Thanks for using different styles of music. I am looking for powered speakers for an acoustic duo, so hearing the acoustic tracks was really helpful. LIKED.
It’s not a subtle difference the JBL has far more clarity especially in the midrange… depends on what your using them for, if your reinforcement acoustic instruments it could matter a whole lot… neither was EQd though so it’s hard to tell…
My only problem with the Mackie is its superb with Rock, Pop and Hip Hop and R&B using my phone to stream over Bluetooth but when I played an Trance or EDM track it can’t handle it. I had to keep goin into the app and adjusting the bass which can be very annoying.. does it have a built in DSP to dial back the bass automatically
Thanks for the comparison. Depending on the track the each sound superior to the other. I’m not concerned with bells and whistles or ease of use just the sound quality for a band. Which would say projects the better sound?
@@expertisland why is mackie more for DJs??? I used my 15in thumps with the 18in subs and used it on all sorts of stuff and even on small band shows and they sound great I know they are not the best but for School music they work great

I like these test videos a lot. But, like a lot of people have mentioned, it's really odd that the sticker was left on the Mackie, covering up the high frequency horn... which clearly muffles the high end sound of the Mackie?
The highs actually sounded better on the Mackie - IMO. E en with the sticker but the toy sounding bass on the Mackie, compared to the rich sound of the JBL. I'm planning on buying JBL's.
Hello sir, Nice video sir , i need help , im not a professional as you so that the question for you sir. Mackie Thump15A 1300Watt vs jbl irx 12bt 1300 watt . Which one of them is good for events like outdoor parties around 50 people . Im not a dj .
Is the t pro wave 15 speaker better than and louder speaker then the Sony XP 90 speaker can’t find any reviews on the t pro friend of mine is wanting to maybe get one but no reviews
The JBL is more detailed but lighter on the bottom end, the thump is a bit muddy, but has a deeper bass , I've used thumps (older versions) but was not impressed by them , but to me it's all a bit irrelevant passive speakers have all the money spent on the speaker and cabinet and sound better and can handle more power !
Does the JBL have the built in bluetooth aswell? And can i use an audio mixer to help output more bass and less mid and treble? I can set the app settings and leave that and then use my seperate audio mixer
I have the mackie thump 15a, i use the xlr to a mixer so i could have the use of wireless mic,can .myquestion is.Can i use a xlr to rca to my controller and how can i use my wireless mic?
Purchase a mixer , then you can run your speakers cable to the mixer and your Mike would run to your mixer . On the mixer there is a diagrams on how to do it .
harman+crown+lexicon= what makes JBL better overall. noise is what DJ wants? let them have the mackie. eon is also best bang for the buck and sound awesome.
I'm not all that familiar with audio terms and such but the Mackie sounds like mono compared to the JBL's stereo sound. It's almost like the JBL is playing outdoors and the Mackie is in a closet.
Mackie has more of a flat sound where the JBL has more bass ans more color to the sound For a pro audio expert that can mix sound a flatter speaker would be better
What’s best for a club/ hall dj I’m actually looking for a speaker pair that’s capable of covering a 200+ crowd without having to buy a subwoofer right now

the reason why the Mackie sound more bass is because it's on the closes corner of the side wall. The JBL has no wall on the it's side that makes it not equal when it comes to bass.

Eric Mathis Don’t know if this was a great test...I was torn between the two..I listened to the Mackie’s on other videos demonstrating and they are REALLY capable of producing some clear, great sounding music with a little adjustment. I am going with the Mackie BTS because of their tight bass. The JBL’ s have a tad bit too much resonance for me..and this is coming from a person who’s not a “bass head”.
Thumps will defanantly put out more bass. However, they sound a little muddy. JBL EON speakers have a better all around sound. It certainly is a brighter sounding speaker
So your saying the JBL has more Clean bass than the Mackie? Cuz i been thinkin of getting the Mackie one but before i do which one should i get? I like more bass and little less mid and high (I can maybe do that with my audio mixer PV10AT Mixer not sure which speaker to get)
Mackie Clearly wins this. I like to hear the bass with the clarity and Mackie provides that versus the JBL which is still a wonderful PA Powered Speaker as well
I like the way the JBL speaker sounds. Thank you for the nice video.
I agree Rodwell Stewart. The JBL had a fuller, deeper sound.

At 19:21, the Hammond organ is hardly noticeable on the JBL, yet very noticeable on the Mackie. Why is that? Baseline unity settings?
