      The problem is that big companies aren't interested in solutions that they can't profit from. And from their perspective, by manufacturing (suicide) seeds and environments that are dependent upon their products, then that's an incredible gain for business. But with that said, all the efforts of such companies to deny and actively avoid such incredible solutions, their true intentions and motivations must be questioned. Could it be that they are just happy because of their own personal financial gains... Or is there a more sinister agenda behind the multi billion dollar projects, the cover ups of the true length of the destruction of hundreds of thousands of hectares of arable land. What lengths would they be willing to go to make the masses dependent on their food supply... We will soon find out.

      As consumers-we have more power than you know! We can make the choices everyday that can force these companies and farmers to go back to regenerative farming-with less pesticides, etc. I know that organic is more expensive-but try to buy products that are Organic and GMO free as much as possible-IF MORE people did this-the market demand will go up for these and these companies will HAVE to shift in order to stay in business!!

    I'm a permaculturist in my own garden, but did not recognize that so much brush and prunings could be used to build up the soil. Is it chipped or just trampled down? I have just started to use piles of this material, that we have so much of, to make hugelculture and berms. Thank you for this beautiful and inspiring video.

    • @AgendaGotschOficial
      @AgendaGotschOficial  9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      +Lyd Feltma Thanks for your message. Ernst normally don't chip the material from pruning. On Ernst's farm the soil is almost totally covered with organized material from pruning in different sizes and stages of digestion. One of his motto is "the transformation of those material result in fructification". Nevertheless, the horticulture farmers do chip as they need faster digestion. Best regards, Felipe

    • @lydfeltma6034
      @lydfeltma6034 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      +Agenda Gotsch Thanks for your reply. I have just read that, unlike
      what we have thought for so long, wood chips do not acidify the soil or
      rob nitrogen from the plants, if they are spread as a covering.
      Previously I avoided putting chips or pruning twigs in the garden, using
      chips only for paths or around trees. I though only compost or spoiled
      hay, etc. should be around vegetables.This changes everything. I can see the benefit in your film.

    • @felipepasini77
      @felipepasini77 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      +Lyd Feltma Precisely. The organic material should be spread out directly onto the soil, not piled up. If placed around plants, make it in a concave shape. Ernst is not against compost, but he says that nature does a better job onsite, and helps to create a local living soil, with both bacterial (mineralization) and fungal (humification) digestion. Exposed soil is like an open wound.

    Wow! Do you know where I can get information to reproduce this. My father owns a homestead in Cornwall in the UK and this would be amazing to reproduce there, to grow sustainable food and also show tourists how it can be done.

    All these folks working with the earth and rejuvenating the soil give me so much hope! There was a tiny sliver of information here about working with livestock--but then nothing further was said. Is there more information about integrating cattle and other livestock into the farm and to help rejuvenate the soil? I have been watching the films by Soil Carbon Cowboys with great interest! Thank you for this uplifting message!

      +Fast Pup Dog Training Thanks so much for your message and for sharing your opinion. There's a very interesting system that Ernst implemented at Fazenda da Toca that integrates cattle and forestry. We decided not to focus on that in this video because the area was implemented last year and we prefer waiting until we have some results to show. We'll go deeper in that subject in next videos. Thanks again! Felipe

      +Fast Pup Dog Training You might want to look at Allan Savory's Holistic Management if you haven't seen it before. I'm not sure if you are trying to integrate cattle into agroforestry, but I'm sure you can apply some of the Holistic Management techniques.

    Sera q esse sistema pode ser adaptado na minha região que é úmida e fria? Penso numa adaptação para produção de pêssegos, ameixas e outras frutas temperadas.

    Pratico e recomendo. É fantástico o resultado. Amplia a produção no mesmo local, por mais tempo, o solo, as plantas e o clima permitem produzir por mais tempo, a planta não se estressa, então não se esgota, exemplo beringelas, mesmo em clima de extremos de calor e frio como Foz do Iguaçu no Paraná. O café seguiu crescendo. Faz 09 meses da implantação de uma área para aprendizagem. Dos agricultores que visitei e implementaram há grande felicidade e entusiasmo com os resultados. Vamos em frente regenerar o que parecia perdido! Obrigada Ernest Gotsch. Érica de Carvalho Monteiro. Engenheira Agrônoma. Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. Brasil
