**Correction: Tl used their own LPS-based speech chip - the TMC0280 in the Speak N Spell. This one sounds very different from the allophone / phoneme-based SP0256, and is much more versatile. Please forgive the inaccuracy.**
Awesome work, I love your general implementation, mechanical work and how you have had pimped out your machine :) Also thanks for all the links and explanation.
24:00 Get it to say "By your command". I was expecting to evoke memories of the Speek&Spell, but my first impression was that of the (original 1970's) Cylon voice.
Wikid Nice Project; New Sub, Drdyen, Mich. Wish I knew how to get my Brain to function, I have projects galore but nothing this intense. Well Done Sir!
Could you say a bit about the enclosure? The top looks like a single, bent acrylic piece. How did you make it? What is the bottom made of? Is there a metal cage of some sort? How was that made?

Man I love the sound of that chip. I could leave that part on repeat all day.
That is beautiful. Particularly the insides! I would describe this as the most beautiful RC2014 kit I didn't make :-)
Wow, thank you! High marks from the man himself. I’m glad you think it puts the RC2014 to good use.
Agree
This...this is good...this is material we need more of on TH-cam.
Nice I love the blinken lights and switches, been wanting to build something similar myself.

I realize this may be a deficit in my video so I think I’ll do a follow up that talks about that process. Stay tuned and thanks for watching. ❤
Reminder: protogens go beep boop
Use a ready available super power and make your own PCBs, KiCat and JLCPCB. Hand wiring your boards isn't necessary any more.
I believe you fail to understand this project if you consider any of this "necessary". Hand-wiring was half of the fun! Thanks for watching.
That is not the speech chip that was in the Speak & Spell.
Someone pointed that out and I’ve corrected the info in the description.
@@joshuacolemanmakes7518 Sorry. I only watched the video.
The LEDs are too bright
