Just like to toss in my 2cents here if I could-for all it's issues, Miracle Productions were TOP NOTCH in responding to emails about the issues at launch (which is where I got mine from back in the day) and even air mailed replacement parts to me free of charge. Granted mine was the first series figure so even with the new fixed parts things weren't perfect, but I have to give Miracle all the props on responding to customers and getting the new parts out.
I'd love to see a new pass at this figure as I agree all of the thought and intent is there, just another QC pass would not have been unwarranted.

From the look of it you got the second "fixed" version had you got the first I fear you'd gotten out your trusty hammer (yes it was even worse than this). The company behind this had a lot of problems going on but I will say they were upstanding as they gave out free replacement ver 2 parts.

There’s hidden buttons you have to push to get those to lock in, I had all the same issues until I found them. He looks cool, mine doesn’t have the paint issues (dirt under the paint on red) but I had the issue with that flap on the foot lifting away making him unsteady, I hid a piece of double sided gorilla tape inside to keep it in place lol loose tolerance’d flaps are easily remedied with floor polish.

I'm not sure about this version. But when you were linking the air team together. The main center piece, I know the treads underneath turned 90 degrees. So the unit could roll forward. That's my RRR (no offense RRR, just had to push my glasses forward for a moment) tip of the day.

The truck foot panel roof unlocks itself on the black suv when I slide it on the leg connector. And when I don't have it connected to the leg, the panel roof stays on fine. I wish there was a way to fix it. This has been happening recently after 7 years of owning it.

Truth be told. I wish the Netflix Votron wave along with the classic version was more successful so we could get eventually get the vehicle versoion at the size of the Lion one we have now. The combined mode design is still cool. The smaller parrt would fit better for an overall larger bot.

Great review Skull Brother!!! If this worked properly I'd be all over it. I really liked the Vehicle Force. Basically they ran out of King Of Beast Go Lion episodes which was the Japanese show Voltron was based off of but still wanted to capitalize on Voltrons popularity in the states. So they took another Japanese show with similar looking enemies which had nothing to do with Voltron and Americanized it. That show was called Armored Fleet Dairuger. I believe they made one of the characters Pidges brother to conect it more to Voltron...

The diecast probably wasn't smoothed down before painting , maybe the reason the paint looks like that,it looks cool though but looks more trouble than its worth .I would get it just to have it.if it's cheap enough which I doubt.

I actually love combined robot better than Voltron in cartoon. So I followed this figure's news since it was announced. However, I have never place my order because the proportion, shapes and design choices base on their fb posts.
Now, it is outdated because the design was many years ago. Many negatives you mentioned were very common to most figures at that time.

I had this figure before and it is frustrating to pose, mine broke its hip that connect to the thigh part because it was made in plastic, it should be die cast.

Lion Voltron is my #1 Voltron. That said, I was hoping that this Vehicle one would be decent. It was a great attempt, and they had a hard time getting this completed due to legal issues. The original toy of this Voltron was also pretty fragile, and a total brick. This is actually kind of better. It's got a lot of flaws, but it does look decent. If you can find one. Cool review.

you keep the button down below pressed on the lower thigh as it goes in the connector. when you hear the click then let go of the button and it connects fine. it doesn't come off on mine at all when it is done that way. again press and hold on to the button and the fist goes in the helicopter tail. and when it clicks let go of the button. the same with the shoulder when you put the copters. and when you separate them all always press the button. while the car feet slide off easily, and the head ship and the fighter on the chest held by magnet come off easily. it is not as hard as it looks. I've done it a whole bunch of times and I have had it for almost 5 years. the red fighter on mine don't have no bubbles on the red paint. my minor nit picks are the doors covering the head ship's face tend to open when closed. the doors flopping on the lower black torso. when removing the car lower fists I had to shimmy it gently forward while pushing them out as I exchange them with another posing hand. so that the rubber connector doesn't sink in when changing the hands. which I don't do much due to some stories of it happening to some unfortunate people. all and all I like him. he's not perfect and it has several flaws. I got the second version which is definitely better than the first one that was heavily riddled with qc issues. I was thinking the other day when you were going to review this. got my wish. it is unfortunate of the struggles you had with it on your review. oh and the waist swivel does work too.

Wow! You missed every little button that makes connecting the pieces together a LOT easier. The buttons on the fists, the buttons on the hips, the buttons on the shoulder. The same buttons you press to separate the pieces. This is user error.

its not a rotating peg, its a hinging peg, which allows for the ab crunch. no swivel is used for the pose, I just can hold my own when it comes to posing a figure ;)

That's a shame, but like most people, I just never cared much for this version of "Voltron." I think the problem is that he's overkill for a combiner. I mean, 15 parts (wow, I think I just figured out why he's called Dairugger XV)? And most of those aren't even identifiable as anything other than "metal thing with wheels." Lion Voltron and the Transformers hit a much better balance keeping it to 5 parts, and you can actually tell what each one is.

I couldn't get into vehicle force voltron as a kid. I think it was that there were too many characters (and, if I'm honest with myself, too few lions).
I remember seeing the toy in stores, though. It might have been Grandstand marketed as I didn't know it was a Voltron at the time. I thought it was pretty cool.
I wonder if, proportions-wise, TF combiners have something to learn from vehicle Voltron. The perfect effect CW upgrade feet are about the size of a deluxe whereas the hand-foot-gun is way too small as a foot. And cars as feet do look good.

I do not disagree with anything you said about this at all. I have this piece and this is DEFINITELY a product may vary. The paint on mine and I'm sure others, while not perfect has no bubbling. The floppy doors and feet do seem consistent through all. I'm kind of surprised you didn't rip this to shreds more. Here's hoping that we fans will get a better version (Bandai SOC) of this. This is a known complication that with the metal diecast versions particular these small ones the larger ones that are bigger do not have this problem and they're also alternative it expensive kind of cheap plastic ones that don't have this problem but that's a known complication because they just can't get the small parts little spring little plastic pieces with a metal diecast parts to work it's got to be all one type material or it just doesn't work together

It's the first. The revised version has the spring loaded panel under the feet to prevent Voltron from rolling. The nose of the leg vehicles are crooked due to the ratchets. It's been fixed in the revised version.

Illsteir V2 and V3 didnt have the drop down feet panel. I had v2 which i gave away recently. And it didnt have the adjustable feet panel. And v3 didnt have it either. Only the original release had it.

I have the second release and the improved version. Both have major issues. If you can get it together in robot form leave it on display and do not touch it. It looks and feels great, worst part is trying to get it connected together even with pressing the buttons. Great display piece though.

I think Vehicle Team Voltron gets maligned a lot but the anime wasn't half bad if you give it some time to build up the story. I remember when I was 12 I was like what the hell is going on? That's not Voltron! It didn't help that they interjected the Vehicle Team story part way through Lion's Teams story with little to no explanation which needless to say created confusion. However I would leave it on and kind of watch it hoping to see if Lion Team Voltron would show up at some point. It eventually grew on me. As for this toy hmmm I don't know. The weapons and hand customizations are nice but I think I'll stick with my old Matchbox version for now.

All is forgiven, as for one, Vehicle Voltron was a bad show, Lion Force does not hold up well, but it has some redeeming qualities. I do love the look of vehicle force Voltron combined, but always felt the individual pieces and combined team forms were dumb. I had the Matchbox version as a kid, and he was awesome. I saw this guy about 2 years ago, saw a written review of him praising him out the ass, then saw an in-hand video review of it pointing out all the numerous problems. Then there was supposed to have been an improved version released, yet it still had a lot of the same issues prevalent. It is simply just a great looking, yet bad toy. I want a great looking great toy, hell I would settle for a great looking good toy. But this one is definitely not it. Damned shame. However, all that said, you still made a great review video, were completely honest with your thoughts as always, and even then, you still did not rip this thing to shreds as if it were CW Menasor. So, kudos, Bobby!
