I still remember listening to this right after it was posted. Sam made acoustics versions for songs in his Make it up album, but I remember liking this one the most because of the harmony between Casey and Sam, and I listened to this so much I even memorised all the lyrics XD

I imagine that its about a boy who knows this girl very much who have just gone thru a tramatic experience (raped and parents killed by a masked intruder in the process) and hence a big change of personality. The boy must love or know this girl very well and is trying to help her to get over the trauma over this song
