@@oliwiaskubera7589 whaaaaaaaat! Disney needs to stop this live action remaking it's an insult to the cartoon version and they make big changes in them too plus they don't follow the story right😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
The main thing about the third is that Grimmel represents the case which would have happended if Hiccup would have killed Toothless in the first movie. As he said, he killed the nightfurry where it slept and that made him a hero in his village. Thats just what Hiccup wanted in the beginning of the first movie. So Grimmel shows basically the antihero arc for Hiccup if he killed Toothless. On top of that both are very similar, they're slimmer/"weaker" than the other vikings and very clever. The only difference is the evilness.
those tiny little yellow glowy "baby" dragons are actually adults! they're called fireworms. little dudes burn hotter than the sun. they're kinda like bees, and hatch from a honeycomb egg. there's also the fireworm queen, who is a giant version of a fireworm (bigger than toothless). she is friends with snotlout's dragon, hookfang, after she saved hookfang's life and hookfang later saved her eggs from a cavern crasher (an egg-eating dragon)
It's interesting for me to see translations of the names into my language (French). Some come from the translation of the books that inspired the movies (which have a completely different plot); for instance they just called Hiccup "Harold" (the literal translation would've been "Hoquet" which sounds like "hockey" in French). Most of the dragon species' names were translated literally ("Night Fury"="Furie Nocturne") while the specific names were adapted (Toothless became "Krokmou", which literally translates to "bite soft"). The Light Fury was interesting, because there are different translations for "Light" whether it's the weight, the color or the light of the sun. Instead of calling her "Furie Lumière" ("lumière" being the word for the phenomenon of light), they went with "Furie Éclair", which translates to "Thunderbolt/Lightning/Flash Fury". Ironic, considering we see Toothless is the one with the lightning powers, but I think it was related to how she vanishes in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, their babies, which are called "Night Lights", were translated as "Éclairs Nocturnes" (Night Thunderbolts/Flashes), which is an objectively cooler name.
I'm just glad they didn't show up full viking wedding, and my favorite scene is when Hiccup and toothless meet again, cuz Toothless is like 'Hiccup my brother' and just glomps him 😁
They got me in the beginning I'm not gonna lie. I refreshed my page like 15 times before I realized that the missing audio wasn't because of my shitty laptop.
This trilogy is really solid, with that being said, I'm sad that I heard there's supposed to be a fourth. This is one of those things that should be left alone
The light fury and the night fury are 2 different species, toothless is the last night fury. the night fury and the light fury are basically complete opposites of each other. if you look at them closely, like, toothless has rough scales while the light fury has smooth scales, toothless has points on the end of his wings (kinda like a bat) while the light fury doesn't and more. as for how they disappear, the light fury uses her plasma blast to heat up her scales which gives her a transparent look. as for toothless, because he has black scales he needs to generate a lot more heat, which is why he uses lightning. the way this happens is, he uses his spines on his back to act as a lightning rod to draw the lightning to him. he moves his spines at a certain frequency to generate the heat which then acts as a lightning rod so the lightning can hit toothless and heat up his scales.
Is it written somewhere in the books( og material which films are based on) or is it just your interpretation of what you saw? Cause there are no reason for them not to be different species but still have this many not alike features. There are planty examples among real world where female and male representatives differ vastly alot, having different lifestyles using different abilities to survive. What i'm saying is that your arguments, aren't arguments, they don't have any point by themselves. The chance of them being a different species is even for them not to be.
@@Sarfixell In the movie it was stated that Grimmel killed all of the other Night furies and was surprised when he found out that there was one still alive, proving that toothless is the last of his kind. as for the light fury, she is not the last of her kind and the fact the Grimmel knew of the light fury and didn't care about her means its not a night fury. he was only interest in the night fury and not the light fury. also, the director of how to train your dragon Dean DeBlois also stated that "The Light Fury is a variation of Toothless' species, the Night Fury. She is not the last of her kind, unlike Toothless."
@@dominic8069Interesting, thanks for sharing that information! But that basically proves they are the same species. Like albinos is a variation of any human being, so is a night Fury a variation of furies or whatever,( there are no developed enough scientists who capable of doing any "unification of species" work). And Grimmel only kills those of that unique variation. It is the same if someone would like to hunt all the fully ginger cat's. That doesn't mean ginger cat's and any other home or street cat's are different species. This are vikings, they name things by first what yo came in their mind. They don't examine animals in labs to determine their biology processing. Same albinos humas still called white demons in some places in world. White lions and tigers were though to be different species ass well and hunt down such a beast would give hunter mach more fame, improve social status etc. compared to hunting "usual" tiger.
@@SarfixellI think it is more completable to a grey legged goose and a Canadian goose. Genetically comparable enough to mate but still different species.

Hiccup showed Astrid his "Night Fury" so hard, that the have two kids at the end XD (I'm so sorry for this, i just couldn't help but say it.) But if seriously, dudes, you just have to watch a TV series about dragons, not only because of the awesome connection with the second part and the explanation of some things (like Stoick's dragon and Hiccup's sword) but also because of the plot in principle. And if you like watching Astrid and Hiccup's relationship develop (since when have they been engaged, for example) then you just won’t be able to stop watching this series))))

In German they translated her to something with “day” included, it’s a “day shadow” if you would translate the German name. So yeah it’s really a missed opportunity in English to not use the word day as an opposite
The ending made no sense to me. Not only was it sad, but it felt like a huge middle finger to Race to the Edge. Also, if Berk's dragon's leave, how do all the other dragons leave? Like the wild dragons, the dragons we saw in Race to the Edge like Windshear, Sleuther, Shattermaster, the Great Protecter, ect. And speaking of which, if the Great Protecter leaves, Defenders of the Wing Island is destroyed. If the Razorwhips leave, the Wingmaidens loose their centuries of tradition. And don't even get me started on the fact that some species (mostly Tidal Class dragons, and Eruptodons and maybe Flightmares) wouldn't be able to survive in the Hidden World. Also, remember Cavern Crashers, that, oh I don't know, EAT EGGS. And the Hidden world would be full of them. Also, how would flightless dragons like Cavern Crashers, Speed Stingers, and Silkspanners even get there? Not to mention that the Sandbuster is pretty much allergic to sunlight and would die before getting to the Hidden World. Also there are dragons like the Deathsong and Grim Gnasher that, oh I don't know, EAT OTHER DRAGONS. Between them and Cavern Crashers, the Dragon population would greatly diminish. And what about Vanaheim? Are the dragons just going to abandon their sacred resting place? I get it if the Sentinels just stayed at Vanaheim because no one knows about it. And on the topic of Vanaheim (just a sad thought, not something that doesn't make sense), are Heather and Dagur never going to visit their father's final resting place ever again? And also remember the Whispering Death, and their giant mutated variant the Screaming Death? The Screaming Death literally made entire islands sink into the ocean. Could it sink the entire world if it wanted to? I'm sorry if this is excessively long. I just had a lot to say. There's probably still some stuff I missed.
