40 Moonstone Island tips in under 10 minutes

Moonstone island is a creature collecting, deck building life sim that's been taking the cozy gaming community by storm. I came late to this party but I can safely say I'm hooked! If you're new to the game or you're thinking about checking it out, I've got some tips for you.

Yes, you can collect the talismans from each "stargate" once per season.
You can use your broom and the balloon in dungeons instead of building bridges.
There is a moonstone indicator, which you will get from Zed. The inside rim of your compass will glow blue if there's a moonstone nearby on the island you're standing on.
Islands have a difficulty meter. Watch your compass -- If the "ticks" on the outside rim are red (or there are a lot of tan ones), the spirits here are higher level than you are.

There should be one moonstone on every island you visit

No use the ballon in dungeons as it allows you yo float from platform to platform

I'm on the switch but I just hold the y button while it's in your tool slot I imagine on PC it's whatever button is the "use" function
