Using Improvised Experimentation gets easier when you get used to the right/left mouse part of the controls, and realize that you default to picking up the object up by whatever point your reticule is over.
Right/left mouse controls? Can you elaborate? I've discovered holding left mouse, I can rotate the object using the block rotate keys. What does right do?
@@TheBabsPlayGames right clicking switches between holding the object by your grab point, and it’s center of mass. Just be careful not to click both left & right at the same time. That’s *throw*, and you can really wing stuff like that.
Correct, I went with a landing gear knowing that I would be having many mag plates on the buggy in the future. With only one landing gear it won't get confused with anything else.
Yup, but I didn't know the goodies it could have at the time. Was too cautious to go up it. I think I dropped in 3 times and then drove around like a maniac to get the fine tuning of MES tested. When I was satisfied with how it was working I removed the survival kit from the last one (the others all got rolled and boom!) and then dropped in wherever it put me.
Yes and no lol. I like the slower progression and the fun of trying to find what i need versus just digging rock for 20 minutes and then making a bunch of stuff. Splitsies been super lucky with his series. He's got storage galore, in storage poor at the moment. Dax may be back from time to time but he's started a new job and his schedule doesn't align very well with the recording side. He may be in some videos from time to time.
@@TheBabsPlayGames The slower progression (and the refinement) is why I like Undead Legacy Mod in 7d2d makes you work for your stuff, but it's also very satisfying once you get enough together and have the ability to upgrade your stuff as much as you want (or nearly as much). Currently building my own 3 story house in UL, all from self made blocks. Asia Mod for 7d2d also goes in that direction.. much slower progression, but it's not as refined as Undead Legacy and very few people actually played it so far, but still very nice and unique overhaul mod. In SE I normally keep me busy by building larger structures and ships, I still use "build and repair" mod for the mundane part of welding everything together, but limit myself with the numbers of these blocks that I build. Sounds a bit like cheating when you first watch it work, but building a ship with thousands of blocks will take several days to weld even with Build and Repair (unless you have 100 at a time active). I tried to build a working Carrier, none of these I carry 5x3 small grid ship carries, no carrier large enough to house you large grid mining vessel, or larger attack fighters, with an landing pad and everything, inspired by WingCommander Series carriers. Or building an entire base inside an asteroid things like that. And with mods like Reavers, etc. it doesn't get boring. Finally got my dedicated server for SE running again and wonder how it will perform over time, as it's not running on the fastest hardware, but still hardware that was actually bought for exactly this purpose some time ago :D Hope we don't get to loose Dax completely or he uploads some of his solo games as well, which are nice too. Also wish you more luck in the next episodes, maybe finally getting some of these medium cargos. Else, keep in mind, connectors have quite a bit of storage they can hold as well, even if they look ugly if you just chain them together ;)
Is there a specific way to chain connectors or just conveyer them by the side ports? Think they have 1k of storage so that would be a huge upgrade from where in currently at. I'll ping dax and see if he plans on doing any solo series or not. Haven't played 7d2d in quite awhile but i do really like the slower progression overhauls. Vanilla you get end game stuff by like day 10 or even sooner. No real sense of achievement there.
@@TheBabsPlayGames Conveyer ports work fine, but since they only have small conveyer ports on the side, only small materials could be transferred. But of cause, connectors "connect" if you want most efficiency with flow of materials of all sizes, it's large conveyer to large converyer and connector locked to connector. Might need a bit of contraption to line up two ports and have them "locked" magnetically but it also allows for easier removal later.

Not a problem. I did make several tweaks to MES config to try and get the spawn rate of POIs closer to what I wanted to see. I have drive distance down to 500 meters and spawn range set to 500 meters out to 3km (I think). Still fairly sparce on poi generation, so I've been manually running the /MES.SPI command from time to time. Seems to be really setup for mp server scenarios where many people are driving around generating POIs. SP out barely generates anything in auto mode.
Additionally, you have to start a custom game with the mods loaded, then pick a default spawn location. I did a space suit. From there, using dev mode, you'll need to spawn in sertus (sp?). Then you'll be able to pick it as a spawn point.
Yup, time for a name change with dax stepping back and miracle and possibly her next younger sister stepping in. I was upside down? Don't remember that happening, so it couldn't have been too catastrophic.

best advice would be rig up a bunch of connecters together to make a bunch of storage since connecters has have storage.
Another viewer commented that as well. I've currently got 4 connectors in line
Looks fun The Barbera. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! That is going to be a big help and warning noted.
You didn't check the crane I think it has a medium cargo container.
You don't need a landing gear under your piston, just a mag plate.

Your cockpit has storage space.
Id completely forgotten that. I'll have to check how much it holds.
i would of used the truck that on the location as my main use just transfer everything over to that truck
Landed at a crane! hot many attempts. ive been flying in game and still no luck.

I bet progress will be very slow and hard just like Splitsie prefers it.
