A beautiful Spring morning to go flying in Marlborough. Leaving Woodbourne towards the West, we do a series of right banks before cruising out over the Marlborough Sounds and Cook Strait. Always a nice quick trip - even using opposing runways, flight time was 21 minutes block to block.

Nice take off. Flew from here back in 99 on board ZK-DAK for a sortie around The Marlborough Sounds. (When she was camouflaged.) Has The Argosy been moved elsewhere or been dismantled? I did not catch it on your video. All the best.

What an amazing flight that would have been! An iconic bird over a gorgeous part of the country. The DC3 really is special. Ah the 90s, back when Aviation had sooo many interesting aircraft buzzing around.
Ah the Argosy. I am pleased to say that it looked pretty intact when viewed from the Road, driving in from the West Coast. Now there is a bird I would have loved to have flown on. That noise!! Nothing but impressive. Love the Argosy and so glad to see that that example is still intact. :) Thanks Heaps for Viewing :)
