Hi Sal. As a fellow American who was in the same boat, I am happy you will finally get to see Kylie perform live. I have some possible good news about Kylie performing Golden tracks. Usually Kylie does not revisit the Golden era but she has lately been performing Dancing. Kylie included the song in her live set at Weho Pride. I was shocked because Kylie seems to shy away from this era due to the lack of commercial success. Also, thank you for posting your album reviews. I like your approach to reviewing albums by piecing together the story behind albums. Keep on doing the great work. ✨
Kylie learned how to record and produce her own vocals. She started with Disco when she had to record at home (Infinite Disco) out of necessity due to lockdown. She has continued with every album since. Being able to record multiple vocal takes is a luxury she wasn't given while working with Stock Aitken Waterman.

I'm a new subscriber! I'm excited for you to able see Kylie live in 2025. As I predicted, there is a digital-only EXPANDED version of Tension 2 with "extended mixes" ( from 3 to 4 1/2 mins) of all the songs released today, and a new Yellow Vinyl disc...all Limited!!!!
@SalRocha Which is digital, right? It's so funny to me that songs that are about 4 minutes long are considered extended these days. In the 70s, 80s, and 90s, extended mixes were anywhere from 6:00 to 10 minutes long!! The album cuts these days are getting to be so short, like 2 minutes and 30 seconds because no one has an attention span to listen to a song longer than that! I've even heard you make that comment
I will also be at the Allstate Arena. Sorry nobody told you earlier: but the Oct 9 presale date was also accessible to a limited number of fans that signed up for access through her website. So you did not need to get a card, but did demonstrate true diehard dedication
"Lights, camera Action" weirdly reminds me "Work Bitch" (and that is a good thing). Also, Vinyl track lists used to be thought considering which tracks manage best(or is sacrificed for) the inner groove distorsion and were put at ends of sides.
The way I read Someone For Me is that she's singing it to her female friend whose partner she secretly has the hots for but assures her that she "wont make a move" on him.
rhythmically Lights Camera Action resembles tension but not at all melodically so its really different and it's a BANGER. see the video and you may love it sooner as the video is stunning. taboo is awesome is a Abba vibe way, kiss kiss bang bang is ultra sultry sexy Kylie, and Good As Gone might be the Peak of Tension 2.
I hate that they squeezed in all the collabs, but it's funny that due to the licensing problems (I guess) out of all features only My Oh My is available on some platforms, so it's closing the album and sounds like a nice addition to the first excellent 9 tracks.
btw i think this album is much more tiktok friendly than Tension - there are so many cool moments in the production (like pauses in good as gone), melodies are easier and catchier and lyrics are more real and could start a trend. Beats are also more modern, there's no 80s adult pop nostalgia here, so they are also good for dance tiktoks Hope something goes viral, at least a little bit :)

But I do love tension 2 a lot I think she did the tiktok sound right and didnt make it boring

Oh, and if you are not familiar with him you should definitely google Orville Peck. You're welcome. 😉
I don't understand the issue with theme on this particular album. These collabs arent even technically Kylie's songs with the exception of 1. They're songs from other artists that simply feature Kylie. That kind of means she had zero say in the thematic direction of those particular songs. One could argue that she should have left these songs off entirely, but I disagree. The deluxe follow-up versions of her albums almost always "notoriously" feature collaborations and/or remixes. Tension 2 in this case is obviously taking the place of a deluxe version of tension 1 - hence the dramatically shorter length, and why she included the collabs. It's bonus content. I like that theres a tension medium that includes all of her tension era collabs in one singular medium for consumers to buy and listen too (even if they are all worse than her individual track list).
for me tension II is hands down much better than tension! I agree with you the last 4 tracks seemed to be tacked on randomly however the much darker sounding EDM theme is what we all though tension I would have sounded like! tension I although had better lead singles, the rest of the album was a bit of dud not much replay value (too much in the major key and not enough dance bangers). These 9 tracks however I could listen to on replay!
Lyrically and production wise I think this album is better. But, with it only being truly 9 songs. This feels more like an EP than an album. So I find Tension more satisfying as an album.
Love the first 5 songs, then the album falls apart for me. I think My Oh My was expected to be a bigger hit, so when it flopped the management must have had a rethink of the ordering. Good As Gone is such a vibe!!! The video for Lights Camera Action really brings it to life! Of the 4 collabs, Edge Of A Saturday is my fave. Raye has a co write on this and was meant to feature on it but Rayes label didn't want it which is a shame. Great reaction!!! ❤

Thanks for your insight!
for me tension II is hands down much better than tension!
Hello sounds like she is stalking her ex and he is frankly terrified of her. 😂
With that robotic effect on her voice, I’d be too!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
golden and disco better than tension... hmm okay..
I said what I said.
Sal your eyebrows have got thicker! They don’t look real. 😅
Wait, do you mean my eyebrows? Either way I don’t know if that’s good or bad 😂
@@SalRocha PLEASE REACT TO SHAKIRA'S LASTEST ALBUM "LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN" + SOLTERA (SINGLE)!!! PLEASE
@@SalRocha that’s good. They look amazing like a life of their own.
According to her Label and Kylie the LEAD single is Lights camera Action so i go by what they say not what we think.
Kiss Bang Bang is Brillant far from Meh
Taboo is weak
I disagree
Tragedia
L'unica tragedia dell'album è che non era più lungo e le ultime 4 canzoni non avrebbero dovuto essere incluse.
Tension II is disappointing. It sounds like leftovers from Tension + collabs with other artists.
While I'm not disappointed per say... I totally understand how you feel.
Tension l has Padam and Tension, but Tension ll is better than Tension l.
