Some of the pieces were heavy enough getting them onto the up-right splitter would still be difficult. I didn't like raising and lowering the splitter - just a hassle to me. I no longer have that splitter. Now I have a 4290 Split-fire with a hydraulic log lift.
Build a cover over the filter & hoses so when a large piece falls & hits them they will not break? I believe you should have been on the other side of the machine to finish the splitting, that way you could throw the pieces into the wheelbarrow without turning around????
I was moving from side-to-side. In the past, I always stood on the engine side. Also, the wheel barrow was a little behind me as that seemed best for when it got full. However, having it in front instead of behind is good advice.
why not stand-up splitter instead of using lift
