I’ve had great results, or at least great fun, using the wogglebug’s PLL as a pitch-to-cv converter (which I learned from one of Walker’s office hours videos.) Really nice sounds out of the spectraphon and the shakuhachi sounds great.
Thanks for sharing. Please note that any form of human interaction can bring amazing life to a patch. The Doepfer Theremin controller is super affordable and it will bring you magnetic CV. I am going to try that too!
the first couple of months i bought disting ex, i really wanted to throw the module out of the window, because of its bugs, noices and all the other problems. i changed the sd card in a pro one and in the mean time after bunch of updates OS did, this module is so powerful as it gets. still a bit complex, but i can't imagine my system without it. my fav mode is the looper. i own 2 now :)
I still don't understand why the MS20s external signal processor does not exist as a eurorack module, with all the gazillions of modules there are, i absolutely love that for its pitch to voltage thing, and BECAUSE it does not track correctly and does weird things when you change levels and the filter settings.
Actually, there is such a module from Doepfer, I believe. Lemme look real quick... *time passes* ... ah, yes... the A-196 PLL *might* be what you're looking for. It's very experimental. Dieter Doepfer seemingly also works on a "real" pitch-to-CV converter named A-195-1, but it's apparently not ready yet.
@@electricdawn2258 I tried the Doepfer PLL, could not get anything useful out of it, and those real pitch to cv converters like the Sonicsmith ConVertor E1 are for actually playing an instrument so they (try to) track correctly which is not what i want to use. Nothing like running a drumloop or actually anything through the MS20s ESP and play with what the Pitch to voltage puts out. Maybe i buy a scond K2.
your demos are great (often gobsmackingly stellar) and incredibly inspirational!
Thanks for sharing this. I often have doubts if a patch is worth sharing. This was one of them.
wonderful to see how you unpack and share your thinking as you go. more people should do that.
I too produce this musical genre and ... I only discovered your channel now ... I love this strong experimentalism

Thanks so much for reminding me! I am going to check that out. It would be amazing to refresh that feature because I know too little about that.
Another way to do that is to use the Zoia Euroburo. It has a pitch detector module that analise whatever audio you throw at it, live or recorded.
Thanks for sharing. I've seriously underused the Zoia so far. Having too much gear isn't always a blessing.
Absolutely love this. It's really what I'd love to do.... but can't. But I do get inspiration from your jams. At least that's that. 😉

Thanks for the tip, I'll replace the cheap card with a real one :). Also does wonders for my Nebulae and Morphagene.

@@electricdawn2258 Thanks for sharing. I love it when an experiment of mine turns into a community effort where we all share our tips and tricks!
