I am glad you took time to share the tourist spots in Tayabas, I used to be there at Nawawalang Paraiso when it was still bare, no touch of modern establishments as they have now, 19forgotten - ha3.
According to my late grandfather, if our town had not been bombed during the WW II, the old houses and business establishments are comparable to the old structures in Vigan. Don't you know that there is tunnel under the Basilica. The church is just a few meters away from the Ancestral house of my father's abuelo, During our time, Fiesta in Tayabas, was celebrated in a weeklong period. I looked forward to it next to my favorite time in a year, The Christmas Season.
Despite the modern structures in Tayabas, they were able to preserve some of the old houses and buildings, including the minor Basilica. This is what I consider as Tayabas' charm: a fusion of the old and new. Thankspo for watching. God bless

Yes, but per grandpa's account, numerous structures were totally erased, mainly due to the impact of the bombings, and also due to conflagration brought about by the said bombing. Had it not been for that very unfortunate incident, our town could have its own version of Calle Crisologo in Vigan today.
