First of all, the Retail Version has other weather wich make the look more correct, second the sun is shining so it is lighting and reflecting on their skins wich is realistic, thied the E3 version looks dark and less detailed.

Wow I recently replayed uncharted 4 and uncharted lost legacy on a 4K QLED UHD 65inch tv and I’m mind blown. Everything even real life looks like shit now..The game is absolutely beautiful in every way. Everything about it is so so so good.
The aliasing is gone completely, the dof effects are high-quality and quite subtle and the motion blur too seems more accurate and natural (not just more), skin shaders improved. It's great to see we've moved beyond the point where tech is squeezed for the most detail possible, artistry has moved to the fore and it's recognised that sometimes we get a more convincing effect from having less detail or 'pop' in a scene.
The only thing I don't like about this game is the grain filter that they added. I think it's the same filter they put in The last of us. It keeps the game from looking as sharp as it should be.

I don't notice downgrade or upgrade really. But there were changes. Some thing that probably looks more natural but not to the untrained eye. That motion Blur is one thing that got a noticeable improvement.
These Xbox Fanboys really got alot of time on their hands. The Retail version normally looks slightly different from the E3 Demo on most games. As for this video I see a difference but not so much to make such a spectacle and besides in most instances the Retail version looks even better than the E3 Demo, SMH ....

I almost like the more realistic-feeling lighting in the E3 demo. But the final game definitely has a more unique look that stays consistent with the other Madagascar levels.

both looks great, first thought the older version is better but realized the E3 was taking itself in to a super quality/cg heavy look whereas the retail has some cinematic upgrades like motion blur, contrast, details here and there, blur focus, depth of field adjusted blurs... even if there was a hint of downgrade still they managed to distribute the power of the graphics throughout the game
That infamous yellow filter can also be seen in this game, the same thing happened whey they downgraded, Witcher 3, Spiderman, Horizon ZD and other, their lighting gets that yellowish filter to it.
Don't get me wrong but the shadows in the retail version has more jaggies especially during the jungle part... Also the water splash effect is also irregular....

I think it's pretty obvious this segment was shown because it was almost finished all the way back at E3. The only real differences are colour grading / lighting, and a slightly muddier water.
I remember watching E3 and thinking DUDE! THIS LOOKS RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. Little did I know that the PS4 version would look far better. Thank you Naughty Dog, that's why you're on my list of trusted devs.
They changed that to fit the time of the day they went searching for the towers or else it would have some dumb continuity with " you're near a damn volcano far from a city spending the entire day searching for the treasure and still be the same time of day once you head back to the city"

I don't notice downgrade or upgrade really. But there were changes. Some thing that probably looks more natural but not to the untrained eye. That motion Blur is one thing that got a noticeable improvement.

These Xbox Fanboys really got alot of time on their hands. The Retail version normally looks slightly different from the E3 Demo on most games. As for this video I see a difference but not so much to make such a spectacle and besides in most instances the Retail version looks even better than the E3 Demo, SMH ....

I don't see how people are saying that the retail version is upgraded. They're extremely similar, but there's no doubt that there's just a bit more detail in the E3 gameplay, especially in the character models.
E3 version has more natural collors. everything else is the same. except drake's shirt. its dirty
e3 has more vibrant colors but less realistic, there's an in game setting for the e3 pallet if you prefer it.

I can't believe you people still believe there was no downgrade, basically everything looks worse in the retail version, albeit more colorful. Shadow detail and lightning took a big hit.
The lighting, facial models and textures look FAR better in the retail , no amount of bitching will change that fact

It's just logic, right? They get the last year time and improve upon it. Ubisoft in the other hand gets the shortcut of cutting features and shrinking textures instead of improving performance to maintain the original vision.

The lighting changed considerably, but not in a bad way, just int he way that the lighting is just different.
I almost like the more realistic-feeling lighting in the E3 demo. But the final game definitely has a more unique look that stays consistent with the other Madagascar levels.

I know this is an old comment but damn how can someone be so dumb when so many tech analyses show plainly that the retail version is doing much more and with more detail than the 2015 demo.
both looks great, first thought the older version is better but realized the E3 was taking itself in to a super quality/cg heavy look whereas the retail has some cinematic upgrades like motion blur, contrast, details here and there, blur focus, depth of field adjusted blurs... even if there was a hint of downgrade still they managed to distribute the power of the graphics throughout the game
...on a $300 system in 2016.

That infamous yellow filter can also be seen in this game, the same thing happened whey they downgraded, Witcher 3, Spiderman, Horizon ZD and other, their lighting gets that yellowish filter to it.

Basically naughty dog found the best lighting angle for the game which made it to the retail version.
The colors seem so vibrant in the retail build compared to the E3 build, I lvoe it.

I think it's pretty obvious this segment was shown because it was almost finished all the way back at E3. The only real differences are colour grading / lighting, and a slightly muddier water.
This was the first game i've played on a next gen console. I was blown away from the graphics!

They changed that to fit the time of the day they went searching for the towers or else it would have some dumb continuity with " you're near a damn volcano far from a city spending the entire day searching for the treasure and still be the same time of day once you head back to the city"
