"Movies are back, baby!" You ain't kidding, Christy!! I was at the theater yesterday and it was CROWDED for the first time since forvever ago! Last week was "busy", this weekend was PACKED! LIke, the mall on Black Friday, packed. The girls and boys in pink were out in what impossibly seemed to me like even greater numbers than last weekend, but that's not the whole story. My theater for "Talk To Me" was almost sold out, and there were PLENTY of people there to see "Oppenheimer" and "Haunted Mansion" too. I have to admit, part of me liked having the theater "to myself" since I came back to the theater post-covid, but in reality, this is great news!
It's exciting, right? How was Talk to Me?
@@BreakfastAllDay Talk To Me was very good! Very hard to believe it's the two director's first feature, although they have a bunch of experience and a VERY popular TH-cam channel apparently. Very well done and creepy and current.

As a viewer of The 1987 & 2003 TMNT cartoons on Cartoon Network, i might be critical if this doesn't show the definitive version of TMNT.

I'm not a big fan of the TMNT franchise, and I outgrew it about 20 years ago. However, this new one seems to remind me of Spiderverse with its exciting action, unique drawing and colors, and potentially emotional moments. Despite not expecting it to match the new Spider-Man animated movies' quality, I'm hopeful about animated films going forward due to that franchise. I can't wait for your complete review!

Sounds like I will enjoy it because I'm in the same place. The trailers just weren't doing it for me, but Mutant Mayhem currently sits on a very healthy 96% on RT.
So it seems this is one of those "way better than the trailers have you believe" movies.
Saw it today as well! My theater was packed lots of kids and lots of middle-aged men with TMNT shirts on (the men not the kids😃). Fun times were had all around and everyone clapped at the end. I planned to see it again in 3D.

This wasn't looking good based on the trailer but im glad to hear it surpassed your expectations. Might have to give it a chance! I feel like post Spiderverse 1, not only have studios been influenced by the distinct animation style, but they're also upping the quality of the writing it seems.
Any chance you'll have Bibbs on to discuss (or force Alonso to see and discuss) Talk To Me? I wasn't looking forward to that one based on the trailers but i was surprised at just how effective it was! (Also the directors are TH-camrs so you guys are basically obligated to 😊)

I had zero interest in this until I heard some of the Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross score (which is typically excellent of course, but…this is for a TMNT movie?! Huh?!). And the cast is pretty incredible.
I still haven’t Barbenheimered yet, but this is now fully on my list for after!

@@BreakfastAllDay saw it today and loved it. Some stuff I didn’t really like though, like they changed how the turtles learned to fight. But, loved the story and score. Did enjoy how Splinter’s fighting style was Jackie Chan’s. The kids all loved it too.

Most of the recent Turtles movies were pretty good. I don’t know why they did not continue… the CG animation and live action ones…. But the trailer threw me off…. Splinter is the sensei , not father… that rubbed me wrong…. 😂😂😂. The disrespect….

Went to the Saturday sneak as well at my local theater. Gotta be completely honest, not a fan of the franchise. I was also feeling a bit optimistic going in and by the end, to my dismay, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not a perfect movie, but it’s easily the best one out of all of them.
Right? So fun!
I wasnt sure about TMNT because Barbie disappointed me.
