Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort location
This hotel is located in the same private soi as Ibis Hotel Pattaya and Holiday Inn Pattaya. This is one of the best locations in Pattaya as it provides easy access to almost everywhere. The Pattaya Beach is just around 250 meters walk from the hotel. Popular Terminal 21 shopping mall can be reached just 350 meters walk. Central Pattaya along with Walking Street can be reached with Baht Bus in 5 minutes.
Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort guest friendly?
Yes, this hotel is guest friendly. 1 joiner is free per room, second at the same time can result 500 baht fee. Guest should provide their ID to the front-desk, as required by Thai law.
Does Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort allow pets?
Pets are allowed for an extra charge of 500 Baht per stay. I suggest confirming this during booking. But at least their website states "Pets welcome" and there is an option to choose "extra service" for pets for 500 baht per stay.
Swimming pool and fitness center?
The Mercure Pattaya hotel has two swimming pools. One is located on the fifth floor, while the one with a small water park and can be found on the ground floor. Both pools are available for use by guests staying at the hotel.
However, it's important to note that the hotel has strict rules regarding outside beverages to the swimming pool. Bringing outside beverages, including water, is prohibited and can result in a fine of 500-2000 baht per item. Even if you accidentally bring them to the swimming pool. You can't even bring your water.
The fitness center is located on the 5th floor. It has 2 treadmills, 2 cross-trainers, 1 bike, dumbbells up to 15kg, an adjustable bench, and a multifunctional fitness device.
Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort service?
From an Accorhotels loyalty perspective, the front desk service was excellent. All the status benefits were provided without any need for request, including welcome drinks, early check-in, and a welcome amenity. Late check-out was also offered by just asking which time you would like to check out.
I didn't use the restaurants, except for the M-lounge where the service was good. The cleaning was above average, with an extremely clean bathroom, but the coffee cups were slightly dirty.
Is Mercure Pattaya good value for money?
In the price range of 65-75 USD per night, there is a lot of competition with cheaper prices available. Other hotels like Siam-Siam and OZO North Pattaya offer similar room quality at a slightly cheaper price.
However, if you have Accorhotels membership benefits, this hotel could be a good value, especially during times when there is a bonus points offers (6000 points bonus for 6 nights or double points). In that case, this hotel would be an extremely good value for money.
Accorhotels private sales can offer a good value for this hotel at around 50 USD per night, but they are rare to find for high season dates.
If you are planning to stay at other Accorhotels as well, I recommend booking directly through their website. This is because their member benefits, bonus points, and member discounts make it the most affordable option, even if the price seems cheaper on Agoda.
