Closing the card does not delete the history, it just wont age further. Accounts closed in good standing may stay on your credit report for up to 10 years, which generally helps your credit score.
Your vids have helped me build my credit, I started when I turned 21 with little to no credit. Now 22 and I have the sapphire preferred, I use it as my daily card. Love it! I've jumped my credit almost 100 points, since I started the grind!
Bro that credit card book is literally inspiration to me man. I used to be a cash guy, buy i literally fell in love with building credit. And i also keep a $0 balance at statement too!
I have a question. Say I have a 500 hundred limit and I spend 250 of it but I pay it back as soon as it's reported on my bank app and before the due date. what would be marked on my credit for utilization? Would it be 50% or 0% percent?
Can you please talk about how to get credit card while being as teenager my parents have bad credit scores. What should I do? I want to go to credit card so I can get a business credit card because I'm starting my business.
I just got my ITIN and being added as an authorized user on an old chase freedom credit card, how long will it take to start seeing changes on my credit score ?
The belief that you should keep cards you don't need or want because of age is a fallacy because closed accounts stay on your credit report for ten years and continue to age. The only aspect this may hurt is your amount of available credit or utilization and this can be easily fixed by proper planning before closing.
Trying to get two different loans from 2 different companies at around the same time, how long do I have before the 1st hard inquiry shows up on my credit report? trying to get them both before one of the inquiry’s shows up.
I like this video but I don’t agree with not closing a card if you don’t use it. A lot of people close accounts they aren’t using. It stays on a credit report for 10 years & continues to age despite being closed. It’s okay to close accounts. Don’t keep it open if you aren’t seeing any value in it.
I always paid my balance completely before they reported to the credit bureaus. After awhile my credit score dropped over 15 points 😢 Do you think it's because it looked like I wasn't using my credit cards? Do u have any suggestions on how to bring my credit score back up again? Thanks!

Ok so if your using 40% of your 10k credit line that will hurt your credit because that’s a high credit utilization. The lowers the better, 1%-20%. Paying the minimum payment WILL NOT further damage your credit. A minimum payment is better than no payment at all. If you want to carry a high balance on your cards get a charge card not a credit card. charge cards high balances don’t effect your credit score, just your payments.
If someone piggybacks off me and their score goes up, does mine go down? (Hypothetical Example: If I'm at 825 and they are at 678, they piggy back and go up to 720 does my score go to 793?)

It is very important to keep a good credit-score, usually above 700, to qualify for a lease or any other lending decision.

if it’s not between statement due date and the statement reporting date you can spend as much as you want and it won’t be reported

If someone puts you as an authorized user and your score sucks, will that drop their score??
Yes.

Should you unfreeze your credit score during the holidays so credit card companies can send you good offers via email or mail?
You sometimes get them anyway. Those CRAs sell it anyway
Keeping it locked prevents unwanted users from accessing and opening credit accounts in your name without your authorization

No such thing as a credit bureau they are credit reporting agencies
Stellarfi vs BILT? Do they give the cash back option too like BILT does?
Great 👍 information Thank you

Does adding my kids as authorized users on my credit card kick start their credit history?
@@SomberCarlo what if dont use that specific card that often. I had it open for a long time but don’t use it as much.
It still will count on their history as long as you keep them on there and you keep the card open
What can you do about charge offs?
Dispute or wait til they fall off.
When using the 40% of the 10k.. does it damage your credit to only pay the minimum statement or should it be fully paid off monthly.

Hey Brian can you do a credit card review on the Xbox Mastercard?
If they close it on their own, that shouldn't hurt your credit score. Do you agree?
