I just searched up the plot of the story on wiki and damn I get what you're trying to say, it's like the music is just some background noise to the stuff that goes on in that story, it actually goes with it. Very Dystopian Like
Yes, Current joys! some songs are.....don't be consumed (the end really drives it home), Life Is beautiful, Snow, and No Words.. these songs are softer but still so mesmerizing and deeply emotional Horse Jumper Of love is great too! that whole album they have (at this moment in time) is beautiful they weave in and out this heavy distorted looped tasty goodness were here for throughout the whole album. Their songs that really fall under this feeling are July 5th, and I want to paint Horses.. a more sophisticated route is William Basinski's Disintegration loops especially dlp1.1 ~ truly haunting, melancholy and beautiful.
