That "brain damaged" line hits a bit differently after I found out (via Game Apologist) that the (Archie) comics actually gave Charmy brain damage that cost him and his fiance their marriage, in order to make him more childlike to match the games.
That “brain damaged” line most likely been unintentional by the song writer since the entire song is basically Eggman’s struggle and seeks the help of the Chaotix. But still.. what Archies comics did to make Charmy video game accurate is just F’ed up.

Yeah sega actually tried that afew times back in the early days. Tails got a couple standalone games on the gamegear, and knuckles got the game that introduced the chaotix, knuckles chaotix... None of which were very successful
Look, it's a great song, but there are like at least 40 different sonic songs that I prefer more. The Sonic music is just that good. Even a 8-9/10 sonic song isn't in top 40.

It could mean three things:they literally do it(as it comes right after "A challenge has been issued by the eggman"), they would do it(in the sence of, they would help anybody if they need it) or the "him" here actually refers to knuckles and that part of the song is a summary of knuckles chaotix in that eggman put a challenge and they were a deciding factor in it getting resolved. It is really not clear if this is a plothole, a reference or irony

I love all of the Chaotix team members, but if I had to choose it would either be Charmy or Espio, but the true loved character would be Espio. because I like mysterious characters or just quiet ones that gain good development. UwUz (all of them have great developments by the way so that's why I like all of the team Chaotix's UwUz)
There are some characters I like more, but Team Chaotix remains my favorite TEAM in the series. I just love their dynamic. Espio is easily my favorite 🦎
