It does work. The instructions never say pull "5 times only", if the sharpening effect is not enough, you can resharpen it as many times as is required. I have used this gadget and am very much satisfied, though I did not buy the same product from Amazon.

Very useful video. I bought similar local knife sharpener in one exhibition for 100/- Rs and was researching whether I should buy a better one online.The sharpner I have works just as shown in the video, it sharpens only 20 percent so a a bit better than your earlier sharpness. It cannot beat a new knife's sharpness.
