@@redrain2206 It's called tongue weight.. A well balanced trailer could weigh 300 pounds and there only be a few pounds of force on the hitch itself. It's pretty clear this is some light weigh aluminum system that probably weighs less than 50 pounds fully loaded.. Think of it as the big boy solution to a child carrier that's several times stronger.

In the back of my mind, it's a 30 foot construction trailer with an excavator on it, putting the majority of 3/4 ton pickup trucks to shame.

Нормальная тема, Я в детстве делал прицеп из алюминиевых раскладушек на колесах от подросткового велосипеда, таскал его на взрослом дорожном велосипеде 69 года, в прицеп помещалось около куба свежей травы, получалось тащить его с приличной скоростью.
Ну а с горки прицеп тащил тебя😂

From my experience, dragging heavy loads can cause cracks in the frame under the seat post.

Yup, I made a big'n and hitched it to the seatpost, ok in a straight line but touch the brakes in a corner and it'll push you straight off.
Trailer brakes would shut you right up 😂😂😂😂

Just do an easy connect and easy bleed trailer brake. Bikes now days can come equipped with hydraulic brakes.

You have no idea what kind of weight they can hold, do you?
With enough weight, yes there will be the potential for damage, but you can put a surprising amount of load onto the seat tube.

A bike trailer should be hitched low by the rear wheel to keep the centre of gravity low. This provides better stability on the bike.
Thank you a friend and I had hitches built off the rear axle we hauled our tent and other goods to go camping I think that high hitch would have been a problem but hey that was 65 years ago.

In the state of Colorado, If the ball is big enough for any motor vehicle to use, then the trailer must be registered as a trailer with light and safety equipment as required by the state. I have received tickets for using a 2 inch ball on a bike pulling a un license trailer. This is in The state of Colorado only.
