Please please please make videos like the one in the beginning with that music. The old looking footage and the lat an long, footage and views were making me drool, I’m stoned and walked across this video and it was amazing. Please make just driving videos with that footage and music and post it!!! So would watch it. Absolutely awesome.

Oh man, great to hear that you liked the intro! The scenery around Pagosa Springs in the backcountry is second to none. I try to mix up the styles of our videos so you will see the road cam here and there. I have the lat/long intentionally showing so you will know exactly where to go to enjoy for yourself some day. I am totally honored to know that our video is cool to watch while stoned! I hope you check out some of our other videos. Take care!

@@VanLifeByTheRiver thank you for that reply. That’s awesome, what camera did you use in that road footage and is there a filter on to make it look dusty? How was able to pick up mph and lat and long? I have checked out your videos as well, thank you! 🤙🏻

@@SophiaWorks our road footage with lat/long info is shot by the actual dash cam that connects to our Kenwood aftermarket radio/navigation system that was installed to replace the factory stereo. You can see the model number of the dash cam alongside the data displayed at the bottom. As far as the “dust”, well that is actual dust on the windshield. Ha ha! I shoot things as they are as they happen. We don’t go overboard prettying up our videos. Pretty much what you see is what is actually happening. This IS real van life. I highly recommend it!

Thank you! I shot a very in depth video of the campground ala “Dee and Lee style”. Unfortunately, our Rode Wireless Go/GoPro Hero 8 combination let us down again and we have no audio. I could recover the audio but extremely labor intensive to do. We only have one more video coming up before we end our one year project of our TH-cam channel. It was so much fun to do and creating our “silly stupid films” is a love of mine. Yes, we will have new videos here and there but our standard weekly postings will fade away. Such a great experience!

@@deeandleeintheirrv1299 thank you for the kind words. Never fear, we will always be here creating our silly videos. We set out on an adventurous goal to create an average of one video a week for one year. We set out to do this without being an instructional oriented channel which makes it particularly challenging. We did do a couple how to videos about the van that people were dying to know about. The focal point of people’s attention has always been how we carry the kayaks. We poked fun (in our own way) at the rigid formula of typical van life channels such as using the old reliable cooking segments, which people absolutely love. We did the ASMR chopping thing and sizzling pan closeups not as a homage to the other channels, but rather to lightly mock them for their predictable repetition. We made plenty fun of ourselves in multiple videos including our trailer just to keep it real and stay humble. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to show honest van life our way, not suck up to the algorithm, and just plain have fun. Let’s be honest, a successful and popular TH-cam channel is work. Hard grueling work that requires absolute dedication and total focus on achieving that success. We never set out to create a popular channel. We only set out to honestly film our daily adventures for ourselves, but we invited everyone to come along with us who wanted to. We will continue to do that but at a much less steady pace as our one year experiment and self challenge ends with 52 episodes and our trailer.
