16:21 You took the 8 soldiers for the RWB but not the 3 soldiers for the dice faces. So you actually had a little bit more buffer on your last couple turns. Great playthrough - I believe that was the only error I noticed, and it wasn't even in your favor!
Good playthrough. And congrats on a close victory! 17:20 FYI the limiting specialists have a stars with a black background. So at most one gray and one colored/country specialist with black background stars are allowed. At least, that's how I try to remember it.
Plus the unique specialist has gold stars rather than the green stars of the reserve specialist so you can distinguish the black background cards as well at a glance (unless you have colourblindness I suppose).
Very good playthrough video: thank you! :-) I´ve tried six times this scenario ("Omaha Beach"), and got six failures. I guess I´m very unlucky with dice... :-(
This game is not easy! I recommend using the modules "Way to hell", "Badges" and "Legendary Units". They make the solo version of this game much better (and not so difficult)
The rules don’t mention keeping extra dice in your first roll. But I just verified it on BGG and the designer said you can keep up to 6 dice after your first roll. Thanks for the vids! Otherwise I would have been playing it wrong all the time.
Why should he? He won the game. He battles (lose soldiers) first and then if he survives he roll dice, but since this is the last location (the bunker) it is victory and over.
As I understand, in Phase 5 (move or advance) you enter the bunker, then Phase 6 is Combat (while in the bunker, since he advanced). Surviving that last combat phase on the bunker means you win the game.
@@blackjack2150 That's what I thought. He didn't really win the scenario, since stopped at phase 5 and did not do phase 6 (that he could not survive). At least that's my understanding.
@@AlfonsoFigueroa Incorrect. You only battle once in the bunker, after you move in. You do NOT roll any dice. After combat, if you are still alive, you win the scenario. If you lose your last soldier, you loose.
You should have ordered the foldable dice tray. It’s awesome! Your rolling on hard surface sounds terrible on video. Please use a softer surface! Try listening to your video on earphones:-(
I already have a dice tray but it takes up to much space ok the table! I'll see if I can do something with some cloth and fix that sound, thanks for letting me know 😇

Sharp eye Chris! Thanks for the comment and have a wonderful Christmas
I was thinking the same thing, playing this game requires you to carefully go through all the dice, one of the best play through ever real clean
Thanks for the play through. I’m 0/2 against Omaha Beach

great video!!!
In your last phase 1 on your first roll you kept 3 dice. Can you do that? I thought you must only lock 2
@@martijnblokzijl1350 do you have a time stamp for when that happens?

@@martijnblokzijl1350 Ah now I understand what you mean. Yes you can indeed keep up to 6 dies from your first roll! Cheers!
If you had enough points at the end for the walk-in talkie, when would you have added those soldiers? Immediately or next turn?
First of all sorry for the late reply.
If I remember correctly, you can use items at any time.
CORP. and SHARPSHOOTER (2 Stars) are WAY over powered for that price! Makes the game too easy , at times.
First of all sorry for the late reply.
I love overpowered units :P
why didn't you roll the 6 coloured dice when you went into the bunker?
Please give me a time stamp as reference and I'll try to answer 😊

The first edition boards look better than this second edition
I never played the first edition but from looking at pictures I can agree
