I just found one of the other cameras you showed and find this very interesting and instructive! Now i need to see how to use the other camera shown here.
THANK YOU! I have gone through all the steps and had drawn a blank at reading where my image numbers were, I thought I'd messed up, phew, all is well! I'm really grateful you posted this :)
You can gently remove the nails by prying them straight up with a thin, flat wedge like a knife. Once you're done cleaning/replacing the internal mechanisms you carefully re-insert the nails just how you took them out. Because of the leatherette finish it's very unlikely that this will be scuff-free, but you can get it almost perfect. I had to fix the shutter on mine and there's no obvious sign that it was ever opened up.
Hi, do you have to thin down the film spool ends before using it? I have seen some videos where they use sandpaper to do this. Also, I note that you have some cool labels with a QR code on them on the bottom of the camera, what information do you have on the labels?
I'm getting some bulging when rolling up film into the bottom spool, causing some film to expose. Am I doing something wrong? There's some slack under the final roll that sticks out slightly above the spool.
@@forwardcameras Thanks for the reply, the camera is embossed with a big USE 120 FILM so I know it's not a fitting issue, but I think that the bottom spool isn't as tight as it should be somehow. I think it's a technique issue, I got a few perfect and a few that were exposed.
"They were made from kate 19th century all the way, probably until the late 1930s" shoddy research, you actually made from 1900 to 1986, there, fixed it for you.
Thank you! Now I can actually use my camera from my family!

Just found a ansco box camera. Do you think that using 400 film is too fast for this camera?
Thanks again for sharing.
No, to be sure test it out and adjust from there. You can’t go wrong, I shoot tmax400 w it
I just bought one today at an estate sale for $25.00 so this is my first time doing any of this. Thank you for your helpful info. :)
Glad to help they rock! Please subscribe.
Love these old camera. I own like 10 of them. Including 616 and 620.
Thanks :-) please subscribe
Great video. I always use the film spool from the 120 film I used previously as the next take up spool. Are both spools the same size?
The metal one was a 620 spool, and 120 is more thicker than 620 and just a little taller
Thank you for this. I was just gifted a Brownie No. 2 dated 1929. The lens looks strange. Is there somewhere that I can send you a picture of it?
I recently picked up a nice Kodak Brownie #2 Model F on ebay
Looks like you chopped off the 120 spool and to fit a 620 camera. A pretty common practice, right?
Do you repair old cameras?
Have a Kodak Brownie movie camera ❤️🥰😎😷 Scott Fox
Could I ask how do you remove the film from the bottom spool without exposing the film? Thank you.
You need to fully roll it back together. The. You can open camera and the tape the spool paper down so it doesn’t get exposed. Please subscribe!
Any way to clean the view finder, inside and out, without damaging the camera by tearing the cardboard?
Not that I know of :(

Ive got a folding camera with 2 holes. .wich one should i use for scrolling to the next photo ?
It depends on if you are shooting landscape or portrait. Just use the one facing up
Will this work for a kodak brownie target six-16??
Same idea. Please subscrive
Thank you

So 620 cameras you needed to use the sandpaper on the spool but 120 cameras you don’t have to. The QR code’s we’re for my inventory.

Sorry I am not sure. Make sure you use 620 if need be or cut down the spool to fit right if that’s the case

Do you have to take the pictures all at once?
Also just how clean should the lens be? I bought one and it is a bit dusty but I won't clean it if it lends to the effect haha
Haze will make it a bit fuzzy lol that’s up to your taste after all it’s an old old camera
Not sure what you mean all at once
@@forwardcameras like take a picture now, another tomorrow, maybe next week or month instead of all in the same day
Poor audio.
