  • Through consumer feedback, Quantum Rehab® discovered the social and clinical benefits to creating a product that would allow power chair users to elevate 12” of height (10" on the Q6 Edge® HD) while at walking speed (up to 3.5 mph). iLevel® allows users to be independent in their environment. Watch the video to learn more about the creation and functionality of this new technology.

Very innovative, I wish I had a chair that would make me eye level with people when I'm out & about or at a place that has hightop tables & be able to elevate and not have to sit at a lower level table all the time. I'm going to look into a new chair like this. Thank you for the post here .

Years ago, I was told that adding such a feature I would have to sacrifice some speed. Is this still the case?

Hello, thank you for your question. Adding iLevel does not slow a chair down. However, when elevated, you can only drive up to a certain speed. For example, if you have the Edge 3 with iLevel, the top speed of the Edge 3 in the lowered position is 6.25 mph. When you elevate your chair at iLevel, your top speed is 4.5 mph. This is a safety inhibit. Thanks!

Because they can actually see us at eye level but when we’re low to the ground you can’t go through a crowd

Yes! iLevel is designed to enhance the safety of wheelchair users when they're crossing streets, parking lots or moving through a crowd.

Excellent power chair, except for the footplate, which is a throwback to the Stone Age! The designers had no consideration for disabled people with stroke weaknesses. Hopefully, they are still listening to Consumer feedback.
