@@democaf7192you can't patch this because the only way they can do it is if they make it so medium or heavy blitz don't combo into lvl 2. the only reason why this works is cause the first hit of those moves pull in to make the other hits reliably combo so removing that would make the blitzes drop sometimes even if you hit it. idk if you understand what i mean but yea if they nerf this it wont be in the conventional way and will probably open up new combo routes

Now every time I hear Ed going yellow and yelling GRRRRRRRRRRRRR while doing EX Blitz I get glued to the screen expecting a sick lvl2 combo to come out
The plot twist is that 9.9/10 the sick combo doesn't come out lol
The inevitable patch that comes out and removes meter gain from Ed's level 2 (like they did for Rashid) is gonna rip out poor Brian's heart.
In my opinion, they should make him more slowly gain super meter while super 2. No need to nerf it like Rashid because Ed's super 2 is not strong like Rashid.
I see them reduceing the meter gain for his LvL 2 like Chun Li
Thus, ruining everything fun about the game. Ed isn't strong, I say keep the meter build.

It's like an anime training montage or some shit, it's so cool!! I always enjoy these videos of yours when the lab results get published, just like when you were learning Oro combos.

It's definitely exhausting to play him for extended sessions. Not even 10 matches in and my mental performance just tanks with him
@@rynzero_ it sucks because he’s one of the most fun characters in the game but people can really turn their brains off against him. There’s a few things I think capcom can adjust to make him a lot better though..
How so? Besides these highly optimized level 2 combos I don’t feel like hes to overly complicated.
@@ScuffKinn weak fireball game, slow frame startup buttons, a lot of negative moves on block, no low forward (aside from cr. Hp which is pretty slow) he’s difficult to play against the other ridiculous characters in the game that exist that have all of the things I mentioned and then some
@@Mentallyuntouchable weak fireball game? Yea fine but at the end of the day he has a fireball. I think Ed has good pressure because of the flickers though. negative moves, sure. No low forward besides crouching heavy, so he at least has a low forward. He’s difficult to play against other ridiculous characters, I mean you could say that for every low and mid tier character in the game. I think you’re describing a character that needs more tools to be better though that applies to like I said to every other low / mid tier character and I think Eds definitely in the upper echelon of that bracket, not exactly that he has a high skill ceiling. Though I know his buttons are very unintuitive when you first play him.

I love watching lab monsters become really good at really advanced tech. I remember when Ed came out and everyone was talking about how his level 2 was going to take some time to develop and how it probably wouldn't be as good as Rashid's. I'm happy to see that this is where we are now

I have been running into a lot more Ed’s since the new lvl 2 tech
as a new street fighter player and ed main, that first combo at the start of the video was like O .O
To add to the visual Q of Ed ducking you can also add this good sound Q. After Eds lvl2 activation he will say "Eat This" a frame after he says that he will go into the crouch animation. It helps a bit more than just visually waiting for the duck animation. Hope it helps fellas

I really need a step by step guide on the momochi sequence, I manage to get the desync and the first DP, but the 2nd DP either wiffs or takes at least 2 hits from the super so by the time they hit it the 3rd time it expires

high level stuff thats hard to execute should never be removed unless that thing is an instant kill. I appreciate seeing things that i know that ill never be able to do but seing dedicated players do them consistently. stuff like that is part of what makes fighting games hype
I think the desync combo will be fine, but Capcom is not going to allow the meter building. Maybe they will feel so bad that they will compensate it with a 6 frames medium.

If you accidentally do level 2 to a grounded target, just sweep and kill rush. It sets you up for a nasty mix up cause the level 2 crosses as your in front. Guaranteed damage

Man, not only did he build the level 1 during the first combo, the whole combo itself dealt about 1.5 drive damage on punish counter, putting Luke into burnout and letting him be easily chipped in the corner.

That's on me as editor; He talked about some interesting corner stun stuff but it ended up not coming up during the gameplay, so it got cut from the intro for time.
i have been hit by multiple different Ed players' desync combos, and not a single one of them has been the same yet. They all seem to have found or copied and adapted their own easier to hit version for online.
Where can I find a tutorial on how to do these combos? I've been playing around improving my Ed game but right now still stick with baby level 4k dmg combos (Which, admittedly, aren't hard to execution, which is nice)

This is what supers should be, utility that plays with character specific strengths. The fact that 98% of meter in this game is just mindlessly dumped at the end of combos is so lame.
People shit talk blanka but the two times I’ve seen people use his LVL2 to make his LVL1 into a full screen mode to clinch the round was amazing. Utility like that is amazing I agree

Rashid has entered the chat 😂. Most OP level 2 is rashid I wouldn’t be surprised if capcom nerfed rashid lvl 2 and then fixed Ed’s de sync. I do think this needs to change for the longevity of the game. Just give Ed a reliable AA he would be 100x better
the ranked matches in particular seem to be losing connection a lot these last few days. I got it twice in one night in a 3 hour window.
