Many thanks! 40:20 So now you know.... if you ever go to the Netherlands and try to contact Lucien, and he's not available and takes a long time to get back to you, it could be that a friend has arranged a secret meeting with him 😂
@@AnalogKitchen Hey Lucien, thanks for asking. A bit busy times but still time to freak with my gear. Nowadays I'm trying to get grip on my fresh purchased Octatrack. Lov it !! But, a have a learning curve. Stay safe and let's stay in touch!!
Thanks great tips as always ✌️When I started out in the early 2000s I'd use 2 korg electribes and write half a track on each x10 at home then in the club I'd put the lids on the decks place a machine on each I thought I rocked a good groove box can do the work and save the space of 5 other bit of gear
Awesome video with a lot of knowledge! I was thinkking, have you ever experimented with some type of compression before hitting the club sound system to keep the overall balance a little bit more in check? Or do you leave that up to the venue / sound guy?
I leave it up to the sound people as the know their rooms best mostly. And if I’m sending out compressed stuff, as my levels change the more I’m sending out flat squashed stuff. Best to train yourself to level it old school and give the tech the cleanest possible sources
Great episode and advice! However, every live performer should remember that the best lessons come from practicing in front of an audience. The more problems we encounter, the more ideas we’ll generate to solve them.
🎉 another killer episode. Are the 1010 samples audio clips only? Or MIDI notes that you can adjust or edit on the fly? Would be cool to see your prepwork in the Daw. 💀dangerous idea for all us DawLESS folks 😅
Yes the 1010 is only eating up samples. It can do more but I choose to use it this way. I have experimented with sequenced beats and recording one shots in, but I don't want to be menu diving on my Midifighter really. Still working that one out
This is not only a lesson - it's already a show 🙂 Thanks Lucien for all the knowledge giving to us ❤
My pleasure! Thanks for always supporting the vibe Daniel!
Great tidbits of information here. A lot of things you never hear from others. Thanks, AK!
Glad you enjoyed it Mickey!
These are the kind of vids I love mate! Doing what the master does best
Thanks Gavin!

Here ya go. Proof that you don’t always have to run crazy setups to get convincing results
@@AnalogKitchen yeah 👍🏻✌🏼
