It's honestly too skinny to be a maglite replacement. The L6 or L7 in 2 X 26800 config is much more substantial and weighty in the hand. (I'm not commenting at all on it as a flashlight, but as a self-defense club.)
I already have similar lights to this, but i have trouble passing up on a deal. I would've bought one in a heartbeat had it still been in stock. Battery junction had the acebeam m2-x for $85 yesterday. Looks like the price went back to normal today unfortunately.
0:51 Thank you for chiming in on this... Hopefully correctable with enough community input, but it's been disappointing to see from a company whose lights I generally like quite a bit.
I picked one of these up during a Black Friday sale about a month ago, used whatever reward points I had with AceBeam and that brought the final price down to $127. Absolutely loving the light since. It's not just yours - the SBT90 in mine is also an extremely neutral and pleasant 5000K. I have had a number of lights with that emitter, and most of them aren't the prettiest tint.
I'll say what I said on r/flashlight, I really think Acebeam missed the boat by not putting a 60mm TIR into this light. They had a great opportunity to slide into a piece of the market where a TIR would make an excellent SAR light paired with this emitter. They had the K30GT/K65GT/K75 for the SMO variety already. It was time for a TIR SBT90.2 workhorse.
I wonder if it puts out too much heat for that? The tir's seem to contain the heat a little more from my experience with them. The L17 for example gets piping hot with an osram led. 🤷
The L35 and L35.2 both don't have any issues with heat, and both hold more than 1,700 lumens flat laminar with the XHP70.2/70.3HI after both lights top out over 5,000 lumens during Turbo mode with. So unless Acebeam pulls a Convoy M21J and don't step down correctly like it should, I don't see any heat issues with the TIR.
Thanks for the video. Honest question, what would be the application for this light? I need a good light for walking. This would probably to heavy.
It’s really not as heavy as it looks. I love mine.
I actually find this incredibly comfortable to hold for walking. It’s lighter weight than it looks. I actually recommend it for night walks!
Vids been up 15 minutes - already sold out!
They have a lot of other lights too. All their lights and accessories are on sale that ends tonight, December 27th.
Oh man! Well, drat
It's the power of Cheule.
Hi mate. Your URL is incorrect. There shouldn't be two s letters next to each other. Thanks for the video.
Sloppy mistake! Fixed
I bought one already; I simply couldn’t resist, even though I already have many SBT 90.2 lights.
