Okay, you got me. I'm tearing up from this. Jon was MY Doctor, the first one I ever saw. Living in Canada we only saw Doctor Who on American PBS stations so wew were always a few years behind so I can remember Watching Jon from start to finish being broadcast as if it were new when I was two years old in 1976. Made me fall in love with the series and I'm still a whovian to this day. Thank you.
In Ontario, you could see Doctor Who on TVO. The first episodes I saw were also Jon Pertwee. Such a talent! They took a chance hiring an actor so well known for comedy roles, but they must have been over the moon when they saw the results.

The 3rd Doctor set the groundwork for so much of the later series. The master was introduced with him and ended up being the last villain of the classic series.

If I'm not mistaken, we are just nine seasons away from having a complete set! Oh, when the day comes when we have all of Classic Who on Blu Ray. Believe me, I know it will take a while, with the lost episodes of Seasons 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I'm hoping the next season will be 21. That way, we have all of the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors in a row!
Yep 9. Season 21 is the safe bet for the new boxset as they seem to have an order and Davison’s last boxset was back in 2023 so they’ll probably finish him up before then finishing up with Tom Baker & Jon Pertwee. Like you said the Black & White boxsets will take more time due to the missing episodes but hopefully by the time they get to them we’ll have more animations done to fill in the gaps (Season 6 is only missing The Space Pirates & Season 5 The Wheel in Space so hopefully they get prioritised so we can get a Troughton boxset soon).
