Imagine these low-settings graphics, then how well the RX580 would run something like Modern Warfare 2 Remastered with 70+ fps on "Extra" settings and how much better it would look.
What's best about this game using UE5 is that every time you leave an interior or load a save you can clearly see every single bush and tree load in one by one, like you're on a barren planet for 3 seconds. Classic UE5!
9:15 you need to set the render scale to the same as what FSR performance uses because it isn’t really upscaling if the tender scale is still 100% Also, thanks for including my Bob recommendation!
Hi, zWORMz, I've been a subscriber of yours since a year and a half, and wanted to say, since I'm a huge fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R Games & Universe, and am a Content Maker for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The Community Manager said the Devs will be doing a patch (Hotfix) to fix all the issues since the release of the game and are working hard for it. They know very well the state of the game and I'm here to say, that it's not a lie, so I'd at least ask for some patience and waiting, after all its on UE5. Everyone knows how heavy on a PC this type of Engine is*. Thank you lots and I love your videos a lot, so please be patient ;D
You know what really annoyed me, is that I asked about when they are going to release a performance patch and the response was pretty much 'when we get around to it'.... but they were more than happy to take my money when they released a broken game. I am tired of buying games that are not finished
Thank you so much for testing on this card. You are one of the very few who cares to. Many people still run the RX 580 and would expect to be able to play Stalker 2 on it as per specified requirements. Deceptive and misleading practices in gaming industry are not acceptable.
For what it's worth, I play on a 3060 non ti and get 60+ fps high presets with FSR frame generation on. The frame generation greatly increases appearance and stability. Not just fluff the framerate.
That's perfectly playable. I've been gaming like this for years, since 2010 - always a few generations behind, and I love every gaming experience. My threshold is 25fps, with minimal drops to 18fps.
Remember the games we had years back. Check out NFS 2015 for example. The game is 10 years old and it has today's graphics no joke. And it runs at 150 fps on max settings without any DLSS crutches. Devs are just lazy because people will buy it anyway.
This is why i rather stick to console gaming for now. If i wanted to have 30fps i just buy an Xbox or PS for less than i pay for modern GPU and will have similar experience.
So I've been tinkering with settings for my Rx 580 2048sp in the adrenaline app and I found that surprisingly using VSR, Image sharpening 80, Anti-lag and Enhanced Sync seem to clean up the image considerably. As well as optimizing the in-game settings rather than just low defaults. VSR is set from 1080p monitor to 4k resolutionin Windows, then downscale back to 1080p in game (Fullscreen exclusive) Then instead of FSR in game, I use TSR Quality at 65%. FSR looks kinda crummy anyways and causes stutters when used beside VSR. So does Framegen for that matter. End result, a much clearer image with a light blurring during fast movement. Between 28-45 fps (Averaging mid to low 30s in combat - excluding that one boss that drops frames on all GPUs for some reason) I wouldn't say it's a recommended minimum spec, I definitely agree with you there. But with enough fiddling, I think it can be pretty playable with an RX 580 (even the chinese one like mine). Granted I do have about an 8% OC to both GPU clock and memory.
I got RX 5500 XT 4Gb VRAM and gives me 4-5 FPS on lowest on 1080p. 10 FPS on 720p 11-16 FPS on 360p (720p FSR 50%) Frame generation gives fake 29-40 FPS, but those feel bad and choppy (exactly like 11-16, just with muddy feeling), and on 360p i can't see anything and can't fight anything.
sadly this is the future of gaming for the most part. Been planning on building an RTX 4060 pc build...I guess I'll have to abandon my passion for gaming😢
I hate these new games optimization, it's like they're not interested optimizing their games or something. Also the RX 6650 XT would be good for a benchmark on your channel, because many people search that graphic card with actual games updates but there are only videos from 2021-2022. Thanks and also nice content!
Isn't "minimum spec" showing what could theoretically run the game, not what would run it decently well for all players? As far as I can tell, the problem here is not that the game fails to start or crashes immediately, but that it runs slow. Which is expected for min spec hardware.
They also say it gets 30 fps at 1080p with FSR, it doesn't. I'm testing the GT 1030 now, it doesn't crash, should that be the min requirement? I think min requirements should aim for playability, and it isn't playable with 20ish fps
Hey! If you see this comment, please go and try enabling AMD Turbo Boost if your motherboard supports it. I've seen it boosting some FPS on AMD CPUS with 3D cache.
They made XSS version dynamic 900P TSR to 1080P, medium-high graphic settings almost stable 30fps, which is already a miracle for their cirumstances. You just cannot demand more for them to utilize these low end GPU to play 1080p low settings above 40--50FPS like that Chinese BMW dev coz BMW devs want to let more Chinese low end PC players play their most wish first 3A game. But BMW devs use most of their energy to utilize those low end hardwares, and they just don't have any energy and resources to make XSS work!
I think people keep forgetting that you can't really get away with such high quality environments, without spending huge amounts of computing power. Sure, there are a lot of studios that completely ignore perf optimization but you can't expect to run everything on an 8 years old "low budget" GPU. There's a limit where the fault goes from the developers to the user and it can be hard sometimes to mark it if you don't really understand what it takes to optimize a game/application.
Playin with an i510400f+1660 super, 32 gb ram. With a configuration medium fsr q/fg/nvidea latency redux.I've had changed the configurationes in "engine.ini", got rid of the "mouse smothness", and optimzed mod from nexus mods. Getting 50 - 60 fps, 40fps in towns. Very playable.
Seems to be some performance issues that hit after having the game run for a while (maybe after half hour, maybe depending on what you are doing in the game). 3060Ti here, and game will drop to 4fps unless I put settings on low!!
do these devs not game themselves? why do games always have things like mouse acceleration on by default, and often only able to be turned off via config files. with no option in game. like, WTF.
If I recall correctly FSR3 already has some level of anti lag on in it, so when you turn the driver level one on too in some games it gets super weird frame times. I've seen it happen in stuff like Avatar myself. I think it might have been what was missing in the really broken implementions like forespoken and immortals of aveum, but I'm not sure.
Try resolution scaling with TSR. From my testing, TSR quality setting sets algorithm quality but does not touch render scale (lower - more performant but more shimmering). I've settled with 80% quality TSR as it looks better then FSR for me for the most part. This is somewhat counterintuitive for one algorithm to have basically 2 sliders while others only have one toggle.
when you enabled anti lag you didn't restart the game. it tells you this in the Radeon software that changes wont take effect until the game is relaunched. either way i have an Rx 580 and i would consider this playable if your on a budget. my main gpu though is RX 6900 XT 16GB
The minimum requirements are perhaps _"more true"_ *if* the game _(on Win10, over Win11)_ is run in a resolution like the original Stalker game and _(as per Shadow Of Chernobyl, Clear Sky)_ Expansion-Pack, which would mean 1024 x 786, as in 4-3 aspect ratio FTW, and without input-lag. With a patch, or settings research or scripting-mod, that elusive 24FPS _(or so)_ minimum-to-be-considered-playable outcome is more likely in traditional mode of 720p being instead 1024x768 pixels screen resolution. Think about it and you know it makes sense. Even the inventory management is still like something from Infinity-Engine, _(Fallout1-2-tactics, Baldurs-Gate1-2, IceWind-Dale, Planescape-Torment and so on)_ because some of the ways stood the test of time and still work. SLI-Crossfire would not go amiss in such mods. My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. An RX 580 would likely run Metro Exodus pretty well. We could compare it to Far cry 6 as it is open world too. Why does a game have to FORCE lumen and all kinds of UE5 stuff which makes the game look 5% better but makes performance 200% worse. Lord of the fallen also had many many performance issues and needed like 10+month performance patches so it is okay..... There are ppl with RTX 4090 playing on 1440p with DLSS....... Likely there are going to be a bunch of mods that are gonna disable most of the Unoptimised Engine 5 features so you can get playable performance. 720p and using any scaling and 30fps is not acceptable and the game looks worse than Stalker 1 maxed..... 60fps with FG is likely 20fps input lagwise so you can not aim for headshots.....unplayable. Fun fact: Stalker Clear Sky had very bad optimization from 2008 IF you used Direct X10 or 10.1 features which was very powerful back then. And sun ray settings likely more than halved the fps. I still use low-ray settings with a GTX 1660 for a 2008 game....... That game is still unoptimized with very varied fps. @@juliogeraldi690 I thought maybe it could be my GPU just capping off, so that kind of makes sense. It's still kind of unacceptable when I should be above the minimum spec range, though. I'm kind of worried for when I upgrade, because at this point I'm not even sure if that will be enough.
Change texture quality back and forth, vram moment
You are the only youtuber among rest of these clowns that tell ppl not to buy this game before they make any proper patch for the title, my comments at other channels are getting removed when theres just a bit of hate over the game :D nice videos bro

I hate to say it, but extremely demanding games like this make PC gaming look bad. There's way more to the platform than just the high-end stuff (don't even try this on the Steam Deck) which these titles seem to solely target. It wasn't okay back in the Crysis days, it isn't okay now
agreed. it used to be that you can run basically any game on any system by adjusting settings. i cant even see a difference between low and high anymore. they need to cull more objects etc at the very least for the low settings.
Crysis actually looked good on those crazy settings back then though. Like a whole new game. This shit stinks in general.
Back then you could still play the game on the low settings. Unless, game was so fckd that nothing would help it. Today? Majority of new games are unoptimized as hell.
Nah, as a 3900XT + RX7900 XT user on Epic settings it's still the same 30-80 fps
I don't know if you already noticed but you can disable the Nanite through the config file. Try it. Just put a line inside that and save and you are good to go for low end cards.
What about vega 56 next?
its not so much faster. 580 is a gtx1060 and vega is a gtx1070ti maybe.
just downloading it at my vega 56 + ryzen 3600 -> I hope for 30 fps. I guess is time to sell it. It held AAA gaming for long enough!
Amd Radeon vii here : 48 fps in low most of the time , 80 average with fsr quality and FG on . What a shit show
@@SolidChrisGR probably because of lack of support for the latest directx, time to upgrade my vega 56
There is no way this is the realistic needed settings for this game. Even if you lower the res all the way down and pull back all the settings you still GET THE DIPS AND STUTTERS!!!! = Broken game. As gamers we need to launch a petition to stop games from being developed on uncooked, crack pot engines. or just vote with your wallet and not buy stuff like this until its fixed. I can take some glitches, and lord knows these guys had a rough run of things just developing the game but lord God almighty can we get a fucking game this decade that runs without MASSIVE stutters at launch.
Hogwarts = stuttered at launch.
Last of us Remake = Stuttered at launch.
Silent Hill 2 Remake = Stuttered at launch and still stuttering as we speak.
Calypso protocol = Stuttered at launch.
Dead Space Remake = Stuttered at launch.
Stalker 2 = unplayable mess.
The only game that I was excited for that ran okay day 1 was Warhammer 40,000 - Space Marine 2
What are these devs doing? Relying on frame gen, DLSS and FSR to play the game? Should have just had the entire game designed by AI!
There is a mod that removes lumen and nanite effects.
The engine forces software based raytracing. It isn't broken if it is an intended feature.
Stop trying to play high end games on junk hardware then....
There will always be defenders for broken games by saying "well at least it's fun". I mean if it stutters and unplayable, there is no fun in it.

Honestly, this game doesn't even look THAT good. It feels like a 2018 game, but it doesn't perform like one. The end of the ps4's era made developer lazy, because they don't need to optimize their game for low end hardware now obviously.

Rip no , the one game , stalker ALL bugs and drops fps , otimizarion a long time
nah the gpu is still alright this game just ain't it
the video card can't die just of 1 game pffff

false advertisement
ehem.... cough cough

What's best about this game using UE5 is that every time you leave an interior or load a save you can clearly see every single bush and tree load in one by one, like you're on a barren planet for 3 seconds.
Classic UE5!
9:15 you need to set the render scale to the same as what FSR performance uses because it isn’t really upscaling if the tender scale is still 100%

Yea sometimes it bugs, and scaling doesn't change, noticed with TSR

Hi, zWORMz, I've been a subscriber of yours since a year and a half, and wanted to say, since I'm a huge fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R Games & Universe, and am a Content Maker for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
The Community Manager said the Devs will be doing a patch (Hotfix) to fix all the issues since the release of the game and are working hard for it. They know very well the state of the game and I'm here to say, that it's not a lie, so I'd at least ask for some patience and waiting, after all its on UE5.

i'm curious about Ryzen 5 5600 with RTX 3060 TI on 16 Gb RAM. It's a very popular setup
I got that exact setup it works rlly well
nowadays gaming there's no such fun like in childhood such high end specs which is out of budget for middle class people
Thank you so much for testing on this card. You are one of the very few who cares to. Many people still run the RX 580 and would expect to be able to play Stalker 2 on it as per specified requirements. Deceptive and misleading practices in gaming industry are not acceptable.
Bro is playing Stalker 2 on every GPU known to mankind except 3060ti, the one I currently have and the reason I started watching this channel.
Good luck, hope you score.
He played it with a 4060 right? That should give you a good indication of what to expect.
For what it's worth, I play on a 3060 non ti and get 60+ fps high presets with FSR frame generation on. The frame generation greatly increases appearance and stability. Not just fluff the framerate.
You can get at least 1080p60 Medium, so there is no worries, buy the game if you want.
He already tested it
14:27 ok this is the experience devs saw and said.... yeah, this is the min specs for 30 fps... looks surreal, feels surreal
minimu means 22 fps in 2024 lmao?did they test?
That's perfectly playable.
I've been gaming like this for years, since 2010 - always a few generations behind, and I love every gaming experience.
My threshold is 25fps, with minimal drops to 18fps.
I'd rather stick with Anomaly then suffer through this mess. Probably worth playing after another year or 2.
Just play Anomaly, Gamma and maybe og Stalkers with mods
best way I've seen somebody demonstrate input lag
Imagine comparing it with the min CPU, probably will be CPU limited at 20 fps in towns.
Krizzp there's a config file to disable mouse smoothing it make huge difference with gameplay experience, it's a much better overall.
Nowadays the system requirements of a game is a big fucking joke.
Remember the games we had years back. Check out NFS 2015 for example. The game is 10 years old and it has today's graphics no joke. And it runs at 150 fps on max settings without any DLSS crutches. Devs are just lazy because people will buy it anyway.
@@B.M.Skyforest Sad but true.
@@B.M.Skyforest the overely on dlss ruin the optimization of games
This is why i rather stick to console gaming for now. If i wanted to have 30fps i just buy an Xbox or PS for less than i pay for modern GPU and will have similar experience.
epic and unreal guidelines are
So I've been tinkering with settings for my Rx 580 2048sp in the adrenaline app and I found that surprisingly using VSR, Image sharpening 80, Anti-lag and Enhanced Sync seem to clean up the image considerably. As well as optimizing the in-game settings rather than just low defaults.
VSR is set from 1080p monitor to 4k resolutionin Windows, then downscale back to 1080p in game (Fullscreen exclusive)
Then instead of FSR in game, I use TSR Quality at 65%. FSR looks kinda crummy anyways and causes stutters when used beside VSR. So does Framegen for that matter.
End result, a much clearer image with a light blurring during fast movement. Between 28-45 fps (Averaging mid to low 30s in combat - excluding that one boss that drops frames on all GPUs for some reason)
I wouldn't say it's a recommended minimum spec, I definitely agree with you there. But with enough fiddling, I think it can be pretty playable with an RX 580 (even the chinese one like mine).
Granted I do have about an 8% OC to both GPU clock and memory.
Bring back GTX 1660 Super testing.
I got RX 5500 XT 4Gb VRAM and gives me 4-5 FPS on lowest on 1080p.
10 FPS on 720p
11-16 FPS on 360p (720p FSR 50%)
Frame generation gives fake 29-40 FPS, but those feel bad and choppy (exactly like 11-16, just with muddy feeling), and on 360p i can't see anything and can't fight anything.

I was happy when I saw that the minimum is RX580, because I upgraded from RX580 to 6600XT, so I thought I will be fine at 1080p... oh well...
Its not even at 720p playable❤
Honestly, the game runs better than I expected it to, it's just that cursed memory leak every so often that really gets me.
I think min requirements should aim for playability, and it isn't playable with 20ish fps
cyberpunk also has the rx580 as Minimum spec but i can still Run the Game with 80-90 FPS on medium and some upscaling in the town
There are so many performance mods on nexus mods, you can run this game now on gtx 1050 ti without any issues
Good vid! It may not be the best experience, but if an RX 580 is all I had, it's good enough. 👍
8:13 and we are back to fallout 3 graphics but with 20 fps performance 😎👌
So you're saying it can't run on my nintendo DS?
at 720p looks like clear sky
RX590 may get 30 FPS in 1080P Low settings.
Genius way to show the input lag haha 10:40, actually insane how bad it is ROFL
do these devs not game themselves? why do games always have things like mouse acceleration on by default, and often only able to be turned off via config files. with no option in game. like, WTF.
Why do you use FSR when TSR is the better Upscaler?
If I recall correctly FSR3 already has some level of anti lag on in it, so when you turn the driver level one on too in some games it gets super weird frame times. I've seen it happen in stuff like Avatar myself.
I think it might have been what was missing in the really broken implementions like forespoken and immortals of aveum, but I'm not sure.
You did not test TSR with lower 3D resolution.
zWORMz: Goodbye Bob! 😃*shot* 😃 Goodbye STALKER 2!!1
Whens the RTX 4070 ti benchmark? Keep up the good work
Not sure yet!
Thanks 😃
Actually its really authentic performance to Stalker SoC as i remember in 2007))
The minimum requirements are perhaps _"more true"_ *if* the game _(on Win10, over Win11)_ is run in a resolution like the original Stalker game and _(as per Shadow Of Chernobyl, Clear Sky)_ Expansion-Pack, which would mean 1024 x 786, as in 4-3 aspect ratio FTW, and without input-lag.
Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.

Maybe now another graphics card from the minimum requirements for this game: the Intel Arc A750?
It's a common theme for games to be released unoptimized and broken. I'll wait for a sale when the game is fixed.
Is it bcz the auto enabled Lumen !?
Yes
But old Stalkers allowed you to even go into very potato settings and use very old direct X renderers.
