I loved this video but it definitely illustrates why "hardcore full loot PvP" will never be really popular. Players are generally irritating goblins and unless you can put up with it (I can't) or you enjoy being reset by veteran players that enjoy crushing noobs, then the game becomes fairly unplayable.
And as soon as the mid players get killed, people will quit. The Devs are obnoxious idiots if they think anyone will sacrifice their nerves in a game this unpolished. THere is no real content and they think that new players will suffer veterans to get what? Any other MMORPG gives better experience
The appearance-to-stat effect is a big tick-in-the-box for me. It's just like Dragon's Dogma. When you encounter a big dude you know what you're in for.
I feel like games like this always end up being taken hostage by a small yet vocal griefer/“PVP” community. It’s always the same story and none of them get big because of it. How many of these failed full-PVP MMOs are there at this point?
You're genuinely hilarious. That opening with the sky cow killed me! The Frenchman from Monty Python and the Holy Grail was priceless. Keep it up man! You deserve success.
@@GamingDualities Are you really copy pasting this response all over the video? What do you imagine you're accomplishing when the devs are almost certainly not watching this? Or are you just looking for validation?
Yet another great video. The consistently high standard of your content is awesome. The bbq joke really got me. It's good to see your channel growing as others discover your brilliant work. Thanks again Mitch
I must admit, entering this game as a solo player is very difficult even if you join a guild, its much better to enter the game with a friend because youll be amazed how much just a team of 2 can do despite the risks of dying. Or..unless you luck out and meet the right ppl within a guild, the game can be very fun and helpful. Also, being in a guild has its benefits but at the end of the day, youll still need to do things solo sometimes or in a pair or just willing to do it cuz guild members cant always be there to help
@n_ePiPen damn u need new friends 😂 Lol, jk you'll meet ppl in this game. Just dont join a shitter guild right off the bat or youre gonna have a bad time when u try to do anything solo
I discovered you through your GW2 series, and kinda apprehended seeing if I would like your content on other games. Looks like there was no cause to worry, your content is great no matter the game ! Keep it up !
You should have played it when Spiritism was a thing. Two Spiritist stream sniped a guy for 18 hours one time. Had him on the brink of tears. For those that do not know Spiritism is like playing a completely different game. You are able to go through a portal, become dead, roam the dead realm where normally you cant see the living. However Spiritism has a spell that allows you to see the living in this realm. So you can create a portal, come out, shoot someone with laser beam, kill them, then go back through the portal. You come out of the portal with 10 health and are naked, but you always make sure to time it when the person is in trouble with PVE/AFK etc. You get to choose when you attack and the other person has no idea you are there. The bad part was the books for spiritism were gated behind two hard bosses which most in the game could never do even with guilds. So you had these spirit gods roaming the world killing everyone playing a hack and slash full loot game. Its just as crazy and nuts as it sounds. I think they recently took out the spell that allows spiritism to see the living in the dead world to fix how broken it was. Because the game was so broken and probably still is spiritist could also solo the two bosses required for the books. They would open a portal, go through, shoot boss, jump back through portal. Coding was so poor that the boss never had time to react nor regened health. So if you had 1 good spiritist he could get friends books or even sell on market/ebay.
I hope a more skilled dev team picks up the amazing concept and even better crafting system of this game and delivers a product that does not feel like a neverending soulless alpha.
I love Mortal Online 2 a lot, even though I'm not currently playing. It's a world that's brutal to survive in without friends, or being able to make them.
I put around 120 hours into this game. It was very enjoyable in the begining, especially on the tutorial island. But then you get to the mainland and realize theres no much to do. The world feels so empty whilst being huge. It actually made me depressed on how empty the game felt. It has a lot of potential if they added more things to do aside from pvp such as more dungeons, bosses, and loot to obtain.
True. This game needs more enemies like bandits around the world, more points of interest. There's too much empty land. And it's very rough game for solo players. You can't do anything if few players attack you. Numbers win, not skill. I think it's a problem in most open world PvP games unless it's designed in a really good way. I could only abide 450 hours in this game as a solo player.
They need to get rid of the continuous pvp thing, it's hard for new players or players the just want to explore the their world. It sounds cool on paper just constantly being able to attack whoever. But it doesn't work in this type of game
@@absolutelyfookinnobody2843 Thats why these games never make it. Theyre for a small set of players, but speaking for myself I love pvp in mmos but only if i choose to do so, and if i want to pve i dont want to pvp.
Ive only played a little but it was pretty exciting just travelling from one town to the next. Its not just the players you have to worry about but some of the mobs are an actual threat unlike some mmorpgs.
Dropped this game after 300h, got some amazing memories from playing it and got my money’s worth of enjoyment, but with the game’s current state, there is too little to do once you’ve leveled your skills.. Aimless PvP can only do so much.
The truth is... every open full loot pvp often attracts the most cancerous type of playerbase -> Those who group up to gank and harass low level players for the sake of "lulz". This kind of game needs to improve its mechanics to make new players experience or solo players experience bearable, otherwise it will be nothing more than a niche game destined to fail. Albion was successful in this area. However, EVE couldn't because even "early game decent content" can only be found in places guarded by gankers at the very gate.
A very fair assessment. I played for a few months on release and encountered everything that you have mentioned. I would have hoped that things would have improved by now. That said, it is a fairly decent game with potential, but one must wonder if Starvault have the ability to deliver. I would recommend the game though to anyone because they may just find that the game is something that they would enjoy, but it is a very niche game.
Hey Mitch, I know it’s off topic, but around the 12:00 minute mark I couldn’t help but notice the Ibanez guitar and bass in the background. I started playing in 1996 when I was 15 so yours jumped out at me when I saw them. Anyway, great video! Lotta laughs in this one! Rock on, brother! 🤘
Man you sent me on memory lane with that catch, that bass looks veeeery much like the first one i ever got back in maybe 02. First paycheck of my first job, ahh..true love. Got me started on my former hobby of frankensteining, then repairing, then building basses and guitars. Always going to love the crunch in an Ibanez.
@@zarahandrahilde9554 Cool! I build my own guitars too. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Warmoth Guitar Products but I’ve built a bunch of guitars using their bodies and necks. In fact, my favorite guitar that I own is a custom-made Warmoth Telecaster. It’s a solid 1-piece mahogany body with a bookmatched AAA flame koa top, dual humbuckers, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and a flame koa headstock veneer with just a clear finish on the whole thing. Looks and sounds like a million bucks.
The thing with this game is that it relies completely on players for the content. There are no traditional quests like in most MMO's and hardly any story or lore. Its almost like a medieval fantasy "create your own adventure" tool. So if you can find a fun group of people it sure has its moments, but then again, that can be said for almost anything in life. It looks great though, the map is really big and immersive and I love the fact you dont get an ingame map that shows your position so you can get really lost and it forces you to learn and navigate through landmarks, like rivers, mountains and towns etc.
@@GamingDualities And the fact that they had an unbeatable queue boss the first couple of weeks. The plan to fit everyone in the same instance/server was beyond stupid with those sales numbers.
@@SmokeMyBlunt Well, MO2 is a relative succes. It still has about 1300 concurrent players well over a year after launch. Not bad since its a buy to play game from a very small indy team. Gets new updates, the elemental magic school just got added for example. And the fact that there is only one big server on one big open map means there are always plenty of people around in all the towns. Sure its not for everyone but even as a solo player there is stuff to do like gathering and crafting, or explore the map and hunt creatures, try out different builds with weapons and spells etc. Its actually pretty good to be honest and as long as you dont take more stuff with you than you can afford to lose the pvp is alright. The roads in and out the major towns can be dangerous but once your out in the wilds most people actually are mostly pretty friendly.
Great video, and it totally hits the nail on the head. As a veteran of Mortal Online 1, I can say with certainty MO2 feels unfinished because it is far from being done. The developer promises the same content from the first game, plus more, and they are far from delivering on the initial content. I highly recommend anyone into MMOs (full loot and not) to check out MO2.. but not until it has all of the content MO1 had. Right now the game is mostly full of veteran players building up for the expected increase in population as the developer slowly adds content. If the developer pulls it off (and I personally feel they will), this game will be one of a kind and worth the time investment. The biggest issue this game will face when it is ready is if enough people have been turned away from trying it too early or not. Honestly, the game should be an early access game on steam right now.
Nice to see Haven relatively empty compared to the mainland, all this while I thought most players were on Haven. There are several hundred instances of Haven if I recall correctly, though you can instantly teleport to other instances if your friends are on a different instance. Once on the mainland however, there are no instances and the real game begins. Thanks for this video, gave me good laughs here and there. Hope you're having fun. Feel free to add my character Leorias to your friends list if you need someone to tame a horse, craft a spear, Tindremic Guard armour or shield. I'm a solo player myself, it can be hard at times but not as difficult once you've gotten things up and running and can be quite rewarding. Also, all those players in town looking at you after you emerged from the Fabernum sewers was likely due to the gear owner you stole from telling his friends and guildmates about you. The game's one character system means your actions stay with you long after your criminal status wears off. Those players who heard about you will now remember what you did.
@@CHRISTOSANESTI2023 Agreed, that is why many times when I meet other heavily armed players deep inside dungeons or in the wild we are careful not to provoke unnecessary fights that could damage our reputation with their friends or the rest of the community. Only those who intentionally play as murderers will rpk on sight.
@@CHRISTOSANESTI2023 I would recommend playing with a group of friends you know and trust. If you don't know anyone at the start, it's perfectly viable to learn things on your own at your own pace even if it may be more tedious and difficult.
Loved the vid! I've played about 400-ish hours in MO2 recently, and I agree with a lot of your points. I love the game though, my friends and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. The only thing I'd like to add is that the game is designed to be played in groups, if your plan is to solo the whole game you may want to rethink things lol.
I lauged my fuckkin' ass off (for real) when you said this most immersive MMORPG game are claiming their title with floating buffalo 🤣🤣🤣. Nice vid btw :D
Always love your videos. I was gifted this game but admit I've found it intimidating so far. Your blending of storytelling + information is top notch. Absolutely one of my favorite MMO creators on this platform.
It's a great game. I also got mine gifted to me. The only thing is, as said in the video, if you're soloing it's a horrible time. This is a game where you *need* to be in a guild or group to deter people from murdering you. The issue currently is there's little to no guards in the game even in lawful places. To the point it's like the second you leave town you're in a lawless wasteland. That coupled with the veteran players being bored and just murdering lesser equipped people creates such a toxic environment that most new players leave Haven, get murdered, and just quit.
@@CandysChannel You could "join" through a Discord or something sure. Then when you get into the game officially join in game. You start the game on a tutorial island where you can learn the game and get most skills up before going to the mainland. On the island PvP is disabled except for duels.
After not playing this game for months due to the terrible players me and a friend decided to give it another try only to be murdered mulyiple times while trying to get started this has probably been one of the worst experiences attempting to play any game that i have ever had you actually cannot play this game unless you have a guide telling you what to do and protecting you or if you're alright losing any progress you are lucky enough to make over and over again i genuinely think this player base is going to run this game into the ground
ahahahahaha let me gues) u ask about best town to live and go to fabernum ? or meduly? try to play in MohKi or Vadda u never get ganked only Krankone live on Vadda so u a free to explore
The lack of resets is what kills it for me, just like Conan. I want to enjoy a game like this, but coming into a server where, in the case of Conan, not only is one faction geared to the teeth, but damn near rules the entire server, always kills it for me. I'm a solo player, due to my own schedule, and utter distaste of people, so, just going in with a group of friends is a bit rough.
Remember, players come but also go. Even big established guilds can get bored and move on. This brings them effectively out of the picture, and allows others to compete. That said, as another poster here said, the map is so big, that's it's really hard to dominate the whole thing.
Gear is consumable in this game. It's always changing hands or dura cycles it out of the game. putting together a full steel set is no big deal or if you know where to go you can simply farm up a bit of reptile
Your gripe with Conan is your own fault really. When browsing for a server you can see how 'old' the server is. If you're joining something that's been around for a while you know what you're getting into. Complaining about that is just showing your ignorance. As for MO2, a reset isn't necessary whatsoever. If you're a solo player the game is going to be much harder for you, but still playable. Just get yourself established and get some kind of word of mouth. If people start to recognize you, they will change how they feel about murdering you.
This game should just be titled: High School Online. The “sandbox” is built to cater to those individuals whose social development started and ended in high school.
nice vid man. I've been playing mo2 for a few weeks. It's super janky on par with an alpha game but with enough content to keep you busy for 1000+ hrs. This game is best played with friends whether they are you guild mates or just friends you make by spending time in towns.
@@detomeki7664 You're looking at an MMO (Massively *Multiplayer* Online) and get mad saying it's a bad game when someone says it's a game you need to play with others? Why is this a thing nowadays? People get mad when their MMO actually has focuses on playing with other people..
@@Eventide215 are you okay cuz I said nothing of being anti social lol. I said anything can be fun with friends, like I’ve played a lot of dogshit games that were great with the homies, doesn’t make em good games just means we were able to make the best of it.
If only pvp was more organized. For example, guild vs guild who have declared war with each other. Fighting over territory so then you can opt in to fight full loot wars, while still having the option to just enjoy the game pve. It looks like a cool game with a nice world and mechanics to explore but i just dont have the time or patience for full loot. I am patiently waiting for a game similar to this but with more protections for pve players.
Great video, one thing that's truly unfortunate about MO2 is the developers have been very hostile towards any sort of negative feedback. When the game first released, there were waves of hundreds of bans from their discord, reddit groups, website forums etc just for people who were asking about queue times and such. I like crafting and selling my items, I played MO1 for a long time and had hope for MO2. They seem to have just taken MO1 gave it better graphics and made it worse in every other way. The fact they want to charge $15 a month for this product that's in pre-alpha at best is insulting to the consumers tbh.
Another epic video my friend! I tell you what, I felt the anxiety and stress when you were hiding in the sewers 😂 It seems like there is potential within this game but hearing that the world was a bit static and not a whole lot of story to bite into I personally would find it hard to stick around in a game like this over a long period of time.
you literally make your own story, that's the point of it. MO2 is the first game in ages which gives me the feeling of adventure and making an experience (last one was DFO)
@@KaisersGB cannon to it's lore? hearing this expression for the first time excuse me , but If I get it right u think that lore in this game even matters enough to be canoning something :d lore is mostly irrelevant in mortal bc not what the game tells you matters. But what other players , your house neighbors , clan members, guild or alliance leaders , enemies ... and so on tell you, does. there's always news when you login, or return after a temporary break when months and years are passing by in games like these (1 single server, full loot, local banking, alliance politics, siege warfare, small scale raids on enemies etc) , there actually is valuable and entertaining player made lore to be known .
@@sehrgrossesglied5000 oh ok, I need to adjust my mindset a bit when it comes to this for mortal. I appreciate the breakdown on this has cleared things up for me now 😄
Honestly such a good video! As someone who’s put a fair bit of time in, explored about 90% of the massive map, and most end game dungeons, there’s something I’d like to add: VoIP is gold in this game. The hilarious role playing and player driven side quests make it. You need to come in expecting to interact openly with other people, otherwise you won’t have fun. Additionally, this is a PVP game first and PVE second. Don’t expect to be able to just farm and merch your way to lots of money. You can, and guilds do, but the game becomes exponentially more fun when you embrace the cold-hearted pvp massacre that is waiting around every corner. Learn to pvp, be ready to fight everyone, and you’ll have a good time
Question...Why don't you have MORE SUBSCRIBERS? You deserve so much more than you have and I hope you'll grow to be 10X the size you are now, at least.
Mo2 is lit; the drama and stories that will unfold between guilds when we actually get territory control should be amazing … it’s a hard game to keep your friends playing but joining a guild is addictive , as you will soon find yourself only playing MO if you join a guild but alone you will most likely quit very quickly . In MO1 we had a long + rich history of all sorts of wars , drama, espionage and sieges in game and on message boards (which was half the fun , recounting battles and seeing who was willing to lie to cover up their loss and help their hubris) until MO1 was “abandoned” for lack of a better term and the forums were wiped due to a number of eff ups on star vaults side (indie devs should always protect their games with trusted anti cheat and should never link account databases with real life info like SV did) . This game and it’s genre definitely has potential to be the future of mainstream gaming (or at least bigger than the small niche it fills now) the question is how do they get the normies interested in these types of games when they can’t just press a button to respawn with all their gear , without ruining the original vision of the game ; which ultimately makes it so gritty and addictive. We need more first person full loot MMOs is all I’m saying 😅
@@SapphosSails coming in a month or two , it allows guilds to tax the players in the area and will be linked with a number of NPC provided benefits . Also it creates a power struggle which enables tons of pvp .

yeah I played this back when MO1 was out for yeeears and MO2 was such a hype for me but sheez the grapes can get sour. Your review is spot on and such a pitty about the lack of "order" for a new player to show interest only to get killed continuously even being naked. There are a bit of immature players in the game. I have a ton of good memories in the game and it can be so much fun, yet you can pretty much forget about seeing certain places if you do not have a large group of people that you play with and usually, you need to play like they want you to play and keep track of politics.
I like the idea of these games alot more than I like playing them, I played them in the past when I had way too much free time but today I just cannot be bothered. Dark and Darker is looking great and I do enjoy me some Tarkov.
Yup Dark and Darker hit this same exact feeling but with instant menus, quick matchmaking, simple but compelling combat, and the classic DND feeling. 10/10 game for me.
The game itself is not as bad as it may seem at times when you play it. I played MO2 for about 300+ Hours with a very small group of friends, simply because soloing from the beginning requires you to be a masochist, and we avoided PvP as much as it was possible. The "Problem" with the game is the core idea of an hardcore open world full loot pvp focussed game that is set in a persistent world. Even within the first week after lanch you could feel the snowballing of zerg guilds just running down everything because they have more people and thus resetting the progress of others while rarely dying themself. Immagine playing LoL, but instead of games taking 30-45 Minutes at best its just one continuous game. Those who play the most or with the largest group (admittedly you at least need some amout of skill even with large groups) just snowball out of control and new players will never even have a chance to get to the same level, except for when they join them. As sad as it is, because the game would have been a massive success as an PvE focussed game with limited consensual PvP, MO2 will just vanish in the abyss of failed games exactly like its predecessor MO1... which is literally just the same game but with bad graphics.
I know your review was less than ecstatic, but man if I could afford this I would totally play it for the exploration value alone. I didn't know games of this scale even existed!
My dreamed videogame would be a fantasy medieval game where you can build your kingdom or empire and have diplomatic relations with other nations of another players, trade with them or fight them in wars, with world events and stuff to make everything more interesting. That's a game I would like to try.
this is a great video its crazy this is what josh strife plays said that games like this always turns out the higher players killing off the population and then the game ends up dying bc no one wants to try it
that is only if the game has fast travel and the godtier players can be all over the map in no time. MO2 map is really huge , offers a lot of quiet space with often very very low risk . only thing u have to bring is courage to explore and find out which areas are safe and which are not ;)
PS josh strife shows his non existent understanding of what's behind full loot games. especially if the map is ultra big + no fast travel . his strong opinion seems worthless clickbait
Nailed the main issues and the empty vibe of the game. Yet, there are wondrous moments where other players create an organic and surreal experience you wish happened more often.
How do you know you found a special YTer? When you cant wait to click that like and sub buttons after the video ends! You are a funny geezer mate! I love your special brand of brit humor. Gonna binge your vids quite a bit! XD GG
Fantastic video. As a massive DayZ fan, I’d love to see you add it to your list of full loot PvP games and I’d love to see your video take on it. If you need some server recommendations: the Dayone, Zero, and Green Hell servers are all great.
I've always wanted to try DayZ but I always hear how absolutely terrible and toxic the community is.. I'd be playing it alone or *possibly* with one friend if I could talk him into it.. so it sounds like it'd just be a miserable time. However, I do love the gameplay and mechanics of DayZ.
@@Eventide215 I've played around 1000hrs exclusively solo. The only time I run with people is the people I meet in game. I've made more friends, and had more laughs playing DayZ than anything else I've ever done. Seriously. That reputation is from console, official servers (which are not moderated at all), and DayZ youtubers that do clickbait "Server admin DESTROYS cheater" (LUL) content. Are you going to die? Yes. A lot. But if you play effectively moderated community servers, like the one's I've suggested, you won't be dealing with blatantly toxic people (ie hate speech, etc). The struggle and difficulty of the game is the part of the charm, and what makes git'n gud so rewarding. There are a lot of people that will kill you and take all your loots if they know you're new, BUT there are also just as many people like me that are PUMPED to sherpa new players. It goes on sale all the time. Try it, say hi to people, put yourself out there, die a bunch. I promise, if you play the servers I suggested (except maybe the Zero servers, looking back now it's pretty KOS-y over there. Buncha brutal savages haha), and give it a real chance you will find a lot of laughs and a SUPER welcoming, warm, and supportive community. That's been my experience at least. Either way, love the vids. Keep up the great work!
@@infinityfabrik Another part of my issue is I have pretty bad social anxiety. Which more than likely will get me killed and too nervous to do much lol. I've had similar experiences on Rust. Great game but the community can be.. horrible to say the least. There are some good servers though. Whenever I get jumped by multiple people, or talked to on mic with hate speech and such I suddenly get tons of anxiety and makes me almost quit the game entirely. So what I've been told about DayZ is based on my anxiety. If I could find a group of friends to play it with I'd likely enjoy it though. The issue is nearly all of them just say it's toxic and don't bother to look into it at all.
how is it that I just found you're channel like 5 days ago I've been watching you're video's since then they are funny. wish I found it when you first started
Damn that looks awesome! Why have I never heard of it? It gives me major Everquest 1 vibes, not sure why, but I think because of how grim-dark and high fantasy the aesthetics are and how serious, deep and punishing the characters and world seem. (Yes, EQ1 was exactly like that by the standards back then.)
I know it breaks immersion a bit, but I really wish these games would go back to the tried and true mechanic of a full loot AREA that has high value stuff instead of a 100% or 0% full loot world.
Good video and worth a Subscribe. For me this pretty much sums up what I thought MO2 would be like, its a shame as if they added more pve and optional pvp it might garner more popularity. But sadly once subscriptions come in i can see the already low player base lower to that of obscurity, here is hoping one day someone manages a good balance of pve/pvp and make a genuinely decent mmo.
That's why they've been looking into other methods beside a subscription. They have realized if they turn that on like 75% of the player base is going to quit. I'd be fine with other forms of monetization.. like small cosmetic pets, cosmetics for your house/stronghold, etc.
@@Eventide215 I don't think the game could survive with other methods. It doesn't have New World's playerbase. But they will most probably add the sub and the game will die. Because they have to do something.
@@CandysChannel They can't add skins that change your physical appearance (at least outside of town) because of PvP. You don't want to fight someone wearing heavy armor but it looks like clothes. They could do things like cosmetics for pets though.

This is my suggestion to any noob, as someone who played the original Mortal Online: Make friends fast. Get in a clan if possible. Day one in MO1, in Tindrem, I got to talking and ended up having a clan and a good network of contacts. Makes the game more enjoyable when you have people on your side, even if you mostly play solo. Being a solo without any contacts is not going to go well for most people.
What you described about other players wanting to make u quit , I can Not confirm. The vast majority of players I Met is decent. Also depends in region of the map you play - some are in the hands of Idiots;)
sounds like you live in haven then bud lol, 600+ hours, have spent atleast 1 week or more in each town, they're either dead towns or full of dickheads lmao
You should try out Deepwoken. It’s a game on Roblox- but hear me out, the game is actually extremely well made and quite fun and unique. It’s like the better executed version of this game (imo).
Mortal online should be played in a guild. There should be dragons, rescue missions, town raids, underground raids and others. A good campaign with branching story lines would be good.
I tried this when it first drop on steam with donation keys, it was fun exploring the towns with friends and gathering mats while fighting other groups of player off. But that’s where it ended, spent like 1 hour riding a horse just to get from one side of the map to the other side and for that full hour I saw like a hand full of npc, takes too long to do stuff alone and got boring quick solo

The only problem is none of my friends like mmos 😢
@n_ePiPen damn u need new friends 😂
Lol, jk you'll meet ppl in this game. Just dont join a shitter guild right off the bat or youre gonna have a bad time when u try to do anything solo

So if you had 1 good spiritist he could get friends books or even sell on market/ebay.
that sounds insane, is there video footage / other documentation of it online? wasn't able to find much
@@sandcasino Their names were Ptetodactyl and Buda. Two of the most hated Spiritists in Mortal online that got the whole spell line nerfed forever.

@@alreawon1212 A system like for honor could work, there you could hold off multiple enemies if your good and sometimes even kill them.
I had that same feeling playing New World. besides all the copy/paste areas, mobs and quests the entire world just feels dead.

I agree. Love the idea. Hope it reaches its potential
Ive only played a little but it was pretty exciting just travelling from one town to the next. Its not just the players you have to worry about but some of the mobs are an actual threat unlike some mmorpgs.
VETERAN CASTER NOOOOO

I really like the idea of this game, i would most likely just work as a bodyguard for new players by the end though because of how hard it is to start
Pretty much a .Hack experience.
Of course you would.
What a great idea! Be paid to be a bodyguard!
Dropped this game after 300h, got some amazing memories from playing it and got my money’s worth of enjoyment, but with the game’s current state, there is too little to do once you’ve leveled your skills.. Aimless PvP can only do so much.
Idk it doesn’t feel like a game that has nothing to do I feel like there is always something you can do in this game that is what brings me to it
True. This game would need an endless progression like BDO. Look how BDO is still alive after all the years.
Halloween Mike Tyson and Walmart Sasquatch. I hope you’re pitching this to HBO as a seven season, buddy film meets mystery/horror/boxing epic
Yea so that pitch didn't work they want more cowbell
Mortal Online 2 is the same company who took money for Mortal Online and did not deliver, then abandoned the game and the customers who funded it.

Most if not all "create your own adventure, open world pvp" games fail horribly. They don't personally attract me in any way.
In MO1 did having mentalism skill enable solo mages to avoid being ganked?
Tbh I like the fact your reputation sticks even when the criminal tag wears off
@@CHRISTOSANESTI2023 Agreed, that is why many times when I meet other heavily armed players deep inside dungeons or in the wild we are careful not to provoke unnecessary fights that could damage our reputation with their friends or the rest of the community.
Yea, that's why this game will die and is DOA.
Only a very small fraction of players going into games with gangs like attitude.

@@Eventide215 Is it possible to join a guild to get help even before starting the game?

The lack of resets is what kills it for me, just like Conan. I want to enjoy a game like this, but coming into a server where, in the case of Conan, not only is one faction geared to the teeth, but damn near rules the entire server, always kills it for me. I'm a solo player, due to my own schedule, and utter distaste of people, so, just going in with a group of friends is a bit rough.
Well... there's not a single guild that just owns the map. Honestly not even really possible given the scale.
You sound just like me lol that’s my problem as well
Your gripe with Conan is your own fault really.
The players in these games are their own worst enemy.

VoIP is gold in this game.
As a solo player, this game was pretty annoying. Few players attack you and you can't do shit. Numbers matter, not skill.

Another fun vid! :D
This game is definitely not my cup of tea, but visually pretty. A pity the towns are so barren. Lost opportunity there.
Absolutely loved the video! You nailed so many things about this game that I’m sure we’ve all experienced!!
As sad as it is, because the game would have been a massive success as an PvE focussed game with limited consensual PvP, MO2 will just vanish in the abyss of failed games exactly like its predecessor MO1... which is literally just the same game but with bad graphics.
u dont need gold for training melee. u dont need 20man for clamins some teeretory with POI and farm them. they cant reset u progress if u make it
The worse thing is the never ending queue because the devs thought it would be a good idea to run the game on only a single server
Full loot PvP...i encountered that in Ultima Online when i was a teenager. Never again. Thats just another way yo say: Bullies or Griefer heaven.

Fantastic video. As a massive DayZ fan, I’d love to see you add it to your list of full loot PvP games and I’d love to see your video take on it. If you need some server recommendations: the Dayone, Zero, and Green Hell servers are all great.
Have played a fair amount ever since the mod. Some great times :)
12:00 i do that more than i would care to admit -.-
Some real baron cells that roam servers never cease to amaze me..
Started Playing 2 days ago. Its a grind to learn but now that i have a understanding of it , its got a lot of potential.
how is it that I just found you're channel like 5 days ago I've been watching you're video's since then they are funny. wish I found it when you first started
No way you "only" have 30 k subs. Great video!
Agree, should have at least four times that number.
No full loot pvp game will survive if the killing of new players is not punished hard or just not allowed.
Why can’t add they skins, cosmetics for pets etc etc?
@@CandysChannel They can't add skins that change your physical appearance (at least outside of town) because of PvP. You don't want to fight someone wearing heavy armor but it looks like clothes. They could do things like cosmetics for pets though.
Will you consider doing a video on a private server run game like warhammer return of the reckoning or dragon ball online global?
im not even 2 minutes into the video and i have laughed multiple times. Bravo! please keep making them.( I 100% subscribed... Fantastic! )
Remember we were here before you become huge 🔥
Only a matter of time I suspect😀
This game looked amazing, so I picked it up a while back. As soon as I saw a couple players spinning around like crazy while winding up their attacks, I Alt-F4'd, uninstalled, and got a refund. That shit is why I stopped playing Chivalry lol.
Chivalry mason knight messer spinning was awful.
Chivalry mason knight with maul was hilarious.
subscription wont come "soon" prolly not for atleast 6-12 months. great video otherwise :D loved it! got 2k hours in the game already and i 100% agree its not for everyone. but its definetly worth a try! i know many that has at first seen the game as a yanky, slow and buggy game but after they've went into it and given it a fair shot they've started to love it and are now addicted :D. and yes playing solo will be hard at first, the game isnt really ment to be played solo. but its not impossible! there are alot of players that do play it solo.
was pretty excited for it, pre-purchased several copies for myself and friends.. we couldnt even get in when it launched.. even tho mister henrik swore it could hold 100k people... then the mirror'd shards came around.. glad its slowly working out its issues.. im sure it'll be done before star citizen.
The line where you stated: self claimed most immersive mmorpg experience. clip to floating cow... earned that instant like had my legit crying 🤣🤣
This game would be so much better without the brutal PVP where nerds with no life whatsoever kills your constantly while you try to enjoy the game casually.
thank you so much for this entertaining video
would love another one similar
maybe with some group content in the game? like you said a guild could make it more fun, so showing that part of the game would be lovely
Ahahahaha I love this review. This format is so amazingly entertaining! You get a big fat like sir!
Looks great. I would actually play it without full pvp
When you join a guild the whole dynamic of this game changes and it’s amazing the boss fights are incredible also the rewards of gathering materials and safely transporting gold from town to town is amazing I have sadly quit this game do to my addiction to tarkov but it truly one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had once I was fully into the game and leveled
Oh wow. To play a game you need to find 10+ people before playing to succeed. Really a winning game making formula...
This game will be abandoned in a year or two.
@@McDinglefart_69 This is my first time discovering this game, but that sounds pretty normal for an MMO. MMOs are not singleplayer games. You could never run a dungeon or a raid in WoW by yourself
@@rajangkong1243 thats why they have raid queues unlike this game forcing you to have to join a guild. It's pretty stupid imo WoW does mmo way better than this.
@@lance0234 In the golden age of mmos, wow did just fine without a raid finder
this is hilarious, ur commentary is golden, i don't even play the game and I'm not going to, I was just high af last night and today I remembered laughing to this video so came back o sub
This is my suggestion to any noob, as someone who played the original Mortal Online:
Make friends fast.
Tried getting into it when MO2 first dropped.
Couldn’t even leave the tutorial island because of the queues
This game put a dent in my soul back when I played it's Beta in 2020/2021
Mortal online should be played in a guild. There should be dragons, rescue missions, town raids, underground raids and others. A good campaign with branching story lines would be good.
One of the best reviews i've watched lately. Great narration!
Fair Critiques, great video. Welcome to Mortal, you'll be back ;)
I tried this when it first drop on steam with donation keys, it was fun exploring the towns with friends and gathering mats while fighting other groups of player off. But that’s where it ended, spent like 1 hour riding a horse just to get from one side of the map to the other side and for that full hour I saw like a hand full of npc, takes too long to do stuff alone and got boring quick solo
Epic video bro! WELL DONE! Funny AF!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤗🤗🤗🤗
