I heard you guys like build videos, bow build next I promise. There's other builds I'm theorycrafting right now, still trying to find the right things to make it as efficient to use as possible one being a double GL loadout. If you guys like this video I might make more theorycrafting videos in the future mainly as a catalyst for you guys to find a new loadouts you can main outside of the meta options. Buildcrafting rambling: The main goal of making a new build is I need to make sure that the neutral game has a good gameplay loop, because if it relies too much on the abilities usually it has too much resources that only benefits that one ability making the neutral game a lot worse and in return will lose more gunfights since the meta in D2 will always be "use the subclass with the best stand alone abilities with the best stand alone weapon" so finding synergistic value that doesn't feel like a chore while also have a good enough payoff is difficult especially with the limited amount of mods that we currently have. But I learn that almost all of the more "successful" loadouts that I've tried, almost all of them are capable of cycling their own resources. For example; heat rises + benevolence, grapple melee + impact induction, hellion + singeing, etc. Unfortunately I feel like the meta for the game is too shallow while the depth of buildcrafting can't really go further than it already is. So right now I'm just waiting for new weapons, perks, abilities, anything new to play with. Not to mention that I'm running out of inspirations from other players that could make me "refine" their builds. So as a result I'm currently playing less Destiny 2 than usual.
Yepp. Prismatic seemed awesome for buildcrafting but they clipped some of its synergy potential and made it more about getting Transcendence ASAP. Which is fun and all but there's so much more we could've done if we got more fragments. Also yes I recently noticed how fun and varied Stasis fragments are once they're all unlocked. Renewal Grasps are totally slept on and I've also been using Verglas Curve because it's just so fun
Never forget that Horror Story is a Stasis 450 that has collective action and you can stack it with Icefall Mantles t4 buff in PvP for a very crisp level of Pew Pew
@@HynraCanFly It is by far one of my favorite ARs in the game for this reason. An Excellent on demand damage buff combo + incredible survivability due to icefall. Peak behemoth gaming!
In pve, an interesting interaction is that whisper of reversal will apply slow on glaive melees and whisper of torment procs on glaive shields. This can be applied on a renewal hunter: placing down a duskfield will gradually grant you frost armour, which procs reversal > any melee hit now applies slow, giving 2 immediate anti champion options and a burst of damage if you land enough hits for a freeze, if they die to the hit then a shard is created and you pick it up immediately since you're right on top of it > can an also activate whisper of refraction or bonds for class ability or an orb. Since you're in melee range, you're guaranteed to get hit (but damage is mitigated with frost armour and renewal in tandem), which procs torment, getting you closer to your next grenade. If they're too far away, the glaive shield provides a safe way to force recharge your grenade with minimal damage. This all creates a fleshed out playstyle of designating a zone with a duskfield > rush in whilst you have the area advantage > melee them to death > gather shards/resources > rinse and repeat. If they're too far away, use glaive shield to relocate.
another fun fact about reversal, it also applies to shiver strike, making the combined slow from reversal and shiver strike itself freeze after a followup melee! shiver strike is no longer useless thanks to this, so ive been having a lot of fun on behemoth.
Love the stasis shout-out, it's definitely my favorite even when it's not the best. I used to love stasis hunter for bows before the nerf (shatterdive), and the other two classes can be quite fun. I think stasis hunter is a nice level of power for pvp. Personally don't love the new cryoclasm, though. Nice behemoth fashion btw.
they're pretty mid in the current state of the sandbox where prism hunter still dominates, still trying to refine them and the're nothing flashy to showcase other than the interactions but I'll try to add gameplay for future theorycrafts.
@@HynraCanFly you're fine man I'm just an idiot and didn't realize it was a build video lmao still learned a lot though, was making a stasis hunter for PvP yesterday but didn't know how viable chill clip would be because ammo economy cheers
ive been running( a while ago actually) a stasislock build w MoBH, bold endings, still hunt and pro memoria, the combo is simple: rift + 1 surge or 1kills w gtricorn + full super/1surge lets bold endings 2 burst all resi, if i kill frozen targets w still hunt it charges super and its super, pro memoria is just good w tap and hatchling, i spam abilites w frostpulse and harvest so much it feels like im playing chaos while enemies are on hardware, i constantly get 2 supers and sometimes 2 still hunt supers if my team generates enough orbs
on behemoth for frost armour builds, i use the same aspects as you, except i use whisper of chill instead of whisper of hunger; that paired with a collective action unending tempest is a good time for sprees
wait whisper of reversal works on the shurikens?? I thought it was uncharged melees only. I'd love if it made the shurikens freeze with just one charge in pve tbh
Tbh I love stasis on warlock but idk why but cold snaps have almost stopped working, idk if anyone else is having this issue but their getting stuck in the ground sometimes and the freezes are rarely happening, it makes the noise and even sends out the secondary seeker but won’t freeze the target, the seekers from ice flair bolts freeze consistently which is odd so I think cold snaps might have an issue, cammycakes mentioned it for around 5s in a video he made months ago now but I haven’t seen anybody mention it since
honestly frost armour needs some change (look at woven mail giving like 30% dr + flinch reduction instantly, no building stacks) but I also say this because making stasis builds is hard due to how many of the fragments are actually good and enhance frostarmour and a build (the limit on fragments is killing me)
unlike woven mail, stasis shard also regen abilities has more synergistic effects on fragments and can protect precision damage. Woven mail is still good for aggressive play where you have really fast movement where hitting headshots is less likely for the enemy or against non precision weapons. So I think both of them have their own ups and downs just depends what your playstyle is.
i've been maining stasis since the YAS nerf much more so in PvE. while i did come up with a build to get back to spine's old uptime in PvP they're definitely not what they were so in PvP i've been going back and forth between void and stasis, void to abuse invis to leverage sidearms more and stasis for more general use. messing with stasis when it come's to build crafting has probably been the most enjoyable thing for me the season as i personally just dislike the way prismatic plays. also small correction whisper of reversal doesn't work with withering blade due to it being a projectile melee and reversal only works for physical/uncharged melee unless there's a bug that i am unaware of.
icefall mantle agers scepter is awesome, dont care if something else does its job better nothing feels as good as being a laser tank that eats overload champs. also dont care for roaming supers so i will happily feed it to agers
on paper prismatic seems like the most versatile subclass when it comes to buildcrafting, but ironically, its one of the worst. there are only a few setups that are really worth running in both pve and PVP because of how minimal the selection of subclass abilities/exotics. genuinely really disappointing yk.

Literally anything other than hunter bs. Cringe.

Verglass curve can also slow AND ITS A BOW! win-win
The issue is the hipfire mechanic they need to change all exotic bow specialties to a hold input instead of hipfire. Makes them zero fun imo
