Check out Loop earplugs → bit.ly/3NoZFW9 and use my code LOOPXSTUDY10 to get 10% off! HI STELLARS!! I can't believe New Years is already almost here!! If you could describe 2023 in one word what would you pick? I'd have to say "hectic" xD
Estella, I've watched you for at least three years, and you never miss! Your videos are entertaining, aesthetic, and informative. We appreciate you so much and thank you for your continuous hard work.
How did you know I’d be studying during Christmas / holiday break? And I am soooooo forgetful I forgot what i studied yesterday and what to do when doing my homework 😢😭 so this video was a lifesaver I followed your tips just now and my studies are slowly improving- slowly but surely 😅
my friend literally saw this video on her TH-cam home screen in class the other day and said “these look like the type of videos you watch” and that had to be one of the best compliments ive ever gotten
Notes Ive made throughout the video: (1st tip) Distinctiveness-Distinctiveness is very useful when it comes to studying, it means, a memory standing out that you will remember for a long period of time. when learning or in class, try to play that distinctiveness so you can remember what the teacher is teaching and remember the teacher’s words for a longer period of time instead of you cramming everything together and being in stress because you didnt listen to the teacher in class. (Go to 4th/5th tip on how to improve distinctiveness) (2nd tip) Elaboration-When people are writing words or reading and do not understand a word or two, try to research on that word so you can find a deeper meaning to it, and when the time comes, you do not mix it up with other meanings or sentences/words for example, somnambulism is a word for “sleep walking but most people mistake it for a sleeping disorder showing they didn’t care to research the deeper meaning to it or maybe was not distinctive enough during class. (3rd tip) Memorizing and recalling-memorizing all the words in your textbook can be very tiring, overwork your brain, and waste your time since not all the words are going to be on your test or exam, so instead of that, you can look for summary outlines, key term lists, questions in your textbook, study guides, and practice test that can be very good for your understanding, actually focussing on what you actually need to study, and save time and effort on your studies so you can head out to another (4th tip) Self-referenced effect- To make information more distinct/stand out, the self-referenced effect can help by a landslide because it refers to the phenomenon where we remember information if we relate it to ourselves and no other. Thats why it is easier to remember information about our personalities and sense of style since it relates to us and helps us out. Our brain likes to remember things that are useful or relevant to our lives. So If I’m learning about something or trying to memorize the concepts for an exam or test, try to relate as much of the information as you can to our body or life. By doing this, it helps increase our curiosity in a subject and piques our intrest, since we tend to be more intrested in things that can actually help our lives or relate to us (dont take notes like me ) ;)
can't beleive i've been following you since high school, yiu've been a important part of my journey, thank you so much, we r really grateful for you, love yaaa!!
Thank you SO MUCH for all of your videos and dedication Stella 💗 Seeing your work and how it has paid off is really motivating me to continue on my path of trying to start my own education and studying channel!!! 💗😊
Estella, I honestly love watching your videos they're so creative and motivating to watch! Thank you so much for the dedication and hard work yo put into your videos , your videos light up my day!💞
Hi Estella!! I was just awake scrolling, and I saw a new video!! So, my holidays just started but this would be really useful for my history and language classes, so thank you so much!! That last part was really funny hahaha 😂 hope you have relaxing holidays, spend time with family, Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy New Year 2024!! My New Years Resolution is to use as many of your useful tips as possible. Thank you so much, Estella!
I used to watch your videos 2020 when you walked with your little brother I think and stuff like that makes me happy to see you grew so much good job your almost at 2 million so close !
You should watch the video (because it’s ✨GREAT✨!) but a little summary of the things I found the most important🤓: Better Memorising: - create storys for words - brain likes surprises (distinctivnes - stands out) - If it’s interesting and relevant for us - elaboration (integrate in things I already know) Tipps: - Self refenced effect - We memorize things related to ourselves better - Encoding-specificity System - Similar environment like in the test or use the same pencil - Imagine an Imaginary for a word or its definition - Mindmapping - Making a visual linking system between contexts - Narrative technique - Create a story out of words you need to remember - Feynman technique - Explain the topic to your plant ,identify gaps and afterwards learn the gaps - ask & answer: why? - Use the information in real life I hope it’s helpful😊!
Girl you are incredible!! I am learning english and i saw some of your videos they are very helpful. Only problem: you speak very hard english. You use words i never could have guessed to exist. So i always prepare mayslef for watching your videos: 1) laptop ready to look words up i dont knew 2) food BUT DONT GET ME WRONG. YOU ARE INCREDIBLE AND I LOVE YOUR ENERGIE, AESTHETIC, AND ALL THE TIPS YOU GIVE. ❤❤❤ (Please correct me if i made mistakes in this english comment.. tried my best😅)
this is awesome and I'm definitely not gonna forget this ! you did a great job balancing the fun and seriousness in this video and I just love your energy ❤
Thank you so so so much Estella just 2 months of watching your videos i went from 09/20 to 20/20 💗I am so glad i found your channel and subbed to you ilysm for this! Happy new year(2024) and Merry christmas hope you achive your goals and be happy for the rest of your live...💝❤ -Your loyal subscriber Iris
I love ur vids. Btw, ur study desk is so aesthetic. I just want to say thank u for all the hard work u put in ur vids and love how funny they are😘😘🤣.I would describe 2023 as stressing.
Thank youuu so much! I need this to make myself more organised for my 2nd term, of high school ! I want to get all ready and learn effective methods to prosper in the future :))
actually the thing is that i have to study 12 subjects and my exams are extremely hard and there aren't any specific key points or important topics as you have to learn everything word word. i cannot constantly revise everything because of the vast majority of the subjects and so due to that i tend to forget the in between material one day before the exam. even tho i get straight A's it is now getting harder to maintain it as syllabus gets harder. please give me a solution 😭
3:10 although I myself do not watch anime, I can agree that sometimes, being multifandom or being engrossed with certain types of media (shows, animes, cartoons, video games, etc.) gave me so many opportunities to be a bit productive with my studies or simply helped me gain knowledge... I don't even know what the "Black Death" is until I have learned about it through the lore from the video game "Soul Calibur". I don't even know what BPD is until I saw someone do a deep dive on Spinel from "Steven Universe". I remembered not having issues with Genetics or Punnett squares because I used the examples of the Mishima-Kazama family and the Devil Gene from the video game "Tekken". I've also learned words that I've never heard before as a non-native English speaker ("Genocide" and "Pacifist") until I got into Undertale... I can point out so many examples but that's also my go-to technique when studying sometimes...
I had the exact same rule with such word as "onomatopeya" (onomatopoeia in English) because it sounds like a joke: A car comes into me and I scream... "oh no, me atropella" (Oh no, the car runs over me) LOL More spanish native would be "oh no, m'atropella")🤣🤣🤣
You should do a video on notetaking and neuroscience. Specifically, how lack of sleep affects the mind. Or maybe sociopathy and how some seek to destroy others because they're a sadist...or just a sick individual with some misplaced anger.
Hi Estella . I am a big fan of yours . Your videos motivate me the most .Thank you for all the tips . Can you please make video of your new year daily routine .
Thank you so much i have greatly improved and have got 59/60 on my Maths test. I do find studying English hard tests that you can't predict. I call the unseen test can you make a video about it if you can or have time.
I got this technique where I can memorize things so easily that even my friends and classmates thought that I have a photographic memory. One of those technique is splitting my brain into 8 different parts for each subjects. I honestly cant explain how I could do it, and I genuinely don't know how I even thought about it. But still, this technique of mine is pretty much useless 'cause I am too lazy to even write or study. Guess If someone ask me how I do it, I'll just show them this video for an alternative. Pretty cool and useful stuffs you have here.
This is the problem i have with work: They don’t give me time to think about something and process it before throwing more information at me. By the end of the day, I’m mentally exhausted and don’t want to go home and waste my precious free time trying to memorize things. Then the next workday starts, I’ve forgotten most of what came the day before, and there’s 50 more acronyms or terms or systems to learn.
.. Happy Christmas and upcoming New Year.. Have an amazing year with lots of pleasure and delight.. Estella, I have been watching your vids for about 2 years. I've always been productive after your videos which have motivated me. I seriously respect your dedication towards making everything u do to make everyone feel potential.. I love you and I've never been so sure about what I have to do. But I learnt what are important not important. THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS. IT IS SO ✨sOlAcE✨You are ✨AsToUnDiNg✨ ❤❤❤💕💕
The first tip works because of the brain and memory -the more memories you have on a specific topic you will remember we all have a Schema -schema- Simply put, a schema describes patterns of thinking and behavior that people use to interpret the world.
Thankyou so much for everything i am studying very very hard just by watching your videos and ideas youre like an inspiration for me thankyousomuch...! Lots of love from nepal❤
I have recently faced friendship breakups one after one i am totally devastated.💔 Now i have exams in 5 days. I am under prepared. But i have to do good result for my parents. Please keep me in your prayers i am trying my best 💪
How do you exactly memorize Geometry Theorems + Definitions(word for word because thats what my teacher wants). I understand it mostly but remembering them word for word is the hard part... and im failing because of it. Like i got a minus one just because i didnt add "the transversal"

I love the editing 😭 makes so much easier and fun to understand the content, thanks for that, I bet it’s not easy ♥️🍀
You should watch the video (because it’s ✨GREAT✨!) but a little summary of the things I found the most important🤓:
Better Memorising:
- create storys for words
- brain likes surprises (distinctivnes - stands out)
- If it’s interesting and relevant for us
- elaboration (integrate in things I already know)
Tipps:
- Self refenced effect - We memorize things related to ourselves better
- Encoding-specificity System - Similar environment like in the test or use the same pencil
- Imagine an Imaginary for a word or its definition
- Mindmapping - Making a visual linking system between contexts
- Narrative technique - Create a story out of words you need to remember
- Feynman technique - Explain the topic to your plant ,identify gaps and afterwards learn the gaps
- ask & answer: why?
- Use the information in real life
I hope it’s helpful😊!
