  • Over the past several years the Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) has been working with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Minnesota on several EQIP (Environmental Quality Initiatives Program) and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) projects including high tunnels, grass waterways, pollinator habitat, and wetland restoration. HAFA farmers grow a large variety of vegetables and flowers and sell them at local farmers markets, schools, and restaurants. HAFA also provides many low income people with boxes of fresh vegetables and provides business training for Hmong farmers. Videography by Dan Balluff.

It is a very good practice that you have diversified your market target. You will go a long way if you can maintain your quality food products. I have a business that the majority of my costumers are mainstream. It has been profitable more than 30 years.

Independent lifestyles is truly like you are doing here. We are looking forward to build stronger farming, and animals farm in Southwest Missouri here, too.
