen is a "Prince" as his name already has it. ("Prinz" means "Prince" in German). And believe it or not, he is a real historical character. His full name is Prince Frederick Louis Christian "Ferdinand" of Prussia. He was a prince, solider, composer and a pianist. He indeed fought in the Napoleonic Wars. According to Wiki, he died during the opening engagement of the war, at the Battle of Saalfeld. He was in command of 8,300 men when he advanced against Kingdom of France's marshall, Jean Lannes' V Corps which was consisting of 12,800 men. Prince Louis Ferdinand was killed in combat, after he refused to surrender and charged the French cavalry - a heroic death... This game is really great by including such historical characters. Thank you for bringing it up!
Really cool game man. Been watching all the b-17 series before this, but it's got my undivided attention now.👍 Definitely attack Hannover because it's isolated from France itself and makes the most sense of the current options for being attacked by the Prussians. And honestly after France is vanquished my next objective is either the swedes, Dutch, or Austrians. Best to finesse the Russians and English right now.
I am in NO WAY a professional at this game (I doubt I’d even say I’m Good at it), but I had first attacked Oberland (however it’s spelled) then attacked Hessen, which brought Saxony into the fight, so it didn’t effect my relations with Austria
I was quite disappointed that the great Republic of Britain would be no more, so I’ve been looking forward to seeing you start another campaign. I know it’s a pretty simple game but it’s been one of my favorites to watch. Thanks Taff 🙂
Build up cavalry and light artilley in Berlin, so when you expand your borders you can quicky move those cavalry like a "quick reaction force" to all parts of your empire if your border is threatened by your surrounding neighbors.
Just started one watched a reaction to the patriot and here i am… couldnt do empire so Prussia Napolean. I attacked the Hessen’s with two full armies and a third 8 unit force from Cleves attacking a smaller force at a workshop they intercepted my two armies which we didnt really engage i thought that made them the attacker so blew up their calvary took out their one cannon and just shot on them with cannons til the the time expired, after they sent another small force to the workshop i won that battle they then took their big army to the remnants of the defeated force so i took the city without a fight. It was beautiful
Oh dear Taff, attacking Saxony at this point was a booboo ! Try and get an Alliance with Russia now as it will save you a war on two fronts. Certainly now take Hesse as it will secure that western area of Prussia. Get trade ships out to the Northern trade ports ASAP .. did you know you can automate that process ? With ship selected right click the trade port and the ship will sail there with out you doing any more 😊.. also develop up all your farms in East Prussia as that will increase your income very nicely. 😊
Oh dear I did warn you that Austria would support Saxony against you. The buggers never forget the Seven Years War. I think it is hard coded into the game. Napoleon will be happy.
Oh dear...not to be a wet blanket, but...I really dont see how a clear path exists for prussia to be dominant in this game. Even with good alliances, its going to be an extreme juggling act. Not having a unified germany is a REAL impediment, not to mention potential fronts on THREE not two sides...
I love your videos, I really do. I just cannot stand that it seems you have a reading level of an average third grader. Cheers on the solid videos though.
trade for tech you'd be better off making army's in main settlements and go for comerce in out-lying towns you looked at your ministers left 2 3stars in gov when you have a 4star waiting

So, if the Holy Roman Empire has a version of Grenadier Guards trained in hand-to-hand combat, are they then considered "Holy Hand Grenades"? 😏😂

Juggling alliances and attempting to fight short, sharp military campaigns. I love Prussia!

Playing Prussia on my first campaign so I’ll take all of this advice myself happily. If you have any other tips I’d appreciate it!
