ritsu is so funny to me. he says shit like "I'm a completely normal middle schooler, I'm the utmost case of plain and simple" which is clearly something normal people say. he keeps a spoon in his pencil cup. and in his pocket. he got up in the middle of the night and did weird poses around the sink to try to make water float. he's a rude and judgy bitch but only in his head. when asked if he has friends, he responded with "I talk about the weather with pretty much anyone, so don't worry about me." he canonically doesn't listen to music. his brother thinks of him as his calm and collected little brother who always knows what to do, when in reality he's the most neurotic kid on the planet. he saw teru wearing a giant wig and thought "wow his brain must be so big." when he and shou first met, they beat the shit out of each other until he was knocked unconscious, and then when they met the second time, it was when shou came to his house unannounced and was like "hey do you want to help me kill my dad" and ritsu was like "okay. btw I think we have similar family trauma." he tried to zap a bug with psychic powers and then screamed for his brother's help when he couldn't get it. he used to cry as a child about spoons. his first instinct when seeing a spirit for the first time was to slam it repeatedly into his knee. he is the thirteen year old of all time.
@27:59 Teru may have violated the Geneva Convention (twice), but Mob 100% encouraged him by writing up the list of things they need to get from Terada to save his brother from Claw AND made sure they completed said list before they kidnapped him and beat him up in the woods. Mob has no qualms hurting others to protect his brother and Teru (rightfully and justifiably) dgaf about would-be kidnappers/child murders because that's just not right.
Let's not forget that Teru was the one who chose the monkey shirt for Mob. I think he genuinely thought it looked good on him. The same can be said about his hair. After his fight with Mob, I assume that because he knows he's just a commoner, he isn't afraid to have a long wig. And we don't even see the people who he used to hang out with, like that girl or the gang members from his middle school. It shows that there must have been at least some hardships when he decided to not use his powers for the wrong reasons. But it also shows that he isn't scared to express himself. As for the destruction of his apartment, he must have repaired it himself. It seems like he relies on himself, which would make sense since he goes into the battles in his own and doesn't run or flee like Toichiro. It makes me wonder if he also healed his own wounds from Mob when he became conscious. (I find it nice that Ritsu moved Teru to a much safer location and took off his uniform jacket to cover him). Also, I'm glad you mentioned that Teru is queer-coded! There are so many fanfics for a What-If situation, and it goes into his home life more. Not explicitly canon, but I just think that's neat.
i dont know if there is any evidence for this but i always thought it was likely that terus parents were scared off by terus powers and they left because they were afraid of him, so he came to the conclusion that he had to make people like him by force so they wouldnt abandon him too
Aah what a great analysis! Ritsu and Teru are both such fascinating characters and I feel like, for Teru especially, I rarely see people connect the dots about his backstory in the way you've laid out here. A lot of things about him that are on a surface-level just weird or funny are also deeply tragic as soon as you give them any sort of deeper thought. Something that really gets me about Teru is that he's always rushing into dangerous situations on his own, without asking for backup or even letting anyone know he's doing it. This is where I feel his past with Claw and his living situation are compounded. He's consistently the first person on the scene at the first sign of danger. His first fight with Shimazaki, the broccoli arc, and the final arc all follow this pattern, and there's also an omake ONE put out for season 3 that has him taking out offshoot Claw wannabes all by himself without breaking a sweat. Like you said, we don't get to see much of him being vulnerable, and he's so nonchalant about it that it doesn't really register this way, but I wouldn't be surprised if his hypervigilance and need to strike first is a trauma response. I wonder if he's been self-sufficient for so long that it just doesn't occur to him that asking for help is an option. I also wonder if his visceral reaction to the brainwashing during the broccoli arc is at all related to Claw kidnapping child espers and brainwashing them (something he says he learned from one of their guys who tried to kidnap him before). the World Domination arc scenes where Teru is ambushed at his apartment and Ritsu is approached by Sho are also fascinating juxtaposed with each other, because Teru is clearly extremely used to being ambushed and attacked. He keeps his cool, he takes down the guys sent after him with ruthless efficiency, he even throws out witty one-liners in the manga (so sad the anime cut that scene for time). Ritsu on the other hand is obviously panicking at the sight of Sho and has no idea what to do. Really hammers in that Teru has been forced to be independent and prepared to defend himself for years.
these are such good points!! thank you for bringing these up!!! considering how experienced he seems at dealing with such situations, it really is scary thinking about the times he may have had to deal with claw when he was much younger.
Me personally. I’ll go apeshit if you do a Serizawa vid. No but fr I love your character analysis, I’m glad you talked about Teru being really queer coded I know a lot of people get hostile at perfectly normal teenager feelings but It is kinda obvious Teru’s admiration for Mob feels at times romantic if anything. A lot of the characters in this show are very either neurodivergent coded or queer coded and it makes sense since it’s a show about self love and understanding how differences are good and how we can’t cast them away but rather learn to coexist and accept them. I think with that context the interpretation of each character is really sweet.
Teru- A) Love him. Agree with everything you say about him except- B) I think his copying technique is actually more to show how smart and adaptable he is. He sees a technique once and is able to copy it pretty much perfectly. C)i remember Shou telling Mob at the end of S2 that a specific esper was going to reconstruct his house. Maybe the same esper fixed Teru's. Ritsu- Love him. I think I was one of the few people who understood and liked him the first time watching. This is probably because I grew up with a bipolar sister, and it was so much alike. I loved her when we were having fun and getting along, but was terrified to say and do anything to upset her, and desperately avoiding doing anything that might set her off. As you might imagine that caused a lot of complicated, mixed, and toxic feelings. Also he's played by Miyu Irino who I have loved since I was in middle school. (I'm 27)
These videos are highly underrated. Also I think that Teru coping others' abilities shows how smart and gifted he really is, and not that he has inferiority complex towards them. After all it seemed like he took down both explosion and whip guys easily. Or it can be both inferiority complex and the fact that he's talented
I agree with the idea that it's most likely for both options to be truth at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive and they both fit in within Teru's actions in order to explain them. Besides, that only makes the character feel even more human. I rarely find myself beeing able to apply one reasoning to my actions when reflecting about them and wouldn't be surprised that's the case for many others as well. Good lookin out for that other perspective into the development of Teru's abilities!!!!! I pretty much thought something similar, although I forgot about it by the time the video had ended and my thoughts went to other points, lol.
27:58 "Teru has no qualms with violating the jeneva convention to get information" is said so casually in such a deadpan tone it's so funny dkdhdmdbdjh (Also I love this video)
im so glad you talked abt teru being a lil fruity and having a crush on mob lol, like there is a POSSIBILITY for terumob to be canon post-series, like their relationship is just really something i cant even find the word to describe it 😭 i love terumob‼️‼️
The word you are looking for is “chemistry”. Compare to how Tsubomi is treated more as a prize for Mob to prove himself for. You can’t really imagine what sort of romantic relationship they could have. It’s so much easier and more fitting with Mob and Teru since you can see the effects they have on each other.
I always loved how Ritsu's psychic powers just looks like a less refined version of mobs aura, Same color scheme, but Mob's is a perfect repeating identical pattern, and Ritsu's is an random cluster of colors of differnt size and shapes.
to add onto teru (likely) being queer-coded, the shoes he wears during the world domination arc - seen at 31:23 in this video - bear the colors of the trans flag. i know it's a different kind of queer (coded) but it's something i immediately noticed while watching the show and thought to mention it here since you do make a point of talking about teru as a queer-coded character
As a younger sibling who had a complicated relationship with their older brother for a few years because of messy communication in early teen years, Ritsu means so much to me. Loved your analysis of him (and Teru!)
Cannot express how much I love your mob psycho analysis videos. While everyone can realize how good and deep it gets by simply watching the anime, you manage to shine light on the often-ignored character development with insane accuracy and well-talking. This entire bit about Teru was so interesting and enjoyable to watch and I'm glad there are deeper conversations about his character than him solely being an esper rival. I could never tell if the fact he's living alone and has quite feminine (?) posing throughout the show was any relevant to his potential background and your speculations make a lot of sense imo. Even tho it's clearly not portrayed as central to the depiction of his personnality, I like to think that the queer coded side of him is mostly caused by mob's influence as a way to express himself - I think it's fair to say he used to compensate his weaknesses with an artificial ego before encountering mob and that he eventually gave up on that "fake self" afterwards, potentially explaining the significant increase in unconventional posing and appearance - doesn't even necessarily mean he's gay for wearing pink shirts and resting hands-on-hips regularly, but I really enjoy that he doesn't come off as overly masculine for the sake of it without making this side of hm overwhelming in the writing
Thanks for making another video on Mob Pscho! It's remained my favorite show since it began airing and your videos have been a treat as you point out a lot of the subtleties and details that I've missed, or simply overlooked. I'm glad you gave these two characters a special look. Admittedly, like you said, not all the characters in the series are subjects material of intense deep-dives, but Teru and Ritsu definitely are. What's more, your videos are really well done and a joy to watch. Great job!
Man Ritsu is one of my favorite characters. I love every Mob Pscyco character but Ritsu’s introductory arc hit me really hard. It felt like the darkest arc, every Ritsu POV was even lit and directed differently he talks down to himself but he’s really cold and calculating. He’s jealous of Mob’s powers and acts out with the president seeing that shame activates his pcicic powers so he keeps ruining his classmates lives to get more power, which he wants because of his jealousy a jealousy born from him not understanding Mob and wanting to protect his big brother. Seeing Ritsu spiral and diminish others felt so harsh he hit me so hard.after getting his powers and finally seeing what Mob thinks even as he’s acting awful Mobs just so happy for him. Then he starts as a way to get out of claw encouraging the other kids he put down showing them how good their powers can be. Even showing to have stayed in contact with them. Seeing Mb just be so happy for him but also seeing his lowest Ritsu starts being more positive being more of a Mob figure effecting everyone he meets and making them better. Him and Tsubomi give off similar vibes to me. Their both charismatic good looking popular classmates and even though they’re very different they both have a similar paranoia about their social status but Ritsu’s is directed towards his brother. They’re both good people but kinda jerks not really intentionally but just very quick to judge. He’s also just such an amazing brother even if it does come out as overprotective, dude literally realized that Mob and ??? we’re the same before Mob did “that wasn’t my brother” to I know your outbursts and feelings and Mob are the same and I accept all parts of you top tier character development. This videos amazing I love bot these boys so much you Mob videos bring me so much joy
This was a very good analysis! I feel like both Ritsu and Teru have characters that are somewhat easier to overlook due to their subtlety but you explained their scope really well! The writing is very full circle and cohesive and you were able to articulate that in a way that was easy to digest. I put this on in the background while working on a Teru drawing and the vibes were immaculate thank u
I think Ristu and Teru both had amazing self-contained arcs in the first season, got kinda left in the dust by season 2 because of its subtle power creep issues (not nearly as bad as other shounen but still very notable), then made a pretty big swingback in season 3-- with them each getting really great returns to the main story and proper send-offs in the last couple of arcs. So I guess they both started as being a potential Krillin, Tien, Piccolo, or literally any rival character in early Dragonball, but were given second wind due to ONE's more unconventional shounen writing.
Ritsu is a pretty relatable character to me. It's mostly because of my perception and relationship to my older sister. Even though both me an Ritsu's circumstances are very very different.
Now that was a great analysis of MP. While most others would just praise the aspects we all know and love about the series, you introduced aspects and discussed topics that I've yet to seen covered by any other channel. From Teru's internal suffering, to his queer coding, these are both subjects that I've overlooked despite my countless rewatches/reads of the story. Regardless, whether you're talking about anime or playing tf2 on stream, I'm here for the long haul. Keep up the good work! ( •̀ ω •́ )y
5:43 I honestly feel like it could be both reasons. Like, maybe he only tolerates Reigen (knowing he's lying to mob) because he knows how much reigen helps Mob. Otherwise, there wouldn't really be anything stopping Ritsu from telling Mob or other people the truth about Reigen.
I’m in my Mob Psycho brainrot right now and I absolutely love every character in it. I especially love Teru and Ritsu because I find both really relatable. I relate to the gifted kid aspect of both of their personalities, because they both have a lot of responsibilities and self worth problems. I always felt like I needed to be the best and do something impressive with my life or else people would see me as a loser and a failure. Seeing these characters face similar issues and themes really hits.
I love ritsu sm He in season 3 wanted psychic powers not for anything but to talk to his brother,to be equal he wants to talk to mob without any fear or walls between them. He’s such a realistic character as well. Imagine that your brother has superhuman abilities which have hurt you as well, you would obv be scared and jealous.and come to find out that instead of talking to you he talks to a random con-man and he has more influence on your brother than you would develop a hatred for em as well. +He is the only character in the whole show who knows when they’re being used and when they’re not
i'm seeing this video a lot later than when you first posted but omg this was a fantastic analysis I feel like I need to watch the series all over again (for the 4th time lolol) mob psycho is truely one of the best animes i've ever seen and you explain it so well
thank you so much!! talking about and analyzing stuff like this is something that makes me very happy so it's so great seeing that it makes others happy, too!!
With the amount of knowledge and understanding of mob psycho 100 you could probably make an iceberg- Also i understand you probably won't want to talk about mp100 much more after like.. close to 2 whole hours of essays but like, what about all the former claw members? They all go through change and i always found their personalities really charming and deserving of more None of them compare to the almighty leader of salt middle school tenga onigawara the elden lord obviously but they're all neat
You have such a gigantic brain! It would be very interesting to delve into more smaller aspects of the series, even if a lot of it would be speculation!
@@swampcryptid aww thank you! Yea speculation would obviously be necessary since, yk we DONT follow any of these characters for nearly any amount of time in the series but genuinely all of what we see after each one leaves claw is quite interesting Also even if they aren't the most fleshed out characters they're all charming and goofy in their own ways and thats all we can ask for
i just finished the ritsu section as i'm typing this, so apologies if you talk about it more later! but the brief mention when you talk about ritsu and reigen that you read ritsu as believing reigen is a fraud is foundational to a way i read their dynamic. in season one, before awakening to his powers, ritsu firmly believes he has everyone in his life fooled into thinking he's special when he's not and hates that about himself. and then there's reigen, who is openly faking the exact abilities ritsu believes would make him finally able to meet the bare minimum standard of being a person like his brother. basically ritsu looks at reigen and is like "you're my shadow self"
Had to pause immediately to add this comment... The series definitely considers Teruki & Ritsu as main characters, and it also technically includes Sho in that matter. To me, the final arc of the series proves this by bringing each one in to wrap up their characters, showing they were integral to get to that point and now they're needed to cap it all off. Great analysis! Even though I haven't even watched the video...
I absolutely loved everything you said in this video, the way you tell the nuances of the characters is so GOOD, thank you so much for talking about Mob in this way it is a work that I admire a lot!!
29:13 I also noticed that while watching the show and I interpreted it as Teru still being a kid and thus still learning what his can/should do with his psychic powers, although during the whole show I was focusing on how they were just kids and shouldn’t have to deal with this stuff. Idk just wanted to share my interpretation of it :)
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, i really was waiting for someone to speak about teru and ritsu and their arcs, they're my sis fav characters because of that, i really love your vids and i cant wait to show this to sister. Also i really love the way you explain everything, keep up the good work!
I think that reaching a third makes it a series, so you are making quite a cool series!!!! Mob looks up to Ritsu because he's taller, lol!!!!! I completely support your comment on Teru's crush. I always thought to sense a "vibe" from him. Although I never really put any thought into it nor looked for the specific details you mentioned, so I'm really glad that you compiled them! I just usually dismissed those ideas because I'm always lookiing around to find that kind of "clues" and most often than not I end up feeling I'm just overthinking things, lol. I think everyone could say 100 times that Mob Psycho 100 es a great anime and it still wouldn't be said enough times!!!! Thank you very much for taking the time and making this amezing videos, I still haven't watch the one on Dimple and strongly intend to do so as soon as time allows me!!!! I'm greatly glad we are "stuck" with you, as it is an absolute pleassure to watch this kind of content!!!!!!
I am genuinely scared of the Kageyama household if Shigeo and Ritsu was fighting each other or maybe even just teasing each other. If psychic powers were involved… well it certainly wouldn’t come out good.
"I think the reason why ritsu isn't as appreciated" And with that one segment of your sentence I came to realize how out of tune I am with the Mob Psycho fandom Ritsu is my favorite character and 20% of the reason why is that cool ass pose he hits in 99.9
swamp i may not watch this show but i will always watch your vids about it anyway :] not to get sappy but i love seeing you succeeding doing this thing you love, it makes me very happy and glad and stuff !!!!! i hope you reach one bajillion subs soon . -xoxo mason
mason ilysm thank you so so much!! i wouldn't have been able to get this far at all without you being so supportive along the way :)))) ur so important to me i don't even know how to put it into words
subtitles please, I'm Brazilian and I love your videos, about mob mainly, I don't understand much English, so I always watch with subtitles I'm sorry if I sounded disrespectful, translate it through google and I know that sometimes it comes out a little wrong
if you're asking for english subtitles, then i typically upload them right away! however it takes a couple hours for youtube to sync the script with the timings so sorry for the wait!

Love your analysis. I do want to say some things about your video editing. First is your P sounds really peak and you should put foam or a thin sponge over your mic while you record. Second that sound effect you're using for transitions is funny but also is used as a negative connotation in most videos and kind of puts a bad feeling before your sections which can be disruptive to the viewing experience.
Thanks for the comment! While I know you don't mean any harm, in the future you should keep in mind that not all creators are welcome to unsolicited criticism.
@@swampcryptid I believe valid criticism is important. Creators can choose to ignore it if they want. Mute me for all I care. Ignoring problems doesn't solve anything.
this is gonna be pretty trite in comparison to the content of this video, but i still wanna note that mob did get teru naked twice.. im joking, obviously that was effective symbolism showing his ego and performance being stripped away. but then in that one bit in their first 'fight' mob seems to start leeching psychic energy from terus crotch for some reason 🧐 whats going on lads
True, but I think the point made was that there's enough nuance in his character that readers can draw a different conclusion based on what's presented to us. It's probably not my head canon either, but I appreciate that others might identify with his character differently in this light.
@@SillyMynabird my thoughts exactly, thank you!! I knew that would probably be a contentious section for some people but my main intention was being able to vocalize the thoughts of what both myself and other queer fans of the show have been able to see of ourselves in Teru. no apologies needed you can cover literally every other character first, even the gym bros, and we'll all still watch it this stuff is great

THIS MADE MY DAY THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHHHH 💚
Thanks so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!!
I really love Mob Psycho 100 analysis, it’s one of the most well written Shonen mangas I’ve ever read
Thanks so much man!! This made my day!
Thank you for these videos, I just finished the series yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about it
omg the sound effects for each transition kills me every time. Like never change it pleaseee
I enjoy watching your videos! They remind me to look at writing more analytically and, more importantly, that I should rewatch mob psycho 100.
I love ritsu sm
He in season 3 wanted psychic powers not for anything but to talk to his brother,to be equal he wants to talk to mob without any fear or walls between them.
He’s such a realistic character as well.
Imagine that your brother has superhuman abilities which have hurt you as well, you would obv be scared and jealous.and come to find out that instead of talking to you he talks to a random con-man and he has more influence on your brother than you would develop a hatred for em as well.
+He is the only character in the whole show who knows when they’re being used and when they’re not
i'm seeing this video a lot later than when you first posted but omg this was a fantastic analysis I feel like I need to watch the series all over again (for the 4th time lolol) mob psycho is truely one of the best animes i've ever seen and you explain it so well
thanks for the comment, i'm glad you enjoyed the video!!!
I love this, hearing people analyse + talk about things I like fills me with much happiness
thank you so much!! talking about and analyzing stuff like this is something that makes me very happy so it's so great seeing that it makes others happy, too!!
With the amount of knowledge and understanding of mob psycho 100 you could probably make an iceberg-
Also i understand you probably won't want to talk about mp100 much more after like.. close to 2 whole hours of essays but like, what about all the former claw members? They all go through change and i always found their personalities really charming and deserving of more
None of them compare to the almighty leader of salt middle school tenga onigawara the elden lord obviously but they're all neat
You have such a gigantic brain! It would be very interesting to delve into more smaller aspects of the series, even if a lot of it would be speculation!
@@swampcryptid aww thank you! Yea speculation would obviously be necessary since, yk we DONT follow any of these characters for nearly any amount of time in the series but genuinely all of what we see after each one leaves claw is quite interesting
Also even if they aren't the most fleshed out characters they're all charming and goofy in their own ways and thats all we can ask for
i just finished the ritsu section as i'm typing this, so apologies if you talk about it more later! but the brief mention when you talk about ritsu and reigen that you read ritsu as believing reigen is a fraud is foundational to a way i read their dynamic. in season one, before awakening to his powers, ritsu firmly believes he has everyone in his life fooled into thinking he's special when he's not and hates that about himself. and then there's reigen, who is openly faking the exact abilities ritsu believes would make him finally able to meet the bare minimum standard of being a person like his brother. basically ritsu looks at reigen and is like "you're my shadow self"
thanks for this series. such lovely videos. adore how you word the themes of the show. literally my favoeite anime ever
me and all my homies love ritsu
Part of the homies 💪
Had to pause immediately to add this comment...
The series definitely considers Teruki & Ritsu as main characters, and it also technically includes Sho in that matter. To me, the final arc of the series proves this by bringing each one in to wrap up their characters, showing they were integral to get to that point and now they're needed to cap it all off.
Great analysis! Even though I haven't even watched the video...
Oh yeah, another excellent video as always
i absolutely adore both of these characters. great video/video series
I absolutely loved everything you said in this video, the way you tell the nuances of the characters is so GOOD, thank you so much for talking about Mob in this way it is a work that I admire a lot!!
Dude, writing about why you like the things you like is an enlightened way of satisfying oneself. Really high on the pyramid of human necessities.
MOB VIDEO YEEESSS
This is so real. Keep it up the amazing work Mire
another great analysis video wow!!!! I rewatch them concerning amount..
Also i really love the way you explain everything, keep up the good work!
yeah sure i'll rewatch this for the fifth time
I love your videos on mp100 analysis. Its very detailed and i can feel the love that you feel towards mob psycho in it.
tbh I interpreted mob's "powers running wild" where he flies the toy plane as his awakening moment
Very perceptive and insightful analysis, laid out very eloquently 🤓 I could listen to you talk all day :)
Great videos! Thank you for making these, truly
GYM BROS NEXT LOVE THESE
another thing to mention is Teru is likely one of the only characters to have actually KILLED someone, I mean that fire guy is very probably dead.
I am genuinely scared of the Kageyama household if Shigeo and Ritsu was fighting each other or maybe even just teasing each other. If psychic powers were involved… well it certainly wouldn’t come out good.
I hope if you do another one of these, it's about Tsubomi. I feel like she has a lot of undiscussed depth.
"I think the reason why ritsu isn't as appreciated"
And with that one segment of your sentence I came to realize how out of tune I am with the Mob Psycho fandom
Ritsu is my favorite character and 20% of the reason why is that cool ass pose he hits in 99.9
Every Video Reigen is in gets a like by default.
swamp i may not watch this show but i will always watch your vids about it anyway :] not to get sappy but i love seeing you succeeding doing this thing you love, it makes me very happy and glad and stuff !!!!! i hope you reach one bajillion subs soon . -xoxo mason
mason ilysm thank you so so much!! i wouldn't have been able to get this far at all without you being so supportive along the way :)))) ur so important to me i don't even know how to put it into words
Woah this is actually a rlly good commentary and analysis about them lol, u honestly deserve more views than this
Thanks so much!!
ohhhh i cant wait to watch this
QUEERCODED TERU DISCUSSION!!! SCREAM IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!!
31:22 shoutout to teru's trans shoes
fantastic video, as always :)
Excellent video!
subtitles please, I'm Brazilian and I love your videos, about mob mainly, I don't understand much English, so I always watch with subtitles
I'm sorry if I sounded disrespectful, translate it through google and I know that sometimes it comes out a little wrong
if you're asking for english subtitles, then i typically upload them right away! however it takes a couple hours for youtube to sync the script with the timings so sorry for the wait!
@@swampcryptid I understand thank you! I will look forward to it :)
adding onto the whole queer coded teru thing, i noticed that his shoes during the word dom arc heavily resemble the trans flag, same pattern and everything
Lore police says it's cool. Also, real police are now alerted about the state of that 14yo Black Vinegar High student.
More uploads please 🙏🏻
Wait, so all this time Teru was still wearing a wig? Damn
Teru is a bi icon
i love u
Everytime i try to do a character analysis by my own but i just get distracted somehow.. it's annoying but it's grate if someone else does it for u
Teru ;-;
awesome content
Heh. 'Psycho'-analysis.
Great, now make them kiss
Teru Bi? Wat.
I agree with a lot of your points but i do have one tiny problem
WHY would you use the SpongeBob disgusting sound effect? TvT
Ignoring problems doesn't solve anything.
this is gonna be pretty trite in comparison to the content of this video, but i still wanna note that mob did get teru naked twice..
im joking, obviously that was effective symbolism showing his ego and performance being stripped away. but then in that one bit in their first 'fight' mob seems to start leeching psychic energy from terus crotch for some reason 🧐 whats going on lads
love the gays
What did you mean about the teru fever and the implication of mental illness? I’m genuinely curious
Am I the only one who thinks sho and ritsu have a crush on each other. I feel like I’m going insane
RIGHTTR
I honestly don't see teru at all as queer coded. I've always just seen them as close friends and mob as someone teru genuinely admires after his arc
omg i kept thinking you hated ritsu and teru with all the foghorn sound effects with each transition...
bro noooo teru aint gay just because he thinks mob is genuinely cool
True, but I think the point made was that there's enough nuance in his character that readers can draw a different conclusion based on what's presented to us. It's probably not my head canon either, but I appreciate that others might identify with his character differently in this light.
The heart shape says another story tho
@@SillyMynabird my thoughts exactly, thank you!! I knew that would probably be a contentious section for some people but my main intention was being able to vocalize the thoughts of what both myself and other queer fans of the show have been able to see of ourselves in Teru. If such blatant interpretive liberties aren't your cup of tea, then I do apologize but at the end of the day this is my video.
