Great videos man. I stumbled across your videos after recently picking up a Yamaha FG 335 for £55 on eBay - it looks as if it’s been sat in the attic for 40 years and will most likely need a good deep clean, but looking forward to it arriving! I bought it just to keep me occupied while I wait for the backlog of Epiphone Masterbilt Excellente’s to come back in stock, but after watching these videos, it looks like it’ll be one of my go to guitars! Cheers!

I'm convinced that you cant go wrong with a yamaha

I agree. I've had Yamaha motor cycles, Yamaha guitars and Yamaha amps, PA systems and speakers. I've said for a long time "you can't go far wrong with Yamaha", as everything they make works well.

You're feeling down for being generous? I love being generous. Love the way that axe sounds. I would'a sworn that was an all solid wood Yamie!
I play bluegrass and have played Bg for 40 + years. Bought a 68 Martin D35 in 1969. Like the chewing tabaccy that guitar is "cause hoss he's boss".
Great success with the band. Know any Dicky Betts stuff? Ramblin Man etc.

Thanks man. Been thinking about it. Lol. I haven’t been making videos for a while. Still out here watching and working. Of course I still have my trusty Yamaha. Unfortunately she is falling apart on me. I have a big project in front of me to get her right again. The top keeps coming unglued. An epiphone master built (i know) is taking her place for a while

Dave: Just learned my fave guitarist, Robt "Buddy" Whittington formerly of Jom Mayalls band, is wearing an oxygen device. He wrote Jacksboro Hwy Blues.
He could make his ole red Jackson take a guitar ride!!!

Wow you totally redid it, nice guitar man. It seems like the old FG guitars are copies of old Martins but I don't know enough about Martins to know what's a copy of what. I'll never be able to afford an old Martin but an old Yamaha is good enough for me, one of the best hundred bucks I ever spent. I picked up an early 70's Yamaha classical guitar over the weekend for practically nothing, it's a lot of fun to play too. Have fun this summer out on the road man, do you post your itinerary anywhere?

The management does most of the promo. I try to put up where I'm gonna be on FB before I head out. I've checked out a few Yamaha classicals. Wouldn't mind having one of those. I got a 12 string I'm about to re do also. It's another old yamaha.

Hey Bro, did you strip it with a machine or hand ?
    Thanks 👍

    • @gdave902
      @gdave902  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

It was by hand with a palm sander. Today I would probably use some sort of stripper in small sections.

Oh okay 👍, any problem with neck angle ?
Do you recommend this fg 335
Because I am gonna buy one at the end of the week.
      Thanks Bro

Sebastien Mills I just got one today for $8 it needs new tuning pegs, strings, and bridge pins as well as a cleanup. It's really sad how poorly the last owner treated

@@gdave902 hey thanks for the reply man, dig your vids! well my question man is, I saw a few of your videos with that Les Paul CM that you have, and seeing that you are very well stocked with guitars and equipment lol, I was wondering, would you be willing to sell the Les Paul CM? it's been my dream guitar ever since it came out (2015) and I have been scouring the internet now that I have the funds for it but I cannot find one anywhere, so I'm reaching out to you to see if you might be interested
