I was curious about sous vide but was hesitant to invest in all that was needed.. but I did have an electric steamer warmer. Th ones u use for chilli or cheese for nachos at restaurants.. anywhoo.. I took the top pans off and filled a little more water in.. took some temp probes and dialed in 135* also put a trivet at the bottom.. Wow.. it worked and I have to say I'm hooked on sous vide now.. flank steak.. rib eyes.. even brisket..so far so good.. it's probably too large for just a single piece of protein but I like the capacity. Anywhoo.. I would definitely recommend u try it.. good luck.

Hey guys! I've missed y'all. Been working on a renovation and haven't had time to enjoy the finer things in life. Now to catch up on a few months! Happy to start here because I've been wanting to try Sous Vide cooking, so maybe this can be a start! It looks yummy! Btw, y'all sound funny on 2x speed because I need to desperately catch up on the back-log...lol

The steak looks scrumptious! You two must be busy during the holiday because t'moro is the eve of 4th of July, not Father's Day.. 😂LOL.. Too funny! I was just looking through your recipes because I have bunch of fresh shrimp and I was wondering if you've ever made a shrimp po' boy? 😋🍤 Couldn't find one, but O'well.. I hope you have an awesome 4th of July 💥💥💥 ... I also hope that your weather isn't still sweltering hot! 🥵 xoxo

Hi there!!! We have a fried catfish po-boy, that is super delicious! We'll most likely do a shrimp po-boy in the coming months! We're going to re-do our fried catfish video so, so keep your eyes open for that! Happy 4th of July! It's hot here, but not as hot as its been, so we'll take it!!!!! xoxo

Well, that's a weird "on the same wavelength" thing... I had just ordered Mexican Oregano with my last order of spices. Sadly no one has Skirt Steak (just before the 4th of July.. Who knew..) so going with Flat Iron and seeing if that will cook up similar. By the way, in the recipe the onions and garlic are missing from the marinade instructions (but are in the list of ingredients). I hope you are ok with me pointing that out when I see it. It's not a nit picking thing as much as 'am I doing this right!?!?' Let me know if it is too much.

Flat iron is really delicious and we use it a lot of times in place of skirt! Thank you for pointing that out about the onions and garlic missing in the instructions! Just a silly oversight! We hope you enjoy the recipe!!!

@@HowToFeedaLoon It came out really well and the chimichurri sauce was excellent as well. I will need to reduce the servings in the future as I cook for one most of the time, but it was a good and simple recipe.
