Good news for once now you know how us petrol car drivers were told buy a diesel there better for the environment..... Oh and then change the goal posts 😂😂
Quite right .I have to pay over a £110 for my motorcycle FFS , does 70 mpg and weighs bugger all EV,S are very heavy and cause a lot of road damage and produce a lot of tyre pollution too who do you think is going to pay for the roads going forward.
I believe the home chargers have to be wireless and you know they will tax your cheap electricity. Look at ULEZ as well. It is going to happen. Also one of my cars was sold in 1987. How many battery operated goods do you have that is still working from then. Cars will be even more throw away. That is 10 to 16 tons of CO2 to make each EV car. Would it not be better to keep older cars on the road for longer and develop hydrogen technologies from renewables, like JCB. Maybe put more into alternative fuels and have EV's as well were they make sense.
I don’t mind normal road tax. It’s the scam non adjusting for inflation “luxury” addition I find ridiculous. Next time people whine about trying to get rich people to pay their way, maybe think for one second how it will affect you in 5-10 years time.
Ev driver and yes i will pay my road tax, but also will electric scooters pay as well as some do over 15 mph and no insurance. Cyclists should pay some form of insurance just in case they cause damage or accidents with people crossing the roads.
About time EV drivers pay their way.
Also from 25 Dec 2025, EV drivers will need to pay the £15 daily London congestion charge, they will no longer be exempt.
And thus the trap closes.😂
Won’t be long before they put electric tariffs up too
EVs destroy the roads more.

and they fell for it again.
All those EV buyers that gloated.
My 2 litre diesel car tax is 35 quid.
Not so smug now ? mine are in the highest band but there you go, the damage to roads with the ev's battery weight needs to also be taken in account

Absolutely right!
Absolute bollox
My Harley is now 122 for a year 😢

Rightly so.
What about London Charge.?
For all you EV haters... road tax doesn't go towards the roads.
Most of us know that…. You sound like you’re just annoyed that you’re not getting freebies anymore.
Yes it does. Roads dont fix themselves.
