Pakistan didn't have equipment superiority. Because Pakistan couldn't even use Airforce assets and only the light infantry. India was able to use Airforce and land forces so india had an edge.

I can however provide a rejoinder to your comment as well. India could use Airforce as they were operating on Indian side of LOC. Pakistan couldn't use their Airforce as they would've had to cross LOC and that would have been the next step on escalatory ladder. No one wanted that to happen, even at that time of war.

My comment was to point out that Pakistan didnt had an equipment superiority because it couldnt use airforce. The only advantage Pakistan had was that they occupied the hills which made it easier for them to fire on indian soldiers that were below the mountians.

On papers POK belongs to India. Pakistan can't win Indian Kashmir by war cuz international laws wouldn't allow it but India can take POK from Pak through combat war. India failed miserably even though indian borders and Pak borders are one. Bengladesh was too far away from Pakistan. Pak had to cross all india to get to dhaka. International water and land laws wouldn't allow Pak airforce and naval to reach there. India took advantage and unleashed rapists' and contract killers in Bangladesh who were pretending to be Pakistanis, from 1967 to 1972. Now bengalis know the truth.

I after listening to entire episode did draw two conclusive reasons for Pakistan losing all the wars and that are 1) since Pakistan is run by military establishment they always saw war through strategic lens and did not care about political repression that may follow, 2) They always had underestimated Indian response just because they believe their forces are superior. To Mr. Sajid sab, if Pakistan had used it's own air force then it would mean those so called mujahiddin are regular pakistani forces and secondly the "skirmish" would have escalated to war. Sir you said Pakistani side didn't expect India to use artillery and air force again you said IAF is inferior to PAF so why did PAF just sat idle and watched IAF decimate your forces? Sir if I'm not wrong IAF is 3rd most powerful air force according to WMDA and it's this mentality of your generals including you believing that IAF is weak, helped India win every war and skirmishes. Never ever underestimate your enemy. India is powerful not just military but also diplomatically, also economically and also politically. So Kargil is over but take a step back and look where Pakistan stands on global scale and all these happened to your country because of INDIA. India will continue to bleed your country may be not with bullets but with other means that may also surprise you in future. Kargil is over but Indian operation on Pakistan still continues.

I think he spoke about the 99 era when PAF was on par if not better than IAF. PAF had american F-16s and missiles which were superior to the IAF russian bought jets.

Strategic blunder is that they assumed this will be a skirmish confined to that region only. I believe F16s were good but I don't think Americans have given BVR AMRAMS to PAF back in 1999 while some accounts says IAF had BVR A2A missiles from Russia back then and that kept PAF at bay.Also IAF was conducting their operations inside their side of LOC. Since Pakistan at that moment had declared its not their para military in kargil ,drass,mashkoh ,batalik but mujahiddins doing the operation so they could not have explained the world why they are sent PAF for handful of mujhaidins.It wouldbe difficultforthem to explainback then.Only reason for PAF to enter the war would have been justified if IAF crosses the LOC but IAF did not give them any excuse.IAF hit Munthodhalo ammunition depot which was kept on both side of LOC(let's say it was kept that way so that if it get hits PAF could get an excuse to enter the war) but PAF chief kept PAF away (maybe he was angry and not in unison with the army chief).

I can however provide a rejoinder to your comment as well. India could use Airforce as they were operating on Indian side of LOC. Pakistan couldn't use their Airforce as they would've had to cross LOC and that would have been the next step on escalatory ladder. No one wanted that to happen, even at that time of war.

India failed miserably even though indian borders and Pak borders are one. Bengladesh was too far away from Pakistan. Pak had to cross all india to get to dhaka. I after listening to entire episode did draw two conclusive reasons for Pakistan losing all the wars and that are 1) since Pakistan is run by military establishment they always saw war through strategic lens and did not care about political repression that may follow, 2) They always had underestimated Indian response just because they believe their forces are superior.
To Mr. Sajid sab, if Pakistan had used it's own air force then it would mean those so called mujahiddin are regular pakistani forces and secondly the "skirmish" would have escalated to war. Sir you said Pakistani side didn't expect India to use artillery and air force again you said IAF is inferior to PAF so why did PAF just sat idle and watched IAF decimate your forces? Sir if I'm not wrong IAF is 3rd most powerful air force according to WMDA and it's this mentality of your generals including you believing that IAF is weak, helped India win every war and skirmishes. Never ever underestimate your enemy. India is powerful not just military but also diplomatically, also economically and also politically. So Kargil is over but take a step back and look where Pakistan stands on global scale and all these happened to your country because of INDIA. India will continue to bleed your country may be not with bullets but with other means that may also surprise you in future. Kargil is over but Indian operation on Pakistan still continues.

I believe F16s were good but I don't think Americans have given BVR AMRAMS to PAF back in 1999 while some accounts says IAF had BVR A2A missiles from Russia back then and that kept PAF at bay.Also IAF was conducting their operations inside their side of LOC.
Since Pakistan at that moment had declared its not their para military in kargil ,drass,mashkoh ,batalik but mujahiddins doing the operation so they could not have explained the world why they are sent PAF for handful of mujhaidins.It wouldbe difficultforthem to explainback then.Only reason for PAF to enter the war would have been justified if IAF crosses the LOC but IAF did not give them any excuse.IAF hit Munthodhalo ammunition depot which was kept on both side of LOC(let's say it was kept that way so that if it get hits PAF could get an excuse to enter the war) but PAF chief kept PAF away (maybe he was angry and not in unison with the army chief).
@@hottinroof7159 yes this was a huge blunder by Musharraf that he underestimated the Indian response. I think He wouldn't get the approval for the operation if he asked the government and Airforce so therefore he didn't bother asking them.
