Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

Thank you for these uploaded sermons. It's hard to believe these were preached so very long ago but are still relevant today.

Such a wonderful message. I’ve experienced heart wrenching betrayal this sermon is a comfort to me. Spurgeon had the wisdom of 10 lifetimes because he studied God’s Word so closely. I have to do the same

As a Christian for 37 years I most assuredly have had my ups and downs but I've never felt my faith so hopeless as it is these days. My prayers seem to almost be mocked. I got halfway through this and had to stop because it seems like it's all meant for somebody else. I pray for encouragement yet it's not to be found some tangible encouragement rather than just Promises of the Sweet By and by. I struggle that if I cannot get my prayers answered here or get any encouragement here what hope have I after death God have mercy on me
@Douglas Bowers I feel this sermon is directed at you and me. God loves us. Life on earth is hard. As the speaker said, oftentimes others' happiness and joyfulness is superficial. It is not in my nature to act a way i don't feel, so i am one who causes others to "scatter," as he said. The one true friend i have is Jesus. My relief will come when i reach Heaven, if not before. My prayers are usually not specific- Just for Jesus to stay right in front of me so my mind doesnt wander from Him. I pray for Him to forgive my sins and protect all the children in this evil world.
Finish listening, Douglas. Have faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I feel broken inside.but I feel it's too late for me.i feel like saul.the only thing that comforted him was music.
It is never to late if you repent and believe. Don't limit God by your unbelief. The Bible says but as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Psalm 31:24 “Be of good courage, and He will shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.” (Sorrows)
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me , for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Lastly, if you have a Bible, (or look online) read any of the Psalms that are titled, “A Psalm of David.” You could sing them aloud and/or from your heart as prayers to the Lord. David did. He didn’t hold back any of his emotions. (And, the one who played an instrument before Saul was David.)
Dean, have you accepted the Lord as your Savior? As I read your post, it was unclear to me if you had.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son-that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
And….. “John 10:9,11 “I am the door, if anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
(Dean, we are all broken in given ways. We are sinners, and this world is fallen. Beyond how you’re feeling, please know it’s never too late to turn to the Lord while you have breath. I say this to encourage you.)
May the power of the Holy Spirit of God Almighty open your spiritual eyes to the ‘Truth’ that the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord is more than sufficient to forgives our sins and His Amazing Grace that redeemed us!🙏♥️🕊John 3:16♥️Hebrews 9:22
