The glass ceiling needs to be broken. Add another team and make it the seventh nations. Every year, one team from the new tournament would be relegated, and one team from the Rugby Europe Championship would be promoted. Teams like Georgia or Romania should be given an opportunity to improve. And if Italy are not good enough, they shouldn't have a seat at the table. This tournament, as it is, is crying for change. We all want rugby to become more popular. This is the way to do it.
Rugby is a growing sport in Germany. Underfunded, there are many local teams, Germany has a national side.
Greetings from Sacramento California. I just started watching Rugby in the last couple days, I like Rugby a lot I can't stop watching it. I hope it gets more popular and becomes a growing sport here in the United States. Not all of us Americans like American football. English football/soccer is a growing sport over here, I've loved it ever since I was a child but everyone I grew up with never played it or liked it that much or took it seriously. I hope Rugby becomes a growing sport in California as well. I've been talking to people at work about it and I'm determined to spread the word.

this is exactly what I am thinking. but is not about quality, is about money, even in rugby. wich sucks. Italy is a mess. they should play in Rugby Europe championship. but no one in IRB would like to see in Six Nations poor teams like Georgia or Romania, even if they play better than Italy. Hope the regulations change.

Italy is the weakest of the best teams in the world, yes, but it still one of the best teams in the world and always beats teams like Georgia, Uruguay, Romania etc… if you want to add another team you’ve got to know that Italy is not that far from England and Ireland etc… but as Italy improves so do the other teams and at that level even being slightly weaker then the opponents makes a huge difference.
England got the job done. The next 3 games are heavy weight fixtures. Cannot wait for it! Let’s see our England do 🏴🏉💪🏼

10:18 this should be sanctioned by a yellow card. The English player knows exactly what he is doing: he is killing the opponent's momentum by doing a voluntary foul. Giving only a penalty for what could have become a try is not enough.

Yes. Because in the whole history of the game of rugby, we’ve never see any other player from any other team do this. Never. Tom Curry is the first player to ever do it and it was all Eddie Jones’ plan.

Change the whole thing to a triangular tournament. England, Celtic Nations and the EU (France and Italy), that way Italy play decent and win often. Wales/Scotland/Ireland can consolidate their annual "beat England" desires. England can focus on the Southern Hemisphere and World Cups.

So France and Italy should have a common team while France is far better than Italy (and most important: they are 2 different nations, good luck to convince the French to have a common team with Italy, especially if 95% of the team would be made of French players) England of course keep their team while other teams should merge? Worst game of international rugby I have ever attempted to watch, couldn't face the 2nd half as the 1st was so truly awful. Ireland and France will rinse both these teams.
The ITV Commentators matched the game: woeful! They seem to present every English player as the greatest thing to grace a rugby field; clearly not true and very disrespectful of the opposition (not that there was much good to be said about the Italians).
I don’t like watching on ITV the sound is off as well can’t really hear the crowd that well. The six nations should stick to the BBC it’s much better when they show the coverage.
You could be right England may lose to Ireland and France but you never know. England may surprise us.
if England fail to beat France and Ireland in their upcoming games, it will show that Italy are unworthy of their place in the 6 nations championship. Italy played like very good amateurs, making schoolboy errors, while failing or outright refusing to kick to get points on the board. The last try was embarrassing when the italian player failed to secure the ball. A shame that one of their players was injured in the last play but an England forward jogged through the posts. A virtual goal line tap in, from a football perspective.
Italy is horrible. Kick them out. All everybody has been saying for the past 15 years is "Great effort, need more time to develop"

As a Welshman, I couldn’t help but feel embarrassed for the English fans, as their players, celebrated their win over a side that was clearly third rate.
Celebrating a half decent performance, probably not the win itself.
