Started this series because of how much I loved Alan's Greg....stayed because Rob is just killing it as DM and all the other characters. Just spent 10 minutes feeling horrified/sad for Dirk. Nice work.
Just wow.. I have so so much respect for Rob's epic character range. What a very talented guy! And... I'm definitely not immune to Dirk's sorrowful face when he saw the locket. Poor thing! That heartbreaking expression. 💔 **gives a huge werebear hig and does my best Greg impression** "Hey there, Buddy... you're gonna be ooooOookay!"
Greg makes a point about having the Sanctuary spell at campaign start. Then when his mate is paralyzed and literally being murdered by a low wisdom yeti child, he opts to forgo that ideal solution and instead mimics their behavior and runs away... i love this campaign!
Greg switching to a cleric is just hilarious. He's still forgetting to apply guidance, although he tried and say assume I apply guidance for every check :) And funny, guidance is available to artificers and unlike Baradun who has to level up to change his learned spells (optional rule), Greg can do so as per artificer. As a cleric, Greg can do bless. Although granted Spiritual guardian was a wise choice in terms of saving civilians so ok. But as a artificer, he could have given Bob a +1 weapon. And a +1 armor. He got a Eyes of Charming infusion..... Instead of doing protection or etc for Bob. It took him until the Airship for Greg to realise there's a "protector" mode for Poppy. He has Flash of Genius, which he could have used to help Bob pass his stealth check or save being smashed... Well, except for the Giants fight. That was useless:).
Rob as DM is such a component and character in this series. He tries to follow the rules, but sometimes understands logic must go out the window for the sake of fun. ❤
The whole segment with Bodger, Dirk and the locket is ridiculously funny. Also amazing acting by Rob. And the whole groups reactions to the awkwardness is great.
Honestly at this point it's more like my comfort show, I don't even need to watch it, just have it playing in the background while I'm cleaning and doing choir's around the house😅
I have not laughed so hard in years, this is comedy gold already and only just over 3 hours in "locket" 🤣 As a DnD player I fully appreciate and love this.

That's unfortunately how it can be for a Rogue, it also doesn't help that he kinda keeps making situations bad for himself. But it's content. Still the things he has managed to do have all been beneficial in some way or another.
As a rogue he has the potential to do a lot of damage but he always finds himself in the front lines which isn't a good move for his class, because he just ends up getting knocked down before he can deal any real damage😢 he needs to do more back stabbing and use all his gold to buy some Invisibility potions and some Mirror Image potions, heck! Get some Displacement potions too😅 and some new armour wouldn't hurt
When they walked into Madame Floster's, I most certainly didn't hear, "you are greeted by a human male" as "you agree to buy a human male." I absolutely didn't get very confused trying to remember this unfamiliar, surprisingly dark, story arc.

A little bit of listening could go a really long way. 😆

Especially considering they started in the Dead Frost that required group Con Saves, and Survival Checks every few minutes. Once they got out of the cold, there was much less rolling. Rowan has the best success/failure ratio, and survived the best in the cold (appropriate given Bodger’s heritage). That said, there were some weird anomalies among the rolls. Ben rolled super well for the first two Group Survival Checks (18, and a 19/17 with disadvantage) that nonetheless were failed checks because Rob rolled higher. They rolled considerably worse for the final successful Group Check, but they rolled higher than Rob and that was all they needed to do. Ben’s bad luck continued as his only Nat 20 was for Initiative in a fight during which he was immediately paralyzed, gnawed upon, and brought to the verge of death, because of course. His curse luck resurfaced in the form of abysmal health rolls for regaining all his lost hit points, rolling the bottom half or less on every dice for healing. He rolled 4 d8s for healing and only managed to regain 10 hit points from all the rolls put together. He tied with Alan for the most Nat 1s, but as is becoming increasingly clear, Ben’s bad luck is not just _what_ he rolls, but _when_ he rolls it. When he needs to roll high, that is when he consistently rolls garbage. He rolled 10 or below for 19/35 rolls, which is bad enough. He rolled 11 or above for 15/35 rolls, but 5 of those rolls were still either failures or not used. *That* is the Van Lier Dice Curse. Rowan rolled most for the group again, because advantage does that. He dealt the most damage if we don’t count Ben’s _Sleep_ spell, and if we count the emotional damage he inflicted on Dirk he probably did more than the rest of the party combined. He’s the only party member who didn’t roll any Nat 20s this time around, but he got 5 Nat 19s, and that’s more than the rest of the group put together. He had 35/56 rolls that were 11 or above, and 19/56 rolls that were 10 or below, with 7 not being used because of advantage. He rolled 19 on 3d12s for healing, which is just above average. Rowan rolls like a beast. Now if he’d just pay attention…. Adam didn’t roll nearly as much this time around, partly because he wasn’t spamming _Magic Missile_ in combat nearly as much this session. He had an even division of successes & failures, but rolled 14/30 that were 11 or higher and 13/30 that were 10 or below. His only Nat 1 was on initiative, but considering Ben got a Nat 20 on that same initiative, I’ll let the results of the fight speak for themselves. His only other 1s were on damage dice, although one of those was for his own spell hitting him, so it helped that he rolled low. Alan did also hilariously roll a 1 to heal Baradun, which is worth laughing at. He dealt the least damage in classic Baradun “run away from combat” fashion. He healed 7 hit points on 2d6, which is still above average. He called out one roll only after modifiers, but I’m pretty sure it was between 17 & 19. Alan had a great session. He tied with Ben for most Nat 1s, but the only ones that had any real negative impact were for his knot-tying and healing Baradun, which just drives home the idea that Greg is a shit healer even more. He got 19/34 rolls that were 11 or above and 10/34 that were 10 or below, but 2 were still successes and the 4 Nat 20s he rolled is twice as many as the rest of them put together. I call that a win for Ol’ Greg. He only rolled 9 out of 3d8s for healing, but the only 1 he rolled was for healing someone else, which is still hilarious. Greg, or more specifically Poppy, did a lot of the damage this time around, possibly even surpassing Bodger if he’d actually rolled the 2d8s on an already guaranteed kill.
Pretty late but I looked it up. Wayleggo means “away here! Let go!” When a dog finishes a task for a shepherd. Dunno if anyone else mentioned it (probs). Ilu guys
I still don't get why they didn't just have someone sit on poppy and then have the rope just carry Greg across? Rob specifically said that if Poppy's end is heavier, then it will move Gregs end of the rope, but NOPE Hey Greg! CATCH THIS!!! xD
Admittedly I'd be having a talk with the DM about having me basically unable to do anything in every single encounter because every enemy seems to target me. I'm surprised Ben is keeping such a good mood about it. Also are we sure Bodger isn't just Rowan from Bored? Cause his ego is almost the exact same level of inflated lol.
Not going to lie. I’m hoping that if they release the supercut for this and they still can’t record that they release the movie marathon version of the whole campaign in one video.
Honestly. I was kinda hoping for this supercut. ;) I mean, I would LOVE to see new episode and learn how the swamp/hunting deity thing plays out, but having 5 hours of you guys... That's hard to beat. :P
These later episodes are even better than previous ones, so I can't wait to watch it. Hope you guys will be able to film new content soon, but watching it once again is always fun.
1:23:58 you could easily just weigh down poppy's end by having the others climb on top, then activate it to control "poppy's" end, but the weight difference will retract Greg instead. Rob had said earlier that that's what happens with a weight difference. 3:00:18 regaining 1 hit dice a day? definitely a houserule. RAW is half max rounded down (minimum 1) per long rest

Theif needs to learn how to theif. "Why am I dying right in the beginning" says the thief that never hides at the beginning of combat lol.
So this is the session in which Adam decided to increase his chances of Wild Surge, and foreshadowed the Fireball Incident in the swamp. 😆
It´s so great to see how much fun you guys have!
3:15:33 I can't even... I forgot about this 🤣😂🤣😂
3:18:25 and then this... such beautiful harmony

*Conclusions:*
I’m honestly surprised how little rolling there was this time around.
Thank you for taking the time to create this.
PIN THIS PLEASE!!!
Thanks as always for your diligence 🙏
I was looking for just this!!! 👏🤣👍 You the man!!
Edit: Please pin!
Amazing work once again! I'm so glad I found this.
Rob is crying at the javelin with rope part XD
I play DND 6 days out of the week now because of you guys, weekly reminder :P
The Feared "Back On Track" Dragon. Can appear anytime adventurers get off track.
Pretty late but I looked it up. Wayleggo means “away here! Let go!” When a dog finishes a task for a shepherd. Dunno if anyone else mentioned it (probs). Ilu guys
i didn't know they had all sessions mashed together!? Would've saved me alot of trouble listening to it at work
Holy shit! Greg on the rope is one lucky garlic farmer. I'm so happy he survived that. 😥
I still don't get why they didn't just have someone sit on poppy and then have the rope just carry Greg across?
Rob specifically said that if Poppy's end is heavier, then it will move Gregs end of the rope, but NOPE
Hey Greg! CATCH THIS!!! xD
Rob scoffing at the idea of there being honey in the north then immediatly offering them mead...
Greg's one liner for Poppy vs the cat...
Got a cure for your furball
Nod your head if you understand...too late
Rob is a legend of a DM. All of then are amazing, but hes just on another level
The missed line should have been "now that's fishylicious"
Greg should have said: Hey kitty, time to smell poppies!
completely forgot that it was Bob's brother who sent them to the Dead Frost
When Bob inevitably becomes the BBEG, the one thing the world will having going for it is the fact that he cannot NOT roll shit.
5:24:24 “Well it looks like you know your away around Good Head too” BOOM!
Like my 10th time rewatching..
Omg I can't fucking breathe at the PNG gold and the recording Cha ching sound XD
Greg "I can't wait to hear some of these speeches"
I'm sure he won't regret saying that at all
2nd time around, love the compilation vids. Great content on these and got me into grabbing a DnD starter set
Not going to lie. I’m hoping that if they release the supercut for this and they still can’t record that they release the movie marathon version of the whole campaign in one video.
Lol thar would be epic, but imagine how long that would take to upload and process :P
@@Stettafire a very long time lol. But it would be awesome to have what’s basically a saga to binge watch with some snacks.
Given that we're at level 7 after 18 months... I reckon the whole level 20 campaign would be several days long.
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD I want to say Yes but that’s very obviously impossible to see in one sitting.
Oh well. A man can dream.
@@VivaLaDirtLeagueDnD Do eeet. Give me several days of things to watch while at work! Yes please.
Honestly. I was kinda hoping for this supercut. ;) I mean, I would LOVE to see new episode and learn how the swamp/hunting deity thing plays out, but having 5 hours of you guys... That's hard to beat. :P
We should really get Rob a chair. Poor guy has been standing for FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. R.I.P. Rob’s feet.
Lol never worked in a warehouse or production facility have ya. 5 hours on your feet is rookie numbers.
He's fine. He just needs a standing desk.
Ah yes, adult work life, unheard of
Rob actually likes standing during his DMs.
@@SnowBlitz7same. I’ll play for 8 hours and only sit when we stop to eat. Sitting just feels weird
These later episodes are even better than previous ones, so I can't wait to watch it. Hope you guys will be able to film new content soon, but watching it once again is always fun.
Just finished SC2 yesterday, and professed I couldn't wait for 3. Turns out I didn't have to!
Right?!
What Greg should've said: "Hey Kitty.. here's some Fish Lish.. it's to DIE for."
Wallago is probably "away you go" especially if it's with sheepdogs and herding haha.
the boys making dirty jokes at Dirk the Goliath and Greg just randomly yelping COCKS is everything 😂
The names of the city's and people 😂😂
Goodhead,
RImming
Duhans shaft
Gudr shagr
HILARIOUS 😂
1:23:58 you could easily just weigh down poppy's end by having the others climb on top, then activate it to control "poppy's" end, but the weight difference will retract Greg instead. Rob had said earlier that that's what happens with a weight difference.
3:00:18 regaining 1 hit dice a day? definitely a houserule. RAW is half max rounded down (minimum 1) per long rest
Thank you guys for this content!
Ben's DND recommendation "You just roll saving throws once a turn and nothing happens"
The DM is amazing, GG mate - I’m actually from Australia- last episode was hilarious!
Hope you guys are staying safe and cant wait for new content! You're all legends! I also realized bodger (rowan) appears in Spartacus hahaha
*AAAAH, WE'RE BACK!*
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO!!
Learning good head in Goodhead vy eating Fishlishous is way too underrated. Just found this series, what a nice thing to enjoy. :D
I feel so bad for Dirk :((( My character would have been compassionate and hugged him or smth xD
