At this Honda the pre ignition is welled on even more as maximum pre ignition. This is only for old race bike's white contact breakers. So you have always maximum pre ignition. Also on idle rev's. There where also high compression pistons used.
Very well kept. I wonder how close the performance of this machine is to the factory made dohc CR77s that you could buy as a privateer back in the day.
I would have thought considerably less. SOHC/ 2 valve v DOHC/4 valve. Only made a handful of CR77s not sure if any were available to privateers. Possibly the CR72 as they built about 45 I believe. Beautiful bikes both of them.
Back in the day, in the U.S., big bore kits were sold by Wiseco. I installed one, the pistons were made by the same company that made stock production parts. Quality was virtually the same as Honda stock parts.
180 degree crank. Sounds like a 45 degree V2. Nice!
Nice dog. Bike too :)
the factory 8" 2LS brakes front and back on these are awesome. The Laverda factory copied the cb77 72 motor for its jota 750 twin
What a nice bike☺

Get it, the ignition has no centrifugal advance, always advanced even at low rpm.
